Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh (synopsis of Islam). Please refer to the text:
Qul Mank~Ka~na 'A-duw-wal-Li Jibb-ri~la",  "Qul" = Say, "Man" = whosoever, "Ka~na" = is,  "   'A-duw-wan" = enemy, "Li" = of, "Jibb-ri~la" = Gabriel,
فَإِنَّهُو نَزَّلَهُو عَلَى قَلْبِكَ بِإِذْنِ اُللهِ = "Fa In~na Hu~ Naz-za-la Hu~ 'A-la~ Qol-bi Ka Bi Iz-nil-Lahi",  "Fa" = then, "In~na" = truly, "Hu~" = he, "Naz-za-la" = brings down, reveals, "Hu~" = It, " 'A-la~" = on, into, "Qol-bi" = heart, "Ka" = your, "Bi" = with, by, "Iz-ni" = permission, "Al-Lahi" = Allah,
Mu-shod-di-qol-Li Ma~ Bai-na Ya-dai Hi", "Mu-shod-di-qon" = approving and confirming, "Li Ma~" = which was, "Bai-na" = before, "Ya-dai" = hand, "Hi" = his,

"Qul Mank~Ka~na 'A-duw-wal-Li Jibb-ri~la Fa In~na Hu~ Naz-za-la Hu~ 'A-la~ Qol-bi Ka Bi Idz-nil-Lahi Mushod-di-qol-Li Ma~ Bai-na Ya-dai Hi Hu-daw~Wa Busy-ro~ Lil-Muu-mi-ni~~n". = Say! "Who is an enemy to Gabriel, who, truly, brings It/the Quran into your heart by Allah's will, approving and confirming that which were (revealed) before It, and (It is) a guidance and (It brings) good tidings to the Believers".
(This verse was revealed to deny the Jews' accusation that Archangel Gabriel a.s. was their enemy. There were 5 occurrences which had happened before this verse was revealed, and let us take a look at one, from Anas bin Malik that 'Abdullah bin Salam, a Jew heard that the Prophet s.a.w. was coming, and at that time he was in the desert. When the Prophet s.a.w. came, he said, "I want to ask you three things which are unknown by anyone except by a Prophet, (i) What is the first sign of the Doomsday. (ii) What is the first food served in the Paradise. (iii) What causes a child resembles the look of his father or mother?"
The Prophet s.a.w. said, "Gabriel has just told me about them". Abdullah said, "Gabriel?". The Prophet s.a.w. said, "Yes. The Gabriel who is the enemy of the Jewish people. Say! Who is an enemy to Gabriel, who, truly, brings It/the Quran into your heart. (i) The first sign of the Doomsday is a fire accompanying mankind from the East to the West. (ii) The first food served in the Paradise is the whale liver. (iii) If the male's sperm dominions the female's , then the child will resemble the father's look. But if the female's dominions the male's, then the child will look like her."
Then, Abdullah bin Salam declared the Muslim creed/Syahadatain". (narrated by Bukhori).
(98) (to be continued).
                                     oooo000oooo
Let us now continue to look into the Islamic Basic Rules:
   (2) Solat: (F) Solat Sunnah:
   (c) Solat Sunnah Rowatib Maghrib:
After performing Solat Fardhu Maghrib, it is Sunnah to perform two Rokaat Solat Sunnah Maghrib based on the Hadith Ummu Habibah and Ibnu Umar that the Prophet s.a.w. had never missed performing it.
  The Niat is أُصَلِّى سُنَّةَ اُلْمَغْرِبِ = "U-shol-li~ Sun~na-tal-Magh-rib".
  If it were a Qo-dhoo/make up for/accomplishment, أُصَلِّى سُنَّةَ الْمَغْرِبِ قَضَاءً = "U-shol-li~ Sun~na-tal-Magh-ri-bi Qo-dho~an".
  (d) Solat Sunnah Rowatib 'I-syaa:
It is Sunnah to perform two Rokaat Solat Sunnah 'Isyaa after performing Solat Fardhu 'Isyaa.
These twelve Rokaat Solat Sunnah are of  Solat Sunnah Mu-ak-kadd/positive category.
The Surah recited after Al-Fatihah, in the first Rokaat, the Prophet s.a.w. had always recited surah 109 Al-Kafirun: Qul Ya~~ Ai-yu-hal-Ka~firu~~n. And in the second Rokaat is surah 112 Al-Ikhlash: Qul Hu-wal-Lohu Ahadd, this is based on the report from Ibnu Mas-'ud r.a., narrated by Ibnu Majah.
There are Solat Sunnah Rowatib Ghoi-ro Mu-ak-kadd/not positive:
  (i) Two or four Rokaat before Solat Fardhu 'Ashor:
There are many Hadith about this. Among which is a Hadith from Ibnu Umar r.a. who reported that the Prophet s.a.w. said, "Allah have Mercy on those who perform four Rokaat Sunnah before 'Ashor". (narrated by Ahmad, Abu Daud, Tirmidzi, Ibnu Hibban and Ibnu Khuzaimah).
Of two Rokaat, is based on a Hadith, "Between the Azan and the Qomat there is a (two Rokaat) Solat (Sunnah). (narrated by Jamaah/group).
  (ii) Two Rokaat Before Maghrib:
From Abdullah ibnu Mughofal that the Prophet s.a.w. said, "Perform Solat before Maghrib, perform Solat before Maghrib," then after the third time, he s.a.w. said, "for those who wish to do it".
  (iii) Two Rokaat Before 'Isyaa:
From Abdullah ibnu Mughofal that the Prophet s.a.w. said, "Between the Azan and the Qomat there is a (2 Rokaat) Solat (Sunnah)," then after the third time, he s.a.w. said, "for those who wish to do it". (narrated by Jamaah).
Ibnu Zubair reported that the Prophet s.a.w. said, "There is no Solat Fardhu except there is before it a two Solat Sunnah". (narrated by Ibnu Hibban).
(iv) Solat Sunnah Witir/odd (in numbers): (to be continued).

Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh (synopsis of Islam). Please refer to the text:
"Wa" = And, "La" = truly, "Ta-ji-dan~na" = you will find, "Hum" = them, "Ah-ro-sho" = greedier than, "an~Na~si" = the people, " 'A-la" = on, of, "Ha-ya~tin" = life, "Wa Mi-na" = and from, "al-La-dzi~na" = who, "Asy-ro-ku~" = polytheists, pagans.
"Wa La Ta-ji-dan~na Hum Ah-ro-shon~Na~si 'A-la~ Ha-ya~tiw~Wa Mi-nal-La-dzi~na Asy-ro-ku~".  = Truly, you will find them/Children of Israel are very greedy of life. They are greedier than the Polytheists/pagans.
"Ya-wad-du" = They wish, "A-ha-du" = one, each, "Hum" = them, "Law" = if, "Yu-'am~ma-ru" = they live long, "Al-fa" = a thousand, "Sa-na-tin" = years, "Wa Ma~" = and not, "Hu-wa" = he, "Bi" = with, "Mu-zah-zi-hi" = move away, "Hi~" = it, "Mi-na" = from, "al-'A-dza~bi" = the punishment, "An" = that, "Yu-'am~ma-ro" = live long.
"Ya-wad-du A-ha-du Hum Law Yu-'am~ma-ru Al-fa Sa-na-tiw~Wa Ma~ Hu-wa Bi Mu-zah-zi-hi Hi~ Mi-nal-'A-dza~bi Ay~Yu-'am~marr".  = They/The Children of Israel wished that they would live long to a thousand years, but, on the contrary, long lives will not move them away/avoid from (Allah's) punishment.
قلى = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
Wal-Lohu Ba-shi~rum~Bi Ma~ Yaa-ma-lu~~n".  "Wa" = And, "Al-Lohu" = Allah, "Ba-shi~run" = observe, "Bi Ma~" at what, "yaa-ma-lu~na" = they do.
"Wal-Lohu Ba-shi~rum~Bi Ma~ Yaa-ma-lu~~n". = For Allah observes all what they do.
(Allah tells us that there are people who wish to live long to a thousand years on this world. Such people do not worship Allah. They are even worst than the pagans who worship creatures such as the moon, the sun, the stars and so forth. They/The pagans wish to live up to a thousand years. They greet one another with, "Live another thousand years!", and the other will reply, "Yes, live another thousand years!". These people do not believe in the Hereafter.
But living a long life does not shun a person from the punishment of Allah for the sins one has committed, for Allah is observing what they all do).
(97) (to be continued).
                        oooo000oooo
Let us now continue to look into the Basic Islamic Rules:
   (2) Solat:  (F) Solat Sunnah:
   (b) Solat Sunnah Zhuhur:
Hadith about the Rokaat performed in Solat Sunnah Rowatib Zhuhur varied. Some say 4, some say 6, and some say 8. Let us look at the Hadith:
 (i) Of 4 Rokaat:
Ibnu 'Umar r.a. reported, "I memorize that the Prophet s.a.w. (perform Solat Sunnah Rowatib) 10 Rokaat: 2 Rokaat before Zhuhur and 2 after Zhuhur, 2 Rokaat after Maghrib, 2 Rokaat after 'Isyaa, 2 Rokaat before Shubuh". (narrated by  Bukhori).
 (ii) Of 6 Rokaat:
Abdullah ibnu Syafiq reported that he had asked 'Aisyah about the Prophet s.a.w. Solat (Sunnah Zhuhur), she r.a. replied, "He s.a.w. performed 4 Rokaat before Zhuhur and 2 Rokaat after Zhuhur". (narrated by Ahmad, Muslim and others).
  (iii) Of 8 Rokaat:
Ummu Habibah r.a. reported that the Prophet s.a.w. said, "Whosoever perform 4 Rokaat Sunnah before Zhuhur and 4 Rokaat after it, Allah will certainly prohibit their flesh from the Fire of Hell" (narrated by Ahmad and Ash-habus-Sunnah) and Tirmidzi said this is authentic.
The virtue of performing 4 Rokaat Sunnah before Zhuhur:
Abu Ayyub Al-Anshori said, "I had performed 4 Rokaat before Zhuhur and was asked, "Why did you do it as a routine?" I told them that I saw the Prophet s.a.w. performed it, so I asked him s.a.w. about it. He s.a.w. replied, " It (performing 4 Rokaat Sunnah) is the time when the gates of the heavens is opened. So, I wish that the good deed done by me at that time be brought up to the heavens". (narrated by Ahmad).
Aisyah r.a. reported, "The Prophet s.a.w. had never missed performing 4 Rokaat before Zhuhur and 2 Rokaat before Shubuh on whatever condition he s.a.w. was in.".(narrated by Ahmad and Bukhori).
The Prophet s.a.w. when he was in the mosque, there were times he s.a.w. performed 2 Rokaat before Zhuhur and when he s.a.w. was at home, he s.a.w. performed 4 Rokaat (before Zhuhur). It might have been that the Prophet s.a.w. had performed 2 Rokaat at home and when he s.a.w. went to the mosque, he would perform  another 2 Rokaat, and that was what Ibnu Umar saw and he did not know that the Prophet s.a.w. had performed 2 Rokaat at home before coming to the mosque. But Aisyah r.a. knew.
To Qodhoo/make up The Missed Sunnah Zhuhur:
Aisyah r.a. reported, "When the Prophet s.a.w. had not performed 4 Rokaat Sunnah before Zhuhur, he s.a.w. would Qodhoo it after Solat Fardhu Zhuhur". (narrated by Tirmidzi).
Ummu Salamah r.a. reported that the Prophet s.a.w. went to her house bringing a quantity of wealth. Then he s.a.w. performed Solat Fardhu Zhuhur. After that, he s.a.w. divided the wealth into smaller parts which took him s.a.w. till the time for Solat 'Ashor. He s.a.w. performed Solat 'Ashor. After that, he s.a.w. went out (with the divided wealth). That day, (it was her/Ummu Salamah's turn that) the Prophet s.a.w. be with her. (When the Prophet s.a.w. returned) He s.a.w. performed 2 short Rokaat. We asked, "O Prophet what Solat was it? Was it a new decree?". He s.a.w. replied, "No. That 2 Rokaat I always perform after Solat Zhuhur. Earlier, I was busy with dividing the wealth till the Muadzin called for Solat 'Ashor. I do not like to miss it/the Solat Sunnah after Zhuhur". (narrated by Bukhori, Muslim and Abu Daud).
The Niat For Solat Sunnah Zhuhur:
  (i) 4 Rokaat Before Zhuhur:
   أُصَلِّى سُنَّةَ اُلظُّهْرِ قَبْلِيَّةٍ أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَات = "U-shol-li~ Sun~na-tazh-Zhuh-ri Qob-liy-yah, Ar-ba-'a Ro-ka-'a~t".  = (I perform Solat Sunnah before Zhuhur four Rokaat).
  (ii) 2 Rokaat After Zhuhur:
 أُصَلِّى سُنَّةَ اُلظُّهْرِ بَعْدِيَّةٍ رَكَعَتَيْنِ = "U-shol-li~ Sun~na-tazh-Zhuh-ri Baa-diy-yah, Ro-ka-'a-tain". = (I perform Solat Sunnah after Zhuhur two Rokaat).
  (c) Solat Sunnah Rowatib Maghrib: (to be continued).

Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh (synopsis of Islam). Please refer to the text:

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
(95) وَلَن يَتَمَنَّوْهُ أَبِدَام بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ قلى وَاُللهُ عَلِيمُم بِاُلظَّلِمِينَ
وَلَن يَتَمَنَّوْهُ أَبَدَام بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ = "Wa Lay~Ya-ta-man~naw Hu A-ba-dam~Bi Ma~ Qod-da-mat Ai-di~ Him".  "Wa" = And, "Lan" = will not, "Ya-ta-man~naw" = they desire, wish, "Hu" = it, "A-ba-dan" = ever, "Bi Ma~" = with what, "Qod-da-mat" = have committed, "Ai-di~" = hands, "Him" = their.
"Wa Lay~Ya-ta-man~naw Hu A-ba-dam~Bi Ma~ Qod-da-mat Ai-di~ Him". = But they/the Children of Israel will never wish for it/death because of what they have committed (the sins) with their hands.
قلى = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
Wal-Lohu 'A-li~mum~Bizh-ZHo~li-mi~~n".  "Wa" = And, "Al-Lohu" = Allah, " 'A-li~mun" = knows, "Bi" = of, "azh-ZHo~li-mi~na" = the evil doers.
"Wal-Lohu 'A-li~mum~Bizh-ZHo~li-mi~~n". = And Allah knows the evil doers.
(The Children of Israel would never wish for death, and if possible, they would wish to live on this earth for ever because they have committed a great deal of sins. Do remember that Allah/Yahweh knows who the evil doers are (including all of us, Muslimin), and we shall be punished for our evil doings unless we repent and ask for forgiveness).
                             oooo000oooo
Now let us continue to look into the Basic Islamic Rules:
  (2) Solat:  (F) Solat Sunnah:
  (a) Solat Sunnah Rowatib:
  (i) From Ummu Habibah, Ummul-Muu-minin/mother of Muuminin r.a. who said, "I heard the Prophet s.a.w. said, "Whosoever perform Solat (Sunnah) twelve Rokaat in a day and a night, Allah will definitly build a house (for each one of them) in the Paradise". (narrated by Muslim and Tirmidzi who added , "(i.e.) four Rokaat before (Fardhu) Zhuhur and two Rokaat after it, and two Rokaat after (Fardhu) Maghrib, and two Rokaat after 'Isyaa, and two Rokaat before Solat Fajar/Shubuh").
(ii) And from the Five: from her a.s. "Whosoever constantly perform four Rokaat before Zhuhur and four Rokaat after Zhuhur, Allah will certainly forbid them from entering the Fiery Hell". [But they must constantly be true Believers and also do good deeds].
  (a) Solat Sunnah Before Fardhu Shubuh:
It is called Solat Sunnah Fajar/dawn: There are many Hadith about the virtue of Solat Sunnah Fajar. Among them is: From Aisyah r.a. who said, "The Prophet s.a.w. said, "Two Rokaat Solat Sunnah Fajar is better than (the goodness of) the world and its content". (narrated by Ahmad, Muslim, Tirmidzi and Nasa-i).
The Niat is: أُصَلَّى سُنَّةَ الْفَجْرِ = "U-shol-li~ Sun~natal-Fajr". And the ritual is the same as the Solat Fardhu.
To Qo-dhoo/make up for the missed Solat sunnah Shubuh: As reported by Abu Huroiroh r.a. who said, "The Prophet s.a.w. said, "Whosoever have not performed the two Rokaat Solat Sunnah Fajar until the sun comes out, should perform/qo-dhoo the Solat". (narrated by Baihaqi and Nawawi said that it's sanad is good).
 (b) Solat Sunnah Rowatib Zhuhur: (to be continued).
Until we meet again in the next session, see you all Quran Lovers later.

Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh (synopsis of Islam). Please refer to the text:
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم

"Wa Idz A-khodz Na~ Mi~tha-qo Kum Wa Ro-faa Na~ Faw-qo Ku-mut-Tu~ro KHu-dzu~ Ma~~ A~tai Na~ Kum~Bi Quw-wa-tiw~Was-ma-'u~". = And (remember) when We/Allah obtained a covenant with all of you (O Children of Israel) and We had lifted the mountain above all of you (saying) "Take/perform that which We gave/commanded all of you earnestly and listen (to the teaching of the Torah)".
صلى = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
قَالُواْ سَمِعْنَا وَعَصَيْنَا وَأُشْرِبُواْ فِى قُلُوبِهِمُ اُلْعِجْلَ بِكُفْرِهِمْ = "Qo~lu~ Sa-mii Na~ Wa 'A-shoi Na~ Wa Usy-ri-bu~ Fi~ Qu-lu~bi Hi-mul-'Ijj-la Bi Kuf-ri Him".  "Qo~lu~" = They say, "Sa-mii" = listen, "Na~" = we, "Wa" = and, " 'A-shoi" = disobey "Na~" = we, "Wa" = and, "Usy-ri-bu~" = to absorb, "Fi~" = in, "Qu-lu~bi" = hearts, "Hi-mu" = their, "al-'Ijj-la" = the calf, "Bi" = due to, "Kuf-ri" = impiety, "Him" = their.
"Qo~lu~ Sa-mii Na~ Wa 'A-shoi Na~ Wa Usy-ri-bu~ Fi~ Qu-lu~bi Hi-mul-'Ijj-la Bi Kuf-ri Him".  = They replied, "We listen but we disobey". Their love for the Calf was absorbed deep into their hearts due to their impiety.
ج = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
قُلْ بِئْسَمَا يَأْمُرُكُم بِهِى~ إِيمَنُكُمْ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ = "Qul Bii-sa Ma~ Yaa-mu-ru Kum~Bi Hi~~ I~ma~na Kum Ink~Kunt~Tum~Muu-mi-ni~~n".  "Qul" = Say, "Bii-sa" = vile indeed, "Ma~" = what, Yaa-mu-ru" = command, "Kum" = all of you, "Bi Hi~" = of it, "I~ma~nu" = belief, "Kum" = all of you, "In" = if, "Kunt~Tum" = you are, "Muu-mi-ni~na" = believers.
"Qul Bii-sa Ma~ Yaa-mu-ru Kum~Bi Hi~~ I~ma~nu Kum Ink~Kunt~Tum~Muu-mi-ni~~n".  = Say, "Vile/Evil and low indeed is that which your belief/Faith commands all of you, if all of you were Believers.
(Once again Allah rebukes the Children of Israel that the Prophet Moses a.s. was sent to them bringing with him a.s. clear proofs and his Prophetic Powers, yet they backslid to worship the live golden calf when Prophet Moses a.s. left them for 40 nights to receive the Torah from Yahweh. And then when Allah/Yahweh threatened them with the mountain lifted above them, they said that they agreed to obey the commandments of Allah earnestly, but in their hearts, they said they would not obey. They still continued with their sinful deeds because their love for the live golden calf was absorbed deep into their hearts. That way of belief/Faith was indeed evil and low. Were they commanded to believe in that way?).
(94) (to be continued).
                                 oooo000oooo
Now let us continue to look into the Basic Islamic Rules:
   (2) Solat: (F) Solat Sunnah:
Solat Sunnah is decreed in order to make good any deficiency in a Solat Fardhu, and Solat Sunnah has the preference which cannot be comparable with other 'Ibadah/rites. Abu Huroiroh r.a. reported that the Prophet s.a.w. said, " On the Judgment Day, the first deed of a person be judged is his/her Solat. Our Lord will say to His Angels and He s.w.t. is Most Knowing, "Look into my bondservant's Solat, did he/she performed well or not. If it was performed well, do write, well-done. If there is some lacking, look whether he/she had performed Solat Sunnah. If he/she had, make use of his/her Solat Sunnah to make good his/her Solat Fardhu. Do the same with his/her other deeds." (narrated by abu Daud).
Abu Umamah r.a. reported that the Prophet s.a.w. said, "Allah has never allowed any of His bondservant to do any deed more preferential than two Rokaat of Solat (Sunnah) and "Goodness" is always being poured on his/her head as long as he/she is in the Solat". (Narrated by Ahmad and Tirmidzi, Suyuti confirmed it).
It is Sunnah To Perform Solat Sunnah At Home: (to be continued).
Until we meet again in the next session, see you all Quran Lovers soon.

وَلَقَدْ جَآءَكُم مُّوسَى بِاُلْبَيِّنَتِ = "Wa La-qodd Ja~~a Kum~Mu~sa~ Bil-Bai-yi-na~ti",  "Wa La-qodd" = And indeed, "Ja~~a" = come, "Kum" = all of you, "Mu~sa~" = Moses, "Bi" = with, "al-Bai-yi-na~ti" = the clear proofs,
 ثُمَّ اُتَّخَذْتُمُ اُلْعِجْلَ مِنم بَعْدِهِى = "THum~mat-Ta-khodz Tu-mul-'Ijj-la Mim~Baa-di Hi~",  "THum~ma" = then, "it-Ta-khodz" = dispute, "Tu-mu" = all of you, "al-'Ijj-la" = the calf, "Min" = from, "Baa-di" = after, "Hi~" = he,
Wa An~tum ZHo~li-mu~~n".  "Wa An~tum" = and all of you, "ZHo~li-mu~na" = all of you do wrong.
"Wa La-qodd Ja~~a Kum~Mu~sa~ Bil-Bai-yi-na~ti THum~mat-Ta-khodz Tu-mul-'Ijj-la Mim~Baa-di Hi~ Wa An~tum ZHo~li-mu~~n".  = And indeed, Moses came to all of you with clear proofs. Then you (O Children of Israel) disputed (and took) the Calf (as your god) after he/Moses (left you for Sina Mountain) and all of you had done grievous wrong.
(When Prophet Moses a.s. came to his a.s. people bringing with him clear proofs that he a.s. was a Messenger of Allah/Yahweh/Elohim, such as the wind-storm, grass-hoppers, fleas, frogs, blood, sticks, hands, division of the sea, shelter of the clouds, drinking water from the rock, the honey-dew, the quails, and so forth yet when the Prophet Moses a.s. left them for the Sina Mountain, they took the live golden calf as god).

Let us continue to look into the Basic Islamic Rules:
  (2) Solat : (E) To Recite Doa Qunut In The Solat Fardhu Shubuh:
The book Fiqhus-Sunnah by As-Said Sabiq rh.a. says:
The Doa Qunut/against an enemy is not decreed in Solat Shubuh except during difficult times. During difficult times, the Prophet s.a.w. performed Doa Qunut, in Shubuh, and in the other four Solat.
Abu Malik Al-Asyja'i reported that his father had followed the Prophet s.a.w. in Solat, he was 16 then and had also followed Abu Bakr, Umar and Uthman r.a. in Solat. He/Abu Malik asked his father, "Did they recite Doa Qunut?" His father replied, "No my son. It was Bid'ah/novelty or an invention". (narrated by Ahmad, Nasa-i, Ibnu Majah and Tirmidzi who confirmed it).
Anas r.a. reported that the Prophet s.a.w. did not recite Doa Qunut in Solat Shubuh. (narrated by Ibnu Hibban, Al-Khatib and Ibnu Khuzaimah who confirmed it).
Anas r.a. had also reported that the Prophet s.a.w. did not recite Doa Qunut in Solat Shubuh unless the Doa is for the goodness of a Qoum/people or a Doa against a Qoum/enemy.
Zubair and the three Caliphs had reported that they did not recite Doa Qunut in (every) Solat Shubuh. The Ulama of Hanafi, Hanabil, Ibnu Mubarok, Thauri and Is-haq had adopted this opinion. While the Syafiei perform this Doa Qunut in their Solat Shubuh, after the Rukuu in the final Rokaat, when Iitidal, to them it is Sunnah, basing on the report from Ibnu Sirin that Anas bin Malik was asked, "Did the Prophet s.a.w. recite Doa Qunut in Solat Shubuh?". Anas replied, "Yes." And when he was again asked, "Before or after Rukuu". He said, "After Rukuu". (narrated by Jamaah except Tirmidzi).  And the Ulama of Syafiei also based on a report by Anas r.a. that the Prophet s.a.w. did not stop reciting the Doa Qunut in Solat Shubuh until he s.a.w. passed away. (narrated by Ahmad, Bazar, Darulqutni, Baihaqi and Hakim who confirmed it).
However, as we have seen the Hadith reported by Anas that the Prophet s.a.w. did not recite Doa Qunut in Solat Shubuh as narrated by Ibnu Hibban and others, and that the Caliphs too did not recite Doa Qunut in Solat Shubuh, thus we find that all the Imam in both Sacred Mosques, the Masjidil-Haram and the Masjid An-Nabawi do not recite Doa Qunut in Solat Shubuh.

Recitation 242

Dear Quran Lovers,
Before we recite a verse today, I wish to thank one of you Quran Lovers who on last Thursday afternoon said that you believed in me though there was an Ustaz who said that I gave some false Hadith to all of you. I believe that that Ustaz has not read the books that I have, the Fiqh As-Sunnah by Syaikh As-Said Sabiq, the Guide to Dzikir and Doa by Prof. T.M. Hasbi Ash-Shiddiqy, the Shohih Muslim and the Bulughul Maram. I do not believe As-Said Sabiq would produce false Hadith. He rh.a. was the Head of Al-Azhar University in Cairo in th 40's.
Let us now continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh (synopsis of Islam). Please refer to the text:

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ ءَامِنُواْ بِمَآ أَنزَلَ اُللهُ = "Wa I-dza~ Qi~la La Hum A~mi-nu~ Bi Ma~~ Anz~za-lal-Lohu",  "Wa" = And "I-dza~" = when, "Qi~la" = is said, "La Hum" = to them, "A~mi-nu~" = believe, "Bi Ma~" = in what, "Anz~za-la" = reveal, "Al-Lohu" = Allah,
قَالُواْ نُؤْمِنُ بِمَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْنَا = "Qo~lu~ Nuu-mi-nu Bi Ma~~ Unz~zi-la 'A-lai Na~",  "Qo~lu~" = they say, "Nuu-mi-nu" = we believe, "Bi Ma~" = in what, "Unz~zi-la" = revealed, " 'A-lai Na~" = to us,
Wa Yak-fu-ru~na Bi Ma~ Wa-ro~~a Hu~", "Wa" = and, "Yak-fu-ru-na" = they deny, "Bi Ma~" = with what, "Wa-ro~~a" = behind, "Hu~" = it,
وَهُوَ اُلْحَقُّ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا مَعَهُمْ = "Wa Hu-wal-Haq-qu Mu-shod-di-qol-Li Ma~ Ma-'a Hum".  "Wa Hu-wa" = and it, "al-Haq-qu" = the Truth, "Mu-shod-di-qon" = confirming, "Li Ma~" = whatever, "Ma-'a Hum" = with them.
"Wa I-dza~ Qi~la La Hum A~mi-nu~ Bi Ma~~ Az~za-lal-Lohu Qo~lu~ Nuu-mi-nu Bi Ma~~ Unz~zi-la 'A-lai Na~ Wa Yak-fu-ru~na Bi Ma~ Wa-ro~~a Hu~ Wa Hu-wal-Haq-qu Mu-shod-di-qol-Li Ma~ Ma-'a Hum". = And when it is said to them/Children of Israel, "Believe in what/Quran is revealed by Allah". They said, "We believe in what/Torah was revealed to us", while they disbelieve/deny what/the Injil/Gospel and the Quran which were revealed after It/the Torah, and It/the Gospel and the Quran was the Truth confirming whatever/the Torah that is with them (in their possessions).
قلى = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
"Qul" = Say, "Fa-li-ma" = then why, "Taqq-tu-lu~na" = all of you killed, "Am~bi-ya~~a" = Prophets, "Al-Lohi" = Allah, "Min" = from, of, "Qobb-lu" = before, in the past, "In" = if, "Kun~Tum" = all of you are, "Muu-mi-ni~na" = believers.
"Qul Fa-li-ma Taqq-tu-lu~na Am~bi-ya~~al-Lohi Minq~Qobb-lu Ink~Kun~Tum~Muu-mi-ni~~n". = Say (O Muhammad to them), "Why did all of you/your ancestors in the past kill the Prophets of Allah, if all of you were Believers?".
O = an Eight Angles Star denotes the end of the section.
( The Children of Israel when were asked to believe in the Quran said, "We only believe in the Torah and will not believe in other Scriptures which come after It (such as the Gospel and the Quran)", while the Gospel and the Quran are the Truth from Allah/Yahweh or Elohim, confirming the content of the Torah as true. Then Allah asked the Prophet s.a.w. to ask the Children of Israel why then did their ancestors in the past kill the Prophets of Elohim if they truly believe in the Torah).

   (b) the ritual is the same as the four Rokaat except, in the third Rokaat, after the last Sujud, sit for the final Tasyahhud. Then make Salam.
    (ii) Solat Fardhu Shubuh is two Rokaat. (a) The niat is: أُصَلِّى فَرْضَ الصُّبْحِ = "U-shol-li~ Far-dhosh-Shubh".

Then, AlLohu Akbar, AlLohu Akbar. La~ Ila~ha Illal-Loh.
The Dzikir when hearing "Ash-Shola~tu Khoirum~Minan~Nau~m" is, صَدَقتَ وَبَارَكْتَ = Sho-daqq Ta = (you speak the truth) Wa Ba~rok Ta = ( and you are blessed).
  (E) To recite Doa Qunut in the Solat Fardhu Shubuh: (to be continued).
