أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم
ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Dear Quran Lovers, Let us continue recite surah 90 Al-Baladd. Please refer to the text:
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
(10) وَهَدَيْنَهُ اُلنَّجْدَيْنِ = "Wa Ha-dai Na~hun~Najj-dai~n. " "Wa" = And, "Ha-dai" = show, "Na~" = We, "Hu" = him, "an~Najj-dai-ni" = the 2 uphills, uplands.
"Wa Ha-dai Na~ Hun~Najj-dai~n" = And We/Allah showed him/mankind the two upland ways (the good deeds and the sinful ways for him to choose).
(11) فَلَا اُقْتَحَمَ اُلْعَقَبَةَ = "Fa Laqq-ta-h*a-mal-'A-qo-bah". "Fa La~" = Then not, "iqq-ta-h*a-ma" = to rush, to hasten, "al-'A-qo-ba-ta" = the obstacle.
"Fa Laqq-ta-ha-mal-'A-qo-bah" = But he does not undertake the uphill ways (he does not give thanks to Allah who gave him "Niimah"/amenities, happiness and comforts though he had to undergo hardship and to face difficulties).
(12) (to be continued).
                                  oooo000oooo
Let us now continue to look into the Basic Islamic Rules:
(2) Solat: Water and Its Kinds:
(Before we discuss about the "Mustaamal"/used water, we would like to add, that water from (a) a river, (b) a lake, (c) a pond, (d) a stream, (e) a spring and so forth are pure, clean and it cleanses. These are the water we find in our water taps. These kinds of water are not mentioned in this Book "Fiqh As-Sunnah", because  these water are from the sky).
(b) "Mustaamal"/used water: A Hadith from Rubaiyii binti Mu'awwidz when explaining the way the Prophet s.a.w. took his Wudhuu, said, "And he s.a.w. wiped his head with the surplus water which was still in his hands". And (b) Abu Hurairah r.a. related that one day while was in Janabah, he met the Prophet s.a.w. on the road. Then he hurriedly left the Prophet and took a Ghusul. Then he went back to the Prophet, who asked him where did he go a moment ago. Abu Hurairah r.a. told the Prophet that he in major defilement and did not want to be with the Prophet in his defilement condition, to take a bath. The Prophet s.a.w. said, "Subhanal-Loh! Truly, Muumin/believers are never defiled." (narrated by the Jamaah). This Hadith shows that water used on a person does not make the water defiled and lost its function to cleanse. [ (c) A companion of the Prophet explained: "That the Prophet s.a.w. disallowed women to Ghusul with the surplus water of a man and vice versa and both of them should take bath together at the same time." (narrated by abu Daud, An-Nasai = in :Bulughul Maram :4.". (d) From Ibnu Abbas, he explained, " That the Prophet s.a.w. used to bathe with the surplus water used by his wife, Maimunah". (narrated by Ahmad and Muslim : Al-Muntaqo : 1.11: Bulughul Maram : 4). (e) From Ibnu Abbas who said, " One of the Prophet's wives took Ghusul from an earthware basin. Then the Prophet s.a.w. came to take wudhuu or to bathe from the basin, his wife said, "O Messenger of Allah, I had just taken a major ablution with this water.". The Prophet s.a.w. replied, "But the water is not Janabah/defiled." (narrated by Ahmad, Abu Daud, AnNasai and Tirmidzi. = Al-Muntaqo 1.11).
Water used in the Wudhuu or in Ghusul is clean and cleanses except if its taste or ordour or colour changes, then it is not.]
(c) Water mixed with clean things (to be continued).
Until we meet again, see you all Quran Lovers soon.

Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue recite surah 90 Al-Baladd. Please refer to the text:
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
(6) يَقُولُ أَهْلَكْتُ مَالًا لُّبَدًا = "Ya-qu~lu Ah-lak Tu Ma~ Lal-Lu-ba-da". "Ya-qu~lu" = They say, "Ah-lak" = used up, "Tu" = I, "Ma~lan" = money, wealth, "Lu-ba-dan" = matted wool, hair.
"Ya-qu~lu Ah-lak Tu Ma~lal-Lu-ba-da~". = They (haughtily) said, "I have used up my money (like) matted wool/a great plenty."
(7) أَيَحْسَبُ أَن لَّمْ يَرَهُو~أَحَدٌ = " A Yah*-sa-bu Al-(an Idghom Bi La~ GHunnah/assimilation without humming sound of the nasal when نْ meets with لَ )Lam Ya-ro-hu~~ (a Madd SHilah Towilah = 4 harakah) A-h*add. = "A" = Does, "Yah-sa-bu" = he consider. think, "An" = that, "Lam" = no, "Ya-ro" = perceives, "Hu~" = him. "A-h*a-dun" = one.
"A Yah*-sa-bu Al-Lam Ya-ro Hu~~ A-h*add" = Does he think that there is no one perceiving him (and Allah does not know what was in his heart and what was his intention when giving out money)?
(8) أَلَمْ نَجْعَل لَّهُو عَيْنَيْنِ = "A Lam Naj-'al-La Hu~ 'Ai-nai~n (a Madd 'Aridh Lis-Sukun/transitory to cease = 4 harakah). "A Lam " = Is it not, "Naj-'al" = We created, "La Hu~" = for him, " 'Ai-nai-ni" = two eyes.
"A Lam Naj-'al La-hu~ 'Ai-nai~n" = Did We/Allah not created for him two eyes.

"Wa Li-sa~naw~Wa SYa-fa-tai~n" = And a tongue and two lips.
(10) (to be continued).
                                  oooo000oooo
Let us continue to look into the Basic Islamic Rules:
(2) Solat/Water and Its Kinds:
(a) (iii) Well water: based on the Hadith reported byAli kr.w. that the Prophet s.a.w. asked for a bucket full of Zamzam (well) water, he drank it a little and the surplus, he used to take Wudhuu. (narrated by Ahmad).
(iv) Dam up water: water in a dam which has been discoloured due to the mixture  of water plants and fallen dried leaves.
                                *********
(b). "Mustaamal"/Used Water: Water drained off the body of a person while taking the Wudhuu or the Ghusul:
This kind of Water is still pure, clean and it can be used to cleanse defilement, to take Wudhuu and to Ghusul, and it is the same as that of the Pure Water. This is because it is originally pure and there is no basis of fact to say that it is not clean and cannot  cleanse.
(We shall discuss this matter in the next session Thus, it is to be continued).
Until the next session, see you all Quran Lovers later.

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم
ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Dear Quran Lovers,
In order to have a "Nafsu Almut*main~nah"/peaceful, serenity soul, we must be a believer doing good deeds and always recite "DZikir"/remembering Allah. What better and simple dzikir to be recited than the "Basmalah"/BismilLahirRohma~nirRohi~m each time we start to do something, and when finish doing it, recite, "Al-Hamdulillah".
Let us continue recite surah 90 Al-Baladd. Please refer to the text:
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
(3) وَوَالِدٍ وَمَا وَلَدَ = "Wa Wa~li-diw~Wa Ma~ Wa-ladd". "Wa" = And, "Wa~li-din" = fathers, "Wa Ma~" = and what/those, "Wa-la-da" = to beget.
"Wa Wa~li-diw~Wa Ma~ Wa-ladd". = (Allah swears) And by all fathers (Prophet Adam a.s, Abraham a.s.) and those children (of Adam a.s. and Abraham a.s.) they begotten.
(4) لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا اُلْإِنسَنَ فِى كَبَدٍ = "La-qodd KHo-laqq Nal-Ins~sa~na Fi~ Ka-badd". "La-qodd" = Indeed, "KHo-laqq" = created, "Na~" = We, "al-Ins~sa~na" = the mankind, "Fi~" = in, "Ka-ba-din" = enduring.
"La-qodd KHo-laqq Nal-Ins~sa~na Fi~ Ka-badd" = Indeed, We/Allah created mankind in enduring difficulties (as from his/her existence in his/her mother's womb until he is being born, then until he can walk, then growing up. There are the difficulties he/she, his/her parents and others have to face in their lifetime).
(5) أَيَحْسَبُ أَن لَّن يَقْدِرَ عَلَيْهِ أَحَدٌ = "A Yah*-sa-bu Al-Lay~Yaqq-di-ro 'A-lai Hi A-h*add". "A Yah*sa-bu" = Do they consider, think, "An" = that, "Lan" = not, never, "Yaqq-di-ro" = have power, " 'A-lai Hi" = over him, "A-h*a-dun" = one, anyone.
"A Yah*-sa-bu Al-Lay~Yaqq-di-ro 'A-lai Hi A-h*add". = Do they consider/think that there is no one who has the power over them (and there is no Doomsday nor there is anyone to requite them for what they have done on earth)?
(6) (to be continued).
                                oooo000oooo
Let us look into the Basic Islamic Rules:
(2) Solat: Wudhuu and Ghusul:
(V) We have examined the Rules of Wudhuu/minor ablution and Ghusul/major ablution and they are done by washing, and of course with water. (Have we, for a second, stop and think about the wonder of water?).
In this modern time, we obtain water mostly from the water pipe. If there were no water pipe, these are the kinds of water that we may use to take major and/or minor ablution, and to cleanse the minor and the major defilements. This water must be of pure water. They are: (i) Water that descend from the sky, i.e. the Rain, the Snow or Ice, the Hail, and the Dew, these are based on surah 8, Al-Anfal, verse 11, and s. 25 Al-Furqon v. 48 that Allah sends down water from the sky that we may purify/cleanse ourselves from the major and the minor defilements. And in a Hadith from Abu Harairah r.a. "The Prophet s.a.w. had always recited a doa in his solat after his Takbirotul-Ihrom and before reciting the Fatihah: " ... O Allah, purify me like You cleanse a dirty white linen. O Allah purify me from my errors with the snow, the (rain) water and the dew." (narrated by Jamaah/Company except Tirmidzi).
(ii) The Sea water: Abu Hurairah r.a. reported that a man had asked the Prophet s.a.w., said, "O Messenger of Allah, we used to go out to the sea bringing a little water with us. If we used that water for wudhuu, we would not have water to drink. Can we use the sea water for Wudhuu?" The Prophet s.a.w. replied, "It/the sea water is pure/clean and purifies/can clean defilement, and its deads/fish and sea creatures are "Halal"/permissible to be eaten". (narrated by the Five).
(iii) (to be continued).
Until the next session, see you all Quran Lovers later.

Recitation 126.1

Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to look into the Basic Islamic Rules:
(2)  Solat: Ghusul:
(iv) Some matters about Ghusul to be settled:
(e) It is permissible to wipe dry the body after taking the Wudhuu or the Ghusul, whether it is in summer or is in winter time.
(f) It is permissible for the male to take Ghusul  using the surplus water which was used by the woman for Ghusul and vice versa, like that of them both taking bath together using water in the same water container. It is based on the Hadith from Ibnu Abbas r.a. and was narrated by Ahamd, Abu Daud, Nasai and Tirmidzi.
(g) It is prohibitted to bathe naked in the public, because exposing the "Aurah"/genitals is "Haram"/forbidden. However, bathing naked in an enclosed place is permissible.
Fatimah r.a., the daughter of the Prophet s.a.w. used to erect an enclosure, or a cloth curtain and the Prophet s.a.w. had a bath in it. Bathing naked in a place unseen by others is permissible. (There is no authoritative quotation saying it is "Makruh"/detestable.).
Prophet Moses a.s used to bathe naked, as ia narrated by Bukhari. And Abu Hurairah r.a. reported from the Prophet s.a.w. "When Prophet Ayyub/Job a.s. was bathing naked, a golden locust/grass-hopper fell in front of him. When he wanted to pick it up, he was called by his Lord, "O Job! Do you not have enought wealth that you do need to take the thing you see." Job a.s. replied, "True, O Lord by Your Glory, but I cannot dispense with Your Blessing." (narrated by Ahmad, Bukhari and Nasai).
(V) Water and its kinds: (to be continue).
Until the next session, see you all Quran Lovers soon.

[As it is mentioned in an authentic Hadith: "Truly, this City/Mecca was made sanctified by Allah in the beginning when He created the heavens and the earth. And that City/Mecca remains sacred in the sacredness as was determined by Allah until the Day of Judgement. All trees in the City /Mecca are forbidden to be cut down, and the crops and the plants which are still alive are forbidden to be pulled out. Truly, I was allowed (to do battle in there/Mecca) for just one second during the day time (the day in the 7th year of the Hijrah) the Prophet s.a.w. conquered Mecca without spilling a drop of blood). Today, the prohibition (to do battle in the City) is (once again) being imposed, as it was before. Be known! Those who are present today should convey (this message) to those who are not present." And (b) in another Hadith, "Should there be anyone who feels that he is given relief to do battle that was once given to the Messenger of Allah, say: "Truly, Allah had only permitted His Messenger (to do battle in Mecca) and does not permit any of you."]

اُرْجِعِى~إِلَى رَبِّكِ = "Ir-ji-'i~~ (a Hamzah Washol, اُ , when is Ibtidaa/started and the third letter is with a below sign, جِـ , is pronounced with below sign, إِ , the رْ is a Ro Tarqiq/soft and thinning out, and the عِى is a Madd Jaiz Mumfashil = 4 harakah) I-la~ Rob-bi Ki",  "Ir-ji-'i~" = Return, "I-la~" = to. Let us now look into the Basic Islamic Rules:
(2) Solat: Ghusul/major ablution:
(iv) Some matters about Ghusul to be settled:
(a) All major defilements, i.e. Janabah, menses, childbirth bleeding, the Jummat, the two Idds, and so forth may be cleansed with  one Ghusul, only if the person resolves in the Niat/intent to take the Ghusul to cleanse all those defilements in that one bath. This is based on the Hadith, the Prophet s.a.w. said, "Really, all affairs are referred to what is resolved upon. And take the intent for the deed."
(b) When a person took a Ghusul but before taking a wudhuu first, the Ghusul includes the taking of wudhuu. Aisyah r.a. said, "The Prophet s.a.w. did not take wudhuu after Ghusul."
(c) A female during menses and people in Janabah may shave their hair, cut their finger nails, go to the market, and so forth and these are not "Makruh"/detestable.
(d) They are allowed to go the public bath. But they are not allowed to look at the private part of others (if they were naked in the place) because it forbidden male to look at the private part of other male and female to look at the private part of other female (unless a doctor and so forth to the patient, a husband and the wife, vice versa)
(e) (to be continued).

يَقُولُ يَلَيْتَنِى = "Ya-qu~lu Ya~ Lai-ta Ni~", "Ya-qu~lu" = They say, "Ya~" = O, "Lai-ta" = would that, "Ni~" = I
قَدَّمْتُ لِحَيَاتِى = "Qod-dam Tu Li H*a-ya~ti~". "Qod-dam" = had in advance, "Tu" = I, "Li" = in, "H*a-ya~ti~" = my life
"Ya-qu~lu Ya Lai-ta Ni~ Qod-dam Tu Li H*a-ya~ti~" = (When the Hell is brought forth, they remember all the misdeeds they had done.) They say: "O! Would that I had in advance (on the earth did good deeds as an investment) for this life (in the Hereafter).

(27) (to be continued).
                                oooo000oooo
Let us now look into the Basic Islamic Rules:
(2) Solat" Ghusul/major ablution:
Ghusul Sunnah/Bathing:
(i) Friday prayers is Fardhu/duty/obligatory to males only. Females are not. They need to be at home.
(ii) The Two 'Idd/Al-Fitrr and Al-Adh-h*a~ Feast Days. There is no good and strong Hadith requiring people to take bath before going to prayers on these 2 Feast Days.
(iii) He/She who had bathed a "maiyit"/deceased.: Most Ulama say it is Sunnah for the person who had bathed a maiyit to take Ghusul and it is based on the Hadith from Abu Hurairah r.a. that the Prophet s.a.w. requested those who bathe the maiyit, and those who carry it to take wudhuu, as narrated by Ahmad and the Group of people of Sunnah. (b) A report from Umar r.a. who said, " We bathed maiyits, some of us took Ghusul and some did not.". (narrated by Khatib). (c) When Asmaa binti 'Umeis had bathed her deceased husband, Abu Bakar Ash-Shiddiq r.a., she came out and enquired the Muhajirin/Meccan emigrants who were present, "Now, the day is cold and I am fasting. Need I to take Ghusul?" They replied, "No!". (narrated by Malik).
(iv) Ihram bathing. Multitude Ulama say, it is Sunnah for a person who wants to perform the Hajj or the 'Umrah to bathe before wearing Ihram cloths which is based on the Hadith from Zaid bin Thabit r.a. and narrated by Daruqut*ni, Baihaqi, and Tirmidzi).
(v) Ghusul when wanting to enter Mecca city which is based on the Hadith from Ibnu Umar r.a. (narrated by Bukhari and Muslim). (b) Ibnul Mundzir said, "According to all Ulama, Ghusul before entring Mecca is Sunnah and if failed to do so, there is no redemption". But most of the Ulama said, "As a redemption, one needs to take wudhuu."
(vi) Ghusul while Wukuf in Arafah: It is Sunnah to Ghusul for those who perform Wukuf when in Arafah. This is based on the report by Malik from Nafii: "That Abdullah ibnu Umar r.a. bathed when he wanted to perform Ihram, when he wanted to enter Mecca and when he wanted to Wukuf in Arafah, that is in the evening".
(D) Some matters about Ghusul to be settled: (to be continued).

(24) (to be continued).
                               oooo000oooo
Let us continue to look into Basic Islamic Rules:
(2) Solat: Ghusul/major ablution:
Before we proceed further, let us look into the Sunnatul-Ghusul/ Sunnah/ precept bathing:
(i) Friday Ghusul/bathing: Friday is a day when Muslims in a community meet to perform "'Ibadah"/piety rites and to perform Solat/Friday prayers. Thus, Syaraa/Islamic Law rules that Ghusul/ bathing is obligated on Muslims to be in a state of cleanliness. A Hadith from Abu Said r.a. reported: "The Prophet s.a.w. said, " Friday Ghusul/bathing is Wajib/obligatory to all who have had wet dream (attained "Mukallaf"/of age in Islam), (they must) brush their teeth and that they put on perfume according to one's ability. (Then go to the mosque)." (narrated by Bukhari and Muslim).
There another 3 Hadith concerning Friday Ghusul/bathing.

(23) (to be continued).
                             oooo000oooo
Let us now continue to look into the Basic Islamic Rules:
(2) Solat: Ghusul/major ablution:
(iii) Ghusul/major ablution for the females:
Ghusul for the females is the same as that of a male, as was discussed in the previous session, except that the females need not undo their braided/woven hair so long as the water wet the roots of their hair.
The Hadith from Ummu Salamah r.a. said, "A woman asked the Prophet s.a.w., "My braided hair is very tight and firm, need I to undo it if I wanted to take major ablution?" The Prophet s.a.w. said, "It will be suffice when you pour water on your head 3 times, then you wash your whole body. Thus, you are cleansed." (narrated by Ahmad, Muslim and Tirmidzi). (b) Hadith from Ubei ibn Umeir r.a., "Aisyah r.a. received news that Abdullah bin Umar had asked his women to undo their braided hair when Ghusul. She r.a. said, "It is strange that Ibnu Umar asked his women to undo their hair when Ghusul! Why did he not ask them to cut off their hair? When I was taking a bath/major ablution together with the Prophet s.a.w. from one water container and what I did was nothing more than pouring 3 buckets of water onto my head." (narrated by Ahmad and Muslim). (c) Hadith from Aisyah r.a., said, " Asma binti Yazid asked the Prophet s.a.w. about bathing/ Ghusul of woman after menses. The Prophet s.a.w. said, "She should perform wudhuu properly with water with "Sidrin"/lotus jujubes leaves (can woman nowadays not use the scented soap?) Then she must pour water onto her head then rub her haead (with her fingers) so that the roots of the hair are wet. Then pour water again onto the head, rub the head (do it 3 times), then pour water to the body/bathe it.Then, she should take a piece of cotton and put some perfume on it and clean with it". Asma then asked, "How do I clean with it?". The Prophet s.a.w., said, "Subhanalloh/Glory be to Allah! Cleanse "it" with it." Aisyah r.a. said whisperingly, " Rub the cotton with perfume to the blood stain (at the private part)".
Then the Prophet s.a.w. was asked about bathing/ghusul of Janabah woman. The Prophet s.a.w. said, Take wudhuu properly first then pour water onto the head and rub the head so that the roots of the hair are wet, then pour water onto the body. (It is the same as that of the Ghusul by the male folks). (narrated by Jamaah except Tirmidzi).
(iv) Some matters about Ghusul to be explained and to be settled. (to be continued)
Until we meet again, see you all Quran Lovers later.

(2) Solat: Ghusul/major ablution:
The Arkan/guiding rules of Ghusul/Bathing:
(ii) The Sunnah/precept of the Prophet s.a.w. in Ghusul:
(Note: The Quran sets all rules in synopsis and it was His Messenger, the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. who clarified and showed them in details).
(a) Begin with washing both hands 3 times.
(b) Then wash the private parts.
(c) Then take Wudhuu/minor ablution as discussed in the previous sessions. The final wash is the feet which may be done at the end of the bath.
(d) Then pour water onto the head 3 times (this is done if a scoop or a dipper is used. But nowadays, water shower is mostly used). While water falls on the head, comb the hair thoroughly so that the hair and the skull are thoroughly washed.
(e) Then run the water/wash the whole body beginning with the right side, then the left. Both arm-pits, the inside of both ears, the navel, in between the fingers and the in between the toes must be washed.
(These are in accordance with the 2 Hadith from Aisyah r.a. as narrated by Bukhari and Muslim, and from Maimunah r.a. as narrate by the Jamaah/Group).
(Note: If taking Ghusul in a bath tub, or in a river or the like, (i) Niat/resolve the intention, then (ii) submerge into the water  and make sure that the whole body is washed.).
(iii). Ghusul/major ablution of the females. (to be continued).

ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue recite surah 89 Al-Fajrr. Please refer to the text.
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم

(15) (to be continued).
                                   oooo000oooo
Let us look into the Islamic Basic Rules:
(2) Solat: GHusul/major ablution:
The "Arka~m"/guiding rules of Ghusul/major ablution:
Ghusul/Bathing is not achieved unless these 2 conditions (which are Wajib/obligatory to be performed) are met:
(i) "Niat"/to resolve an intention to perform the Ghusul, because, "Niat"/the intent differentiates an "'Ibadah"/piety rites and custom.
Niat/intent is in the heart/mind and nothing else. It has been a custom to most people to utter their Niat/intent by words of mouth, this is a practise sham by people and it is not of a Syari'ah, which must be discard.
(ii) To wash the whole body, as Allah says in s. 5 Al-Maidah v. 6.
And in s.2 Al-Baqoroh v.222, Allah says, " They asked you about menstruation. Say: It is a defilement, so keep away from women (from having sexual intercourse with them) during their menstral periods and do not be in close (copulation with) them until they are cleansed".
(b) The Sunnah/percept of the Prophet s.a.w. in Ghusul:
(i) (to be continued).
Until the next session, see you all Quran Lovers later.
