ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh (synopsis of Islam). Please refer to the text:
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
O = an Eight Angles Star = the beginning of a section.

لَيْسَ اُلْبِرَّ أَن تُوَلُّواْ وَجُوهَكُمْ قِبَلَ اُلْمَشْرِقِ وَاُلْمَغْرِبِ = "Lai-sal-Bir-ro Ant~Tu-wal-Lu~ Wau-ju~ha Kum Qi-ba-lal-Masy-ri-qi Wal-Magh-ri-bi",  "Lai-sa" = Not, Not to be, "al-Bir-ro" = the dutiful, the devoted, the pious, the righteous, do good, "An" = that, "Tu-wal-lu~" = you (pl.) turn toward, "Wu-ju~ha" = faces, "Kum" = your (pl.), "Qi-ba-la" = toward, "al-Masy-ri-qi" = the East, "Wa" = and, "al-Magh-ri-bi" = the West,
وَلَكِنَّ اُلْبِرَّ مَنْ ءَامَنَ بِاُللهِ وَاُلْيَوْمِ اُلْأَخِرِ وَاُلْمَلَئِكَةِ وَاُلْكِتَبِ وَاُلنَّبِيِّنَ = "Wa La~kin~nal-Bir-ro Man A~Ma-na Bil-Lahi Wal-Yaw-mil-A~ki-ri Wal-Ma-la~~i-ka-ti Wal-Ki-ta~bi Wan~Na-biy-yi~na",  "Wa" = and, "La~kin~na" = but, "al-Bir-ro" = the devoted, good deed, "Man" = who, "A~ma-na" = believe, have Faith, "Bi" = in, "Al-Lahi" = Allah, "Wa" = and, "al-Yaw-mi" = the Day, "al-A~khi-ri" = the Last (al-Yaw-mi al-A~khi-ri = the Hereafter/life after death), "Wa" = and, "al-Ma-la~~i-ka-ti" = the Angels, "Wa" = and, "al-Ki-ta~bi" = the Scripture, "Wa" = and, "an~Na-biy-yi~na" = the Prophets,
"Lai-sal-Bir-ro Ant~Tu-wal-lu~ Wu-ju~ha Kum Qi-ba-lal-Masy-ri-qi Wal-Magh-ri-bi Wa La~kin~nal-Bir-ro Man A~ma-na Bil-Lahi Wal-Yaw-mil-A~khi-ri Wal-Ma-la~~i-ka-ti Wan~Nabiy-yi~~n".  = It is not by turning your face towards the East and to the West is a good deed, but a good deed is to believe/ have Faith in Allah and in the Hereafter and in the Angels and in the Scriptures and in the Prophets".
(This verse is lengthy and it is the basic teaching of Islam. Let us review it carefully. The People of the Scriptures decribed the meaning of good deed as turning their faces towards the East as the Christians do, and turning their faces to the West like the Jews do in prayers. But Allah say, mere turning the faces towards the East and the West is not the only good deed. Good deed is (i) To believe in Allah s.w.t. and obey His commandment, (ii) to believe in the Hereafter where all good deeds done on earth will be rewarded with the Paradise and all the luxuries and comfort therein, and where all evil deeds will be punished in the Fiery Hell, (iii) to believe in the Angels who carry out duties that Allah s.w.t. fixed on them, (iv) to believe in the Scriptures, including the Quran, (v) to believe in the Prophets a.s. of Allah s.w.t. Among them, there are 313 or 314 Messengers of Allah, and only 25 Messengers are mentioned in the Quran. Our Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. is the last and the final Prophet cum. Messenger of Allah s.w.t.).
(vi) (to be continued).

Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh (synopsis of Islam). Please refer to the text:
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
(176) ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّ اُللهَ نَزَّلَ اُلْكِتَبَ بِاُلْحَقِّ قلى وَإِنَّ اُلَّذِينَ اُخْتَلَفُواْ فِى اُلْكِتَبِ لَفِى شِقَاقِم بَعِيدٍ
ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّ اُللهَ نَزَّلَ اُلْكِتَبَ بِاُلْحَقِّ = "DZa~li-ka Bi-an~nal-Loha Naz-za-lal-Ki-ta~ba Bil-Haqq.".  "DZa~li-ka" = That, Thus, "Bi- an~na" = because, "Al-Loha" = Allah, "Naz-za-la" = revealed, "al-Ki-ta~ba" = the Scripture, "Bi" = with, "al-Haq-qi" = the Truth.
"DZa~li-ka Bi An~nal-Loha Naz-za-lal-Ki-ta~ba Bil-Haqq".  = Thus, it was because Allah had revealed the Scripture bringing the Truth.
قلى = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
وَإِنَّ اُلَّذِينَ اُخْتَلَفُواْ فِى اُلْكِتَبِ لَفِى شِقَاقِم بَعِيدٍ = "Wa In~nal-La-dzi~nakh-ta-la-fu~ Fil-Ki-ta~bi La-fi~ SYi-qo~qim~Ba-'i~~dd".  "Wa" = And, "In~na" = truly, "al-La-dzi~na" = who, "ikh-ta-la-fu~" = to differ, be different, "Fi" = in, "al-Ki-ta~bi" = the Scripture, "La-fi~" = is really, "SYi-qo~qin" = deviation, "Ba-'i~din" = far away.
"Wa In~nal-La-dzi~nakh-ta-la-fu~ Fil-Ki-ta~bi La-fi~ SYi-qo~qim~Ba-'i~~dd".  = And those who differ in (the Truth in) the Scripture have really deviated far away (from the Truth).
(They/those who concealed the verses of the Scripture revealed by Allah s.w.t., replaced guidance to error by lying and denying  and concealing the true nature of the Prophet s.a.w. thus, they will be punished a painful torment in the Hereafter. Allah s.w.t. had revealed the Truth, but they replaced it with lies, and denying and concealing the Truth, and by doing so, they have deviated far away from the Truth which will cost them a painful torment.).

Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh (synopsis of Islam). Please refer to the text:
(175) أُوْلَئِكَ اُلَّذِينَ اُشْتَرَوُاُلضَّلَلَةَ بِاُلْهُدَى وَاُلْعَذَابَ بِاُلْمَغْفِرَةِج فَمَآ أَصْبَرَهُمْ عَلَى اُلنَّارِ
أُوْلَئِكَ اُلَّذِينَ اُشْتَرَوُ اُلضَّلَلَةَ بِاُلْهُدَى = "U-la~~i-kal-La-dzi~nasy-ta-ro-wudh-DHo-la~la-ta Bil-Hu-da~(the ى with a tiny Alif sign is not pronounced, it is only the bearer on which the tiny Alif stands. This applies also to the و with a Sukun sign), "U-la~~i-ka" = Those, "al-La-dzi~na" = who, "isy-ta-ro-wu" = buy, "adh-DHo-la~la-ta" = the err, "Bi" = at the price of, "al-Hu-da~" = the guidance,
وَاُلْعَذَابَ بِاُلْمَغْفِرَةِ = "Wal-'A-dza~ba Bil-Magh-fi-roh".  "Wa" = and, "al-'A-dza~ba" = the punishment, torment, "Bi" = at the price of, "al-Magh-fi-ro-ti" = the forgiving.
"U-la~~i-kal-La-dzi~nasy-ta-ro-wudh-DHo-la~la-ta Bil-Hu-da~ Wal-'A-dza~ba Bil-Magh-fi-roh".  = Those are (the people) who buy error at the price of guidance and punishment at the price of forgiveness.
ج = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
فَمَآ أَصْبَرَهُمْ عَلَى اُلنَّارِ = "Fa Ma~ Ash-ba-ro Hum 'A-lan~Na~~rr".  "Fa" = Then, "Ma~" = what, how, "Ash-ba-ro" = be patient, courageous, "Hum" = they, " 'A-la~" = upon, to, "an~Na~ri" = the Hell Fire.
"Fa Ma~ Ash-ba-ro Hum 'A-lan~Na~~rr".  = Then how courageous they are to (face and oppose) the Hell Fire.
(Then, Allah s.w.t. described those who concealed the verses of the Scripture as replacing the guidance, that is to propagate the information about the nature of Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. and that he s.a.w. is sent to mankind as a Prophet and as a Messenger of Allah s.w.t. to convey good tidings to those who believe and do good deeds with a reward of the Paradise and to give warning of punishment and torment to those who disbelieve and do evil deeds, as is mentioned in their Scripture, to error by lying and denying and concealing the true nature of the Prophet s.a.w.. Thus, they were unaware of the fact that they have changed forgiveness to punishment that they will be tormented.
Allah s.w.t. had shown His s.w.t. feeling of astonishment that mankind has the courage to face and oppose the Fiery Hell! [Do we not fear of being burnt in a fire with the most extreme heat?]

Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 al-Baqoroh (synopsis of Islam). Please refer to the text:
إِنَّ اُلَّذِينَ يَكْتُمُونَ مَآ أَنزَلَ اُللهُ مِنَ اُلْكِتَبِ  = "In~nal-La-dzi~na Yak-tu-mu~na Ma~~ Anz~za-lal-Lohu Mi-nal-Ki-ta~bi",  "In~na" = Truly, "al-La-dzi~na" = who (m. pl.), "Yak-tu-mu~na" = hide, conceal, "Ma~" = what, "Anz~za-la" = reveal, "Al-Lohu" = Allah, "Mi-na" = from, of, "al-Ki-ta~bi" = the Scripture,
 وَيَشْتَرُونَ بِهِى ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا = "Wa Yasy-ta-ru~na Bi Hi~ THa-ma-nanq~Qo-li~lan",  "Wa" = and, "Yasy-ta-ru~na" = they buy, sell, "Bi" = with, "Hi~" = it, "THa-ma-nan" = price, "Qo-li~lan" = a few, a little,
لا = a Waqof Mamnuu = pause is prohibited sign.
أُوْلَئِكَ مَا يَأْكُلُونَ فِى بُطُونِهِمْ إِلَّا اُلنَّارَ = "U-la~~i-ka Ma~ Yaa-ku-lu~na Fi~ Bu-tu~ni Him Il-lan~Na~ro",  "U-la~~i-ka" = those, "Ma~" = do not, "Yaa-ku-lu~na" = they eat, swallow, "Fi" = into, "Bu-tu~ni" = stomachs, bellies, "Il-la~" = except, "an~Na~ro" = the fire, (If out of breath, we may pause here, and the word "Na-ro" is pronounced with 4 harakah = "Na~~rr").
وَلَا يُكَلِّمُهُمُ اُللهُ يَوْمَ اُلْقِيَمَةِ وَلَا يُزَكِّيهِمْ = "Wa La~ Yu-kal-li-mu Hu-mul-Lohu Yaw-mal-Qi-ya~ma-ti Wa La~ Yu-zak-ki~ Him",  "Wa" = and, "La~" = do not, "Yu-kal-li-mu" = He speaks, "Hum" = them, "Al-Lohu" = Allah, "Yaw-ma" = Day, "al-Qi-ya~ma-ti" = the Resurrection, "Wa" = and, "La~" = do not, "Yu-zak-ki~" = He purifies, "Him" = them,

"In~nal-La-dzi~na Yak-tu-mu~na Ma~~ Anz~za-lal-Lohu Mi-nal-Ki-ta~bi wa Yasy-ta-ru~na Bi Hi~ THa-ma-nanq~Qo-li~lan U-la~~i-ka Ma~ Yaa-ku-lu~na Fi~ Bu-tu~ni Him Il-lan~Na~ro/(Na~~rr, if pause), Wa La~ Yu-kal-li-mu Hu-mul-Lohu Yaw-mal-Qi-ya~ma-ti Wa La~ Yu-zak-ki~ Him Wa La Hum 'A-dza~bun A-li~~m".  = Truly, those who conceal what/verses revealed by Allah, that is the Scripture, and sell It for a little price/gain, they swallow nothing but fire into their bellies, and Allah will not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection nor will He purify them, and for them is a painful torment.
(Allah s.w.t. is telling  us how He s.w.t. will deal with  the Jews who concealed the information about the appearance and the nature of Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. that are described in their Scriptures as a proof of his s.a.w. prophetic and as a Messenger of Allah s.w.t.. They concealed it because they did not want to lose their position as a Jewish Priests and as Jewish Scholars, and they would not want to lose their income paid from and the present given by the Jewish and the Pagan Arab communities. Such action is detested by Allah s.w.t. and said that the Jewish Priests and Scholars were trading the verses in the Scripture for a little gain on earth, and what they earned and used the money to buy food and drink and other preferred things was in fact they were eating and swallowing Hell Fire which they will get in the Day of Resurrection. And on that Day, Allah s.w.t. will not talk to them nor will He s.w.t. purify them by praising, but He s.w.t. will punish them with painful torment.).

"In~nal-Loha GHo-fu~rur-Ro-hi~~m".  = Really, Allah is Most Forgiving Most Merciful.
( Allah s.w.t. is telling us that He s.w.t do not forbid food except (i) the corpse because mankind is a respectful being, if he/she is a Believer and does good deeds sincerely, he/she is higher in ranking than the Angels, the carcass, that is an animal died a natural death or died without being slaughtered except creatures living in the water, in the river or in the sea, and all kinds of grasshopper, (ii) blood, that is all blood that spilt, whether it flows or not, except that are in the heart and in the liver, (iii) pork/meat of a pig or a hog, it includes every part of a pig or a hog, (iv) animals slaughtered not in the name/names of Allah but in the name/s of other than Allah's.
Then Allah mentioned some conditions contrary to this prohibition, when a person is compelled to eat any of them and is not sinful, when is in these conditions: (i) A very hungry person without any food except any of those three forbidden food. He/She should only eat to satisfy his/her hunger and no more. (ii) He/She is being forced and being threatened by an enemy. (iii) A very poor person who is unable to get Halal food.
Ya~~ai-yu-hal-La-dzi~na A~ma-nu~",  "Ya~~ai-yu-ha~" = O, "al-La-dzi~na" = who (m. pl.), "A~ma-nu~" = believe,

Eat (only) the good (food) that We/Allah s.w.t. provide you, and give thanks to Allah if to Him s.w.t. you worship/if you really worship Him s.w.t..
(Allah s.w.t. command us, the Muuminin/Believers to eat good including wholesome food that He s.w.t. provide us, and that we should be thankful to Him s.w.t., if we really worship Him s.w.t.
Eating Halal/lawful food is one of the causes one's Doa/entreat is being approved, and one's 'Ibadah/religious observance is accepted by Allah s.w.t.. And if one eats Haram/unlawful food, one's Doa and one's 'Ibadah will not be accepted by Allah s.w.t.. This is explained by the Hadith reported by Abu Huroiroh r.a., narrated by Iman Ahmad that the Prophet s.a.w. siad, " O Mankind! Allah s.w.t. is Good and do not accept anything but of the Good things. Truly, Allah s.w.t. had commanded all Believers just as He s.w.t. had commanded all the Messengers of Allah r.a., He s.w.t. said, "O Messengers of Allah! Eat food that are good/wholesome, and do good deeds. Really, I/Allah am All-Knowing of what you all do.". And He s.w.t. also said in surah Al-Baqoroh verse 172, "O Believers! Eat (only) the good that We provide you". Then the Prophet s.a.w. told about a man on a far journey, his hair was disorderly and his clothing was dusty. He lifted his hands to the sky and said, "O my Lord! O my Lord!" while his food was Haram/ obtained unlawfully, his drink was Haram, his clothing was haram, and he grew by Haram food. How could his Doa be approved?"). (This Hadith is also being narrated by Muslim and At-Tirmidzi.).

"Wa Ma-tha-lul-La-dzi~na Ka-fa-ru~ Ka Ma-tha-lil-La-dzi~ Yan-'i-qu Bi Ma~ La Yas-ma-'u Il-la~ Du-'a~~aw~Wa Ni-da~~a".  = And to compare those who disbelieve is like comparing them to the animals which are bleat (by their shepherd), they/the animals hear nothing but a call and a summon (made by their shepherd).
ج = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
صُمُّم بُكْمٌ عُمْىٌ فَهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ = "SHum~mum~Buk-mun 'Um-yunf~Fa Hum La~ Yaa-qi-lu~~n".  "SHum~mun" = deaf, "Buk-mun" = dumb, " 'Um-yun" = blind, "Fa" = then, "Hum" = they, "La" = do not, "Yaa-qi-lu~na" = understand.
"SHum~mum~Buk-mun 'Um-yunf~Fa Hum La~ Yaa-qi-lu~~n".  = They/the disbelievers are deaf, dumb, blind, thus they do not understand/know (the Truth).
(Allah s.w.t. compare the disbelievers who are lost in error, in delusion, and in density to the animals reared, and He s.w.t. compare the Islamic Propagator to the shepherd. The animals/the disbelievers do not understand a word of what the shepherd's/ Propagator's call. All that they hear was the sound of a call and a summon. They cannot hear the Truth, nor can they talk about it, nor can they see the way to the Truth. Thus they will never know nor understand anything of the Truth,).

"A Wa-law Ka~na A~ba~~u Hum La~ Yaa-qi-lu~na SYai-aw~Wa La~ Yah-ta-du~~n".  = Would (they follow) even if their forefarthers did not know/understand anything (of the Truth) nor were they being guided (by Allah s.w.t.).
(Allah s.w.t. said to the disbelievers of the Polytheists/believers in many Gods, "Follow what is revealed from Allah s.w.t. to His s.w.t. Messenger s.a.w. and leave error and delusion and density that are wrapping you up", they replied, "No! We are not going to follow your revelation revealed to Your Prophet s.a.w.,but we still want to follow the ways/practices which our fathers and our forefathers were familiar with, that is to worship idols and ascribe partners to You". Allah s.w.t. said in an emphasis tone, " Even if they did not know nor understand the Truth, and they were not being rightly guided?").

(Allah s.w.t. is telling us that the Satan, our sworn enemy, is always urging us, mankind, to do evil and misdeed and to do the most incedent deed, such as to commit adultery, and so forth, and even worse, that we say things that are untrue about Allah s.w.t.
A Satan includes every unbeliever and every Muslim who practises "Bid'ah"/heresy practice which are contradictory to Islam.).

ج = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
إِنًَّهُو لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ = "In~na Hu~ La Kum 'A-duw-wum~Mu-bi~~n".  "In~na" = Truly, "Hu~" = he, "La" = to, "Kum" = you (pl.), " 'A-duw-wun" = enemy, "Mu-bi~nun" = evident/sworn.
"In~na Hu~ La Kum 'A-duw-wum~Mu-bi~~n".  = Truly, he/the Satan to all of you is an evident/a sworn enemy.
(After explaining to us that there is none should be worshipped except Him/Allah s.w.t. and that it is He/Allah s.w.t. who created and is still creating all things, Allah s.w.t. is telling us that it is He s.w.t. who provide "Rizq"/livelihood, food, property and fortune to all His creatures, including mankind. In giving food to mankind, He s.w.t. inform us that He s.w.t. permit us to eat all food in the earth,  all that are lawful, good, healthful and wholesome food which are beneficial to ourselves and which are not harmful to our  body and to our mind/ brain. Allah s.w.t. also tell us not to follow the foorsteps of the Satan who disobeys Allah. The Satan had sworn to mislead all mankind from the straight path of Allah when he was banished from the Paradise, as we have looked into before (in verse 36). And we, mankind must not eat carcass/body of a dead animal which was not slaughtered properly, blood, pork/pigs, they eat excrement, in fact all Halal animals such fish, chicken and so forth which feed on excrement are unlawful to be eaten, and the animal slaughtered in the name of other than Allah, Muslimin are forbidden to eat.
When we in a non-Islamic country, and there is no Halal restaurant, search for a Kosher/clean according to Jewish Law restaurant, or a Chinese Vegetarian restaurant. All food look and taste like meat but they are actually prepared from vegetation).

Wa Qo~lal-La-dzi~nat-Ta-ba-'u~

"Wa" = And, "Qo~la" = say, "al-La-dzi~na" = who, "it-Ta-bi-'u~" = follow, "Law" = if, "An~na" = that, "La" = for, "Na~" = us, "Kar-ro-tan" = return, "Fa" = then, "Na-ta-bar-ro-a" = we be free, "Min" = from, "Hum" = them, "Ka-ma~" = just like, "Ta-bar-ro-u~" = they be free, "Min" = from, "Na~" = us.

"Wa Qo~lal-La-dzi~nat-Ta-ba-'u~ Law An~na La Na~ Kar-ro-tanf~Fa Na-ta-bar-ro-a Min Hum Ka-ma~ Ta-bar-ro-u~ Min~Na~". = And those who follow/the followers of (their idols, leaders, celebrity and so forth) say, "If we (can) return (to the word on the earth), we will free ourselves from them (the idols, leaders, celebrity) just like they have left us (now)".
كَذَلِكَ يُرِيهِمُ اُللهُ أَعْمَلَهُمْ حَسَرَتٍ عَلَيْهِمْ = "Ka-dza~li-ka Yu-ri~ Hi-mul-Lohu Aa-ma~la Hum Ha-sa-ro~tin 'A-lai Him".  "Ka-dza-li-ka" = Thus, "Yu-ri~" = to show, "Hi-mu" = them, "Al-Lohu" = Allah, "Aa-ma~la" = deeds, "Hum" = their, "Ha-sa-ro~tin" = regret, " 'A-lai" = upon, for, "Him" = them.
"Ka-dza~li-ka Yu-ri~ Hi-mul-Lohu Aa-ma~la Hum Ha-sa-ro~tin 'A-lai Him".  = Thus, Allah show them the deeds they had done (in the world on the earth which cause them to feel) regret for them/ what they had done.
صلى  a Waqof Jaiz sign.
وَمَا هُم بِخَرِجِينَ مِنَ اُلنَّارِ = "Wa Ma~ Hum~Bi KHo~ri-ji~na Mi-nan~Na~~rr".  "Wa" = And, "Ma~" = Not, "Hum" = they, "Bi" = by, "KHo~ri-ji~na" = they depart, be free,"Mi-na" = from, "an~Na~ri" = the Hell Fire.
"Wa Ma~ Hum~Bi KHo~ri-ji~na Mi-na~Na~~rr".  = And they never depart/be free from the Fiery Hell.
(In these two verses, Allah is telling us about the idols, or the leaders, or the celebrity and so forth) who were being worshipped by their worshippers, when they are gathered on the Judgment Day and when they see the torments that they will receive, they scoot away leaving their followers behind. Seeing that their beloved idols, leaders, celebrity leave quickly and leave them behind, those followers feel regret for having loved and having worshipped them who do not care about them when in trouble. They wish that they be returned to the world on the earth to start anew. But Allah show them the evil deeds that they have on the word. And their remorse now is of no use. They cannot be free from the torment that await them in the Fiery Hell).

(To those who worship other than Allah, God the One and Only, that is they worship idols, or their beloved leader, or any celebrity and love them more than they love Allah, they are being considered by Allah as "ZHolim"/evil doers, and they will on the Judgment Day see the severe torment Allah have prepared for them for their evil doing in worshipping and loving other than Allah. On the Judgment Day all Power belong totally to Allah, for mankind were given the power of Caliph only on this earth.

Recitation 311.2

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to look into the meaning of verse 164, surah 2 Al-Baqoroh:
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
( (5) We are to ponder about the rain water that Allah send down from the sky. Rain water is the source of life of all living creatures and the vegetation. Allah send down rain in the quantity required. There are places where rain does not fall. It is all depend on the will of Allah.
(6) We are to ponder about how Allah produce all kinds of animals, some fly in the air, some crawl, some walk on their four feet, some walk on two feet and so forth. And we, mankind, were produced from our forefather, Prophet Adam a.s. who was created from soil, and we, from our father's spermatozoon which unites with our mother's ovum. And we are created in many races, with  different cultures, different characters and so forth.
(7) We are to ponder about the wind/moving air how Allah shift it. It is of a very fine substance, it is invisible, it cannot be grasp with our hands, yet it can fall a very large tree, it causes stones to fly, it can cause storm and rolling waves. And with it/air, we, the living things live. And without it, we die.
(8) Lastly, we are to ponder how the clouds float in the air, between the heaven and the earth. The cloud floats and drifts in the sky and it contains thousands of tons of water yet it floats in the sky independently requiring nothing to support it to stay afloat in the sky like that of the bulk of the cotton-wool. And when it drops down as rain, it sprinkles water drops gently, and not crushing down simultaneously. Glory be to Allah who have created all these amazing phenomenons. Do we not perceive that all these amazing phenomenons are proofs of the Greatness and the Oneness of Allah, Lord of the Creation?).

Recitation 111.1

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us look into the meaning of verse 164 of surah 2 Al-Baqoroh that we have recited yesterday:
(Allah require us, Muslimin, to ponder about eight things so that we may see clearly the proof that the True God is Allah the One and Only as mentioned in verse 163:
(i) We are asked to ponder about the heavens and the earth. The earth is one, we know it because we are living in it, and Allah told us so. We know about our earth and its content. It is surrounded by the first heaven like in a balloon. In between the earth and the first heaven is their boundary, known in Islam as "Jabal Qof"/mount Qof, which we see the blue coloured sky. Under the boundary, are the sun and the planets, the stars and the other "heavenly" bodies. We are told by Allah that He had created seven layers of heavens, and we should believe Him.
(ii) About the changing of the day and of the night. The earth rotates from the East to the West, thus we have dawn in the beginning of a day, then the midday, the afternoon, the evening, the sunset, the night, then it dawns again and it takes 24 hours of a day and a night, which causes night and day, and it never stop. The earth also revolves in a curved round orbit around the sun which causes at times the days are long, the nights are short, and at times the days are short , the nights are long. Usually people work during the day time and rest during the night. From this changing of the day and of the night, the systems of the days, the weeks, the months and the years are made. One revolution of the earth round the sun takes a year. And the moon that revolves round the earth once in approximately 28 days and reflects the sun's light  so that it looks bright at night time. The moon, at certain period of time, as, new moon, seen as slender crescent, half moon, seen as half circle, old moon, waning. One revolution of the moon round the earth takes a month.
(iii) We are to ponder about the ships sail across the seas and the oceans. The ships are laden with contents and with cargo, and also passengers. They float on the sea or on the ocean and will not sink, but can sail from one port to another. During the sailing they always endure stormy weather. And there is no saviour then, except Allah.
(iv) We are asked to ponder about the merchants and the traders who sail with their mercandise and with their determined hearts and souls fixed by Allah in their hearts, if not, they would not have the courage to sail with their goods to their destinations. Their trade earn them good profit.
Allah had purposely made each country has its own product which other countries do not have so that they will contact one another and do trade between them. And utilizing the ships as their means of transportation, their products are sent to their buyers. They not only make friends with one another but also earn handsome profit.
