أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
My Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite verse 255, the Ayatul-Kursiy. Please refer to the text :
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ  صلى   وَلَا يَئُودُهُو حِفْظُهُمَا ج  وَهُوَ الْعَلِىُّ الْعَظِيمُ
(255)
=  "Wa-si-'a Kur-siy-yu Hus-Sa-ma~wa~ti Wal-Ardh."
"Wa-si-'a" = vast, spacious,  "Kur-siy-yu" = Chair of the Throne,  "Hu" (after it, is an Alif Lam Syamsiyah, "Hus-") = his,  "As-Sa-ma~wa~ti" (2 Mad Ashli) = the heavens,  "Wa" (after it, is an Alif Lam Qomariyah, "Wal-") = and,  "Al-Ar-dho" (the silent Ro is a Tafkhim. We pause at the above sign Dhod, becomes a silent Dhod, "-Ardh") = the earth.  صلى  = a pause is permitted but not pausing is preferred sign.
=  "His/Allah's Kursi/Chair of the Throne encompasses the heavens and the earth."   =   (Allah's Knowledge and (His) Chair of the Throne, that are His Kingdom, encompasses completely the Seven heavens and the earth.).
 =  "Wa La~ Ya-u~du Hu~ Hif-zhu Hu-ma~".
 "Wa" = and,  "La~" (a Mad Ashli) = no,  "Ya-u~du" (a Mad Ashli) = burden,  "Hu~" (a Mad Shilah Qoshiroh) = him,  "Hif-zhu" =  in keeping,  "Hu-ma~" = them both.  ج = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
=  "There is no burden to Him in keeping or taking care of them both".   =  (He/Allah is  never weary nor it is a burden to Him in keeping and taking care of both of them, the heavens and the earth).
  = "Wa Hu-wal-'A-liy-yul-'A-zhi~~~m".
"Wa" = and,  for,  "Hu-wa" (after the above sign Waw is an Alif Lam Qomariyah, "-wal-") = he,  "Al-'A-liy-yu" (after the front sign Ya is an alif Lam Qomariyah, "-yul-") = the Most High, Sublime,   "Al-'A-zhi~mu" (we stop at the Mad Ashli, becomes a Mad 'Aridh Lis-Sukun, to 2 or 4 or 6 harakah, "-zhi~~~m") = the Greatest, Magnificent.   (255) = the end of the verse and the number is its number sign.
=  "For He is the Most High/Most Sublime, the Greatest/Most Magnificent".
 {We can now add another 2 Names of God, (vii) Al-'A-liy-yu = The Most High/Sublime, (viii) Al-'A-zhi~m = The Greatest/ Magnificent}.
Until we meet again in the next session, Insya Allah. See all of You Quran Lovers soon.
Wassalamu alaikum w. w.
Abdul Hamid Mohd Yusof Ali.
