Recitation No. 417

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
My Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us look into the Tabut first.  It is also called the Ark of Covenant. It is a wooden box (like that of a chest) with a feature of that of a human head and is with golden lining, is about 3 feet x 3 ft. x 5 ft. The Tabut was first descended to our forefather, Prophet Adam a.s., then was given to his a.s. son, Syith a.s., and later on was given to Prophet Abraham a.s., then to Prophet Ismail a.s., then to Prophet Jacob a.s., then to Prophet Moses a.s. who kept the Holy Torah in it. After the demise of Prophet Moses a.s., the Ark was kept by one of the Israelite until Prophet Samuel's a.s. era. The Ark/Tabut contains things such as pieces of Moses' staff, pieces of the tablets with Torah inscriptions which contained Knowledge and Commandment of Yehweh left by the family of Prophet Moses a.s. and the family of Prophet Aaron a.s.
Let us now continue to recite verse 248. Please  refer to the Text :
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
إِنَّ فِى ذَالِكَ لأَيَةً لَّكُمْ  إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
(248)
=  "In~na Fi~ Dza~li-ka La A~ya-tal-La Kum Ink~Kunt~Tum~Muu-mi-ni~~~n".
"In~na" (a Syaddah Nun is a Wajibul-Ghunnah, to be pronounced with a humming sound of the nasal to 2 harakah) = Truly,  "Fi~" (a Mad Ashli) = in,  "Dza~li-ka" (a Mad Ashli) = this,  "La" = surely is,  "A~ya-tan" (the "Hamzah" is in between the "Lam" and the "Alif", is a Mad Ashli, " A~". After the Tanwin "Ta Marbutah" is a "Lam", is an Idghom Bi La~ Ghunnah/Assimilating the Tanwin Ta Marbitah into the Lam without a humming sound, "-tal-") = sign,  "La" = to,  "Kum" (after the silent Mim is an "Alif", is an Izhhar Syafawi/pronounced distinctively and clearly the silent Mim) = you
"In" (after the silent Nun is a "Kaf", is an Ikhfaa Haqiqi/ hiding the silent Nun under the "Kaf" with a humming sound of the nasal, 2 harakah, "Ink~") = if,  "Kun" (after the silent Nun is a "Ta", an Ikhfaa Haqiqi, same as above, "Kunt~") = to be,  "Muu-mi-ni~na" (we stop at this Mad Asli, becomes a Mad 'Aridh Lis-Sukun, to 2 or 4 or 6 harakah, "-ni~~~n".   (238) = the end of the verse and the numbers are its number sign.
=  " Truly, It is a Sign to all of you if you were truly of those who Believe".     =     (After hearing the Prophet Samuel's words, the Israelites believed in the prophetic of Samuel a.s. and they also acknowledged Tolut/Saul as their King and they professed their loyalty to the New King, Tolut / Saul).
Until we meet again in the next session, Insya Allah, see You all Quran Lovers soon.
Wassalamu alaikum w. w.,
Abdul Hamid Mohd Yusof Ali.
