Recitation No. 414

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
My Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite verse 247. Please refer to the Text :
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
قَالُواْ أَنَّىا يَكُونُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ عَلَيْنَا وَنَحْنُ أَحَقُّ بِالْمُلْكِ مِنْهُ وَلَمْ يُؤْتَ سَعَةً مِّنَ الْمَالِ  ج
= "Qo~lu~~ An~na~ Ya-ku~nu La Hul-Mul-ku 'A-lai Na~ Wa Nah-nu A-haq-qu Bil-Mul-ki Min Hu Wa Lam Yuu-ta Sa-'a-tam~Mi-nal-Ma~~~l".
"Qo~lu~" (a Mad Ashli. and after the second Mad Ashli is a standing Hamzah in the next word is a Mad Jaiz Mumfashil, 2 or 4 or 6 harakah, "-lu~~") = they said,  "An~na~" (a Wajibul-Ghunnah, the Syaddah Nun is with a humming sound to 2 harakah. A Mad Ashli) = how could,  "Ya-ku~nu" (a Mad Ashli) = to happen
"La" = to,  "Hu" (after the front sign He is an Alif Lam Qomariyah/ the Moon Definite Article, the silent Lam is pronounced, "Hul-") = him,  "Al-Mul-ku" = the king,  " 'A-lai" (a Mad Lin/softness without emphasis) = on,  "Na~" (a Mad ashli) = us,  "Wa" = and, while
"Nah-nu" = we,  "A-haq-qu" = more right,  "Bi" (after it, is an Alif Lam Qomariyah, same as above, "Bil-") to,  "Al-Mul-ki" = the king
""Min" (after the silent Nun is a "He", an Izhhar Hal-qi/ distinctively and clearly the silent Nun") = than,  "Hu" = he,  "Wa" = and, "Lam" (after the silent Mim is a "Ya", an Izhhar Syafawi/the silent Mim is pronounced distinctively and clearly) = not,  "Yuu-ta" = he bring, has, "Sa-'a-tan" (after the Tanwin Ta Marbutah is a "Mim" is an Idghom Maal-Ghunnah to 2 harakah, "-tam~M-") =  abundant,  "Mi-na" (after the above sign Nun is an Alif Lam Qomariyah, same as above, "-nal-") = in,  "Al-Ma~li" (we stop at this Mad Ashli, becomes a Mad 'Aridh Lis-Sukun, to 2 or 4 or 6 harakah, "-Ma~~~l") = the wealth, money".  ج = a pause sign.
=  "They/The Jewish Chiefs said, "How could this be happening that he/Tolut/Saul be our ruler, while we have more right to be the Ruler than he, for he does not have abundant in wealth".
قَالَ إِنَّ اللهَ  اصْطَفَاهُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَزَادَهُو بَسْطَةً فِى الْعِلْمِ وَالْجِسْمِ  صلى
=  "Qo~la In~nal-Lohash-to-fa~ Hu 'A-lai Kum Wa Za~da Hu~ Bas-to-tanf~Fil-'Il-mi Wal-Jism". 
"Qo~la" (a Mad Ashli) = He said,  "In~na" (a Wajibul-Ghunnah, same as above. After the above sign Nun is an Alif Lam Syamsiyah/the Sun Definite Article, the second Lam is pronounced, "-nal-") = truly,  "Al-Loha" (a Lafzhul-Jalalah, the second Lam is a Tafkhim) = The God,  "Ish-to-fa~" (a Mad Ashli) = to choose
"Hu" = him,  " 'A-lai" (a Mad Lin, same as above) = for, "Kum" (after the silent Mim is a "Waw", an Izhhar Syafawi, same as above) = you (pl.),  "Wa" = and,  "Za~da" (a Mad Ashli) = to increase,  "Hu~" (a Mad Shilah Qoshiroh / a short connecting, to 2 harakah) = him,  "Bas-to-tan" (after the Tanwin Ta Marbutah is a"Fa", is an Ikhfaa Haqiqi, 2 harakah, "-tanf~") = expanding,  "Fi~" (after it, is an Alif Lam Qomariyah, same as above, "Fil-" = in,
"Al-'Il-mi" = the Knowledge,  "Wa" (after it is an Alif Lam Qomariyah) =  and   "Al-Jis-mi" (we stop at this word, "Jism") = physical, body.   صلى  = a pause is permitted but not pausing is preferred sign.
=  "He/The Prophet a.s. said, "Truly, God Had Chosen him (as a king) for you (pl.) and He Had Increased and Bestowed him vast in Knowledge and physical prowess".    =   (The word To~lu~t is a Hebrew word meaning "a big and tall man", a title given to him whose name was/is Suwal / Saul son of Qois. He was a big and tall man, he was the tallest among his people. Saul was/is the direct descendant of Banyamin/Benjamen son of Prophet Jacob a.s. He was a tanner/tanning hide into leather and also fed water to donkeys before he was made a king. One day, he lost his father's donkey and went in search for it. And he passed Prophet Samuel's house and stopped to ask the Prophet a.s. if he a.s. saw his donkey. While he was in the Prophet's house, the oil in an animal horn boiled up. The Prophet a.s. was always took notice of that oil in the animal horn each time a man came to his a.s. house.) (to be continued).
