Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh (synopsis of Islam). Please refer to the text:
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
(146) اُلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَهُمُ اُلْكِتَبَ يَعْرِفُونَهُو كَمَا يَعْرِفُونَ أَبْنَآءَهُمْ صلى وَإِنَّ فَرِيقًا مِّنْهُمْ لَيَكْتُمُونَ اُلْحَقَّ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ
اُلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَهُمُ اُلْكِتَبَ يَعْرِفُونَهُو كَمَا يَعْرِفُونَ أَبْنَآءَهُمْ = "Al-La-dzi~na A~tai Na~ Hu-mul-Ki-ta~ba Yaa-ri-fu~na Hu~ Ka-ma~ Yaa-ri-fu~na Abb-na~~a Hum".  "Al-La-dzi~na" = They who, "A~tai" = be brought, given, "al-Ki-ta~ba" = the Scripture, "Yaa-ri-fu~na" = they recognize, know, "Hu~" = him, "Ka-ma~" = just as, "Yaa-ri-fu~na" = they know, "Abb-na~~a" = children, "Hum" = their.

صلى = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
وَإِنَّ فَرِيقًا مِّنْهُمْ لَيَكْتُمُونَ اُلْحَقَّ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ = "Wa In~na Fa-ri~qom~Min Hum La Yak-tu-mu~nal-Haq-qo Wa Hum Yaa-la-mu~~n".  "Wa" = And, "In~na" = really, "Fa-ri~qon" = a fraction, some, "Min" = from, of, "Hum" = them, "La" = surely, "Yak-tu-mu~na" = they hide, "al-Haq-qo" = the Truth, "Wa Hum" = and they, "Yaa-la-mu~na" = know.
"Wa In~na Fa-ri~qom~Min Hum La Yak-tu-mu~nal-Haq-qo Wa Hum Yaa-la-mu~~n".  = And really, a fraction, some of them has surely hidden the Truth (about Muhammad) and they know it.
Al-Haq-qu Mir-Rob-bi Ka",  "Al-Haq-qu" = The Truth, "Min" = from, "Rob-bi" = Lord, "Ka" = your,
صلى = a Waqof Maa Kaun Al-Wasol Awla = pause is permitted but conjuction is preferred.
Fa La~ Ta-ku~nan~na Mi-nal-Mum-ta-ri~~n".  "Fa" = then, "La~" = do not, "Ta-ku~nan~na" = you be, "Mi-na" = of, "Mum-ta-ri~na" = those who doubt.

(Allah inform us that the Jews then recognized and knew who Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. was through their Scripture that informed them all about the characteristic of him s.a.w. But most of the scholars and the priests concealed it from their people.
Umar ibnu Al-Khottab r.a. had asked a Jew named Abdullah bin Salam and his friends, "Allah has revealed a verse (146), how could you People of Scripture know Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. just as you know your own children?". Abdullah bin Salam replied, "Umar, I recognized Muhammad when I set eyes on him just as I recognize my children". Umar r.a. asked, "How?". Abdullah replied, "I bear witness that Muhammad is truly a Messenger of Allah who had narrated his characteristics in our Scripture. My own children? I only believe in my wife, it is uncertain what woman did (behind my back)". Umar r.a. said, "Abdullah! You are right. May Allah grand you with good fortune".
In verse 147, Allah ask those who have received the Truth not to be doubtful but to believe it wholeheartedly.).

(When the Prophet s.a.w. and the Muslimin turned their faces in Solat from Jerusalem to Masjul Harom in Mecca, the Jews and the Christians demanded proofs from the Prophet s.a.w. that the decree of the changing of Qiblat is truly from Allah. So, Allah revealed this here verse. Though the Jews and the Christians were given proof and explanation, they will never turn to Caaba in their prayers. Thus, Muslimin must not accept and follow the People of the Scriptures' Qiblat. The People of the Scripture themselves differ in their Qiblat. The Jews were/are facing towards Jerusalem while the Christians face towards sunrise.
If the Muslimin after being told and explained by Allah about their Qiblat is the Caaba at the Masjidul Harom in Mecca, and they still follow the desire of the People of the Scripture, than they/these Muslimin are the evil-doers.).

Then the majority of the inhabitants there were the Jews. And Allah decreed that the Qiblat was towards Jerusalem. At first the Jews were pleased. But the Prohet's s.a.w heart and soul prefered facing the Qiblat of Prophet Abraham a.s. The Prophet s.a.w. and  his s.a.w. Companions r.a. were facing Jerusalem for 16 or 17 months, during which times, the Jews were mocking the Prophet s.a.w. saying, "Muhammad brought a religion different from ours, yet his Qiblat, he follows ours".  Thus, the Prophet s.a.w. entreated to Allah to have the Qiblat changed to the Masjidul Harom. After several months, this revelation came to the Prophet s.a.w. to change the Qiblat. And wherever we Muslimin be, we must face the Masjidul Harom in Solat.).

Recitation 294.1.

Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to look into the explanation of verse 142 of Surah Al-Baqoroh:
(Prophet Noah a.s. will be called on the Judgment Day and will be asked whether or not he had delivered the Risalah/mission to his Ummat/people. He a.s. say, "Yes". But his a.s. people will deny him. So Prophet Noah a.s. will call our Prophet s.a.w. and we the Muslimin to be his a.s. witnesses, because we know what had happened during his a.s. time, as Allah tells us in the Quran.
The Prophet s.a.w. then said, "That is what Allah meant by, " Thus We have made you/Muslimin  a moderate but just people and have chosen you (pl.).". He s.a.w. said, "Al-Wasat" means 'Adil/honest, just, fair. Thus you will be called out to give evidence of Noah a.s. on his a.s. mission. Then I shall give evidence of you". (narrated by Imam Ahmad, Bukhori, Tirmidzi, An-Nasa-i and Ibnu Majah).
At first, Allah commanded the Prophet s.a.w. to face Baitul Maqdis/Jerusalem in Solat, then He s.w.t. decreed him s.a.w. to turn to Caaba. so as to know who follow him s.a.w. and who deviate/apotatize. Truly, changing of the Qiblat was a very hard thing to do except for those who were being given guidance by Allah in believing in the Prophet s.a.w. That also shows thatAllah can do whatever thing He wish. He s.w.t. has the right to impose burden to His bondservants as He s.w.t. see fit, and to do away with the burden off them. There is a "Hikmah"/wisdom in and there is a reason in all that He s.w.t. do.
All Solat performed facing Jerusalem would not be regarded by Allah as useless and the rewards will be the same as facing towards the Caaba. From Al-Baraa who reported, "There were people/Muslimin who had passed away during their solat were still facing Jerusalem. Some of the Companions had asked about it, so, Allah revealed this verse, "And Allah will not regard your Iman/ Faith as useless".
"Truly, Allah is Most Compassinate, Most Merciful to mankind". In an authentic Hadith, it was reported that once, the Prophet s.a.w. had watched a captive woman being separated from her baby. Each time the woman got another captive baby, she would pick it up and embraced it to her bosom, and went round in searching  for her own baby. And when she found her own baby, she embraced it and then suckled it. The Prophet s.a.w. said, "What do you all think, would this woman had the heart to throw her baby into the fire while she is able not to do so?". The Companions replied, "No, O Messenger of Allah". The Prophet s.a.w. then said, "By Allah! Allah is more Compassinate to His bondservants than this woman towards her baby").

Abu Sa-id reported that the Prophet s.a.w. said, "On the Judgment Day, Prophet Noah a.s. will be called. Then he a.s. will be asked, "Have you delivered the Risalah/mission?" Noah a.s. replied, "Yes, I had". Then his a.s. people will be called and asked, "Did Noah delivered the Risalah to all of you?" The people will answer, "No. There was no reminder nor warning and there was no one who came to us". Then Prophet Noah a.s. will be called again and be asked, "Who can vouch for you and be your witness to what you have said?".  Noah a.s. will reply, "Muhammad and his people."
Then the Prophet s.a.w. continued to say: (to be continued).

Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh (synopsis of Islam). Please refer to the text:
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
O = an Eight Angles Star = a beginning of a section.
سَيَقُولُ اُلسُّفَهَآءُ مِنَ اُلنَّاسِ = "Sa Ya-qu~lus-Su-fa-ha~~u Mi-nan~Na~si",  "Sa" = Shall, will, "Yu-qu~lu" = they say, "as-Su-fa-ha~~u" = the foolish, "Mi-na" = from, of, "An~na~si" = the people,
"Ma~" = what, "Wal-la~" = to turn, "Hum" = them, " 'An" = from, "Qibb-la-ti" = direction faced in Solat, "Him" = their, "al-La-ti~" = which, "Ka~nu~" = to be, " 'A-lai" = on, "Ha~" = it.
"Sa Ya-qu~lus-Su-fa-ha~~u Mi-nan~Na~si Ma~ Wal-La~ Hum 'Anq~Qibb-la-ti Hi-mul-La-ti~ Ka~nu~ 'A-lai Ha~".  = The foolish of the people will say, "What makes them/the Muslimin turn from their Qiblat/direction faced in solat (the Jerusalem) which they formerly used?"
 ج = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
Qul Lil-Lahil-Masy-ri-qu Wal-Magh-ribb".  "Qul" = Say, "Li" = to, "Al-Lahi" = Allah, "al-Masy-ri-qu" = the East, "Wa" = and, "al-Magh-ri-bu" = the West.
"Qul Lil-Lahil-Masy-ri-qu Wal-Magh-ribb".  = Say! "To Allah belong the East and the West.
ج = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
"Yah-di~" = He guide, "Man" = whom, "Ya-sya~~u" = He wish, "I-la~" = to, "SHi-ro~tin" = path, "Mus-ta-qi~min" = straight.
"Yah-di~ Mai~Ya-sya~~u I-la~ SHi-ro~tim~Mus-ta-qi~~m".  = He/Allah guide whom He wish to a straight path.
(When the Prophet s.a.w. migrated to Medina, he s.a.w. was commanded to face towards Jerusalem when performing Solat. But his heart and soul loved to face towards Caaba in Mecca, his s.a.w. first Qiblat when he s.a.w. was in Mecca and which was also the Qiblat of Prophet Abraham a.s.. Allah wanted the Jews to see that the Muslimin were also facing Jerusalem in Solat, sharing the same Qiblat/direction when in Solat. Instead of being happy that the Muslimin shared the same Qiblat, they/the Jews except a few mocked the Muslimin for not having their own Qiblat and they had to share Qiblat with them/the Jews. The Prophet had always entreated that Allah would change the Qiblat for him s.a.w. from Jerusalem to Caaba in Mecca. He s.a.w. had always looked up to the heaven waiting and hoping that Archangel Gabriel a.s. would come bringing the good news, to change the Qiblat. After sixteen or seventeen months the Prophet s.a.w. had waited and had faced towards Jerusalem as the Qiblat, one afternoon, while performing Solat 'Ashor at a mosque, now is called "Al-Qiblatain"/two Qiblat mosque which was/is situated at Khalid ibnu Walid street, in 'Aqiq Valley, the revelation came asking him s.a.w. to change Qiblat. The Prophet s.a.w. turned from facing toward Jerusalem, walked away to the other side of the mosque to face Mecca. And his s.a.w. followers r.a. followed him s.a.w.
When the non-Muislimin saw that the Prophet s.a.w. and his s.a.w. followers r.a. had changed Qiblat, from formerly facing Jerusalem to Mecca, some misunderstood non-Muslimin asked, "What make them turn away from Jerusalem?" Allah answered that, the East and the West belong to Him. He/Allah do whatever He please. And He/Allah guide whom He s.w.t. wish.).

Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh (synopsis of Islam). Please refer to the text.
أَمْ تَقُولُونَ إِنَّ إِبْرَهِيمَ وَإِسْمَعِيلَ وَإِسْحَقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَاُلَأِسْبَطَ كَانُواْ هُودًا أَوْ نَصَرَى = "Am Ta-qu~lu~na In~na Ibb-ro~hi~ma Wa Is-ma~'i~la Wa Is-ha~qo Wa Yaa-qu~ba Wal-As-ba~to Hu~dan Aw Na-sho~ro~".  "Am" = Or, "Ta-qu~lu~na" = you (pl.) say, "An~na" = that, "Ibb-ro~hi~ma" = Abraham, "Wa Is-ma~'i~la" = and Ishmael, "Wa Is-ha~qo" = and Isaac, "Wa Yaa-qu~ba" = and Jacob, Wa al-As-ba~to" = the tribes/grandsons, "Ka~nu" = were, "Hu~dan" = Jews, "Aw" = or, "Na-sho~ro~" = Christians.
"Am Ta-qu~lu-na In~na Ibb-ro~hi~ma Wa Is-ma~'i~la Wa Is-ha~qo Wa Yaa-qu~ba Wal-As-ba~to Ka~nu~ Hu~dan Aw Na-sho~ro~".  = Or do you (pl.) say that Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and the tribes were Jews or Christians?
قلى = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
Qul A Ant~tum Aa-la-mu A-mil-Lah".  "Qul" = Say, "A" = are, "Ant~tum" = you (pl.), "Aa-la-mu" = know better, "A-mi" = or, "Al-Lahu" = Allah.

وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّن كَتَمَ شَهَدَةً عِندَهُو مِنَ اُللهِ  = "Wa Man Azh-la-mu Mim~mank~Ka-ta-ma SYa-ha~da-tan 'Ind~da Hu~ Mi-nal-Loh".  "Wa" = And, "Man" = who, "Azh-la-mu" = more wicked, "Mim~man" = than, "Ka-ta-ma" = to hide, "SYa-ha~da-tan" = a testimony, " 'Ind~da" = with, "Hu~" = him, "Mi-na" = from, "Al-Lohu" = Allah.
"Wa Man Azh-la-mu Mim~mank~Ka-ta-ma SYa-ha~da-tan 'Ind~da Hu~ Mi-nal-Loh".  = And who is more wicked than those who hide a testimony which he received from Allah?
قلى = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
وَمَا اُللهُ بِغَفِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ = "Wa Mal-Lohu Bi GHo~fi-lin  'Am~ma~ Taa-ma-lu~~n".  "Wa" = And, "Ma~" = not, "Al-Lohu" = Allah, "Bi" = is, "GHo~fi-lin" = unaware, " 'Am~ma~" = of what, "Taa-ma-lu~na" = you (pl.) do.
"Wa Mal-Lohu Bi Gho~fi-lin 'Am~ma~ Taa-ma-lu~~n".  = But Allah is not unaware of what you do.
(Allah repudiates their/the Jews' and the Christians' admissions that Prophets Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and the grandsons embraced Jewish or Christian Faiths. Allah says, "Do you, Jews and Christians know better than Allah?" It was Allah who bestowed the Prophets their Prophetics and be His/Allah's Messengers, while the Jews and the Christians then were not existed. And they were more wicked when they hid the truth which they read a testimony in their Scriptures revealed by Allah/Yahweh. Allah/Yahweh is not unaware of what they do.).
Til-ka Um~ma-tunq~Qodd KHo-lat".  "Til-ka" = That, "Um~ma-tun" = people, "Qodd" = already, "KHo-lat" = passed away.
"Til-ka Um~ma-tunq~Qodd KHo-lat".  = Those were the people who had passed away.

صلى = a waqof Jaiz sign.
وَلَا تُسْئَلُونَ عَمَّا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَ = "Wa La~ Tus-a-lu~na 'Am~ma~ Ka~nu~ Yaa-ma-lu~~n".  "Wa" = And, "La~" = not, "Tus-a-lu~na" = you (pl.) be accountable, " 'Am~ma~" = of what, "Ka~nu~" = to be, "Yaa-ma-lu~na" = they did.
"Wa La~ Tus-a-lu~na 'Am~ma~ Ka~nu~ Yaa-ma-lu~~n".  = And you will not be accountable for what they had done.
(The Jews and the Christians should not have mentioned about the people of the past, that is, Prophets Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes, they had gained what they strived for. and the Jews and the Christians will earn the same. And they will not be accountable for what others did, but will be accountable for they had done.).

Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh (synopsis of Islam). Please refer to the text:
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
(138) صِبْغَةَ اُللهِ صلى وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ مِنَ اُللهِ صِبْغَةً صلى وَنَحْنُ لَهُو عَبِدُونَ
صِبْغَةَ اُللهِ = SHibb-gho-tal-Loh".  "SHibb-gho-ta" = Dye, colour, religion, "Al-Lohi" = Allah.

صلى = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
Wa Man Ah-sa-nu Mi-nal-Lohi SHibb-ghoh".  "Wa" = And, "Man" = whose, "Ah-sa-nu" = is better, "Mi-na" = than, "Al-Lohi" = Allah, "SHibb-gho-tan". = religion.
"Wa Man Ah-sa-nu Mi-nal-Lohi SHibb-ghoh".  = And whose is the better religion than the religion of Allah?

صلى = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
Wa Nah-nu La Hu~ 'A~bi-du~~n".  "Wa Nah-nu" = And we, "La Hu~" = of Him, " 'A~bi-du~na". = we worship.
"Wa Nah-nu La Hu~ 'A~bi-du~~n".  = And only of Him/Allah we worship.
(Ibnu 'Abbas defined the word "SHibb-gho-tu" as religion. Some interpreters defined it as dipping into a liquid/baptism. But we will say it is "religion". What better religion than the religion of Allah? And we do worship only of Allah and of no one and nothing else.).

وَلَنَآ أَعْمَلُنَا وَلَكُمْ أَعْمَلُكُمْ = "Wa La Na~~ Aa-ma~li Na~ Wa La Kum Aa-ma~lu Kum",  "Wa" = and, "La" = for, "Na~" = us, "Aa-ma~lu" = deeds, "Na~" = our, "Wa" = and, "La" = for, "Kum" = you (pl.), "Aa-ma~lu" = deeds, "Kum" = your (pl.),
Wa Nah-nu La Hu~ Mukh-li-shu~~n". "Wa" = and, "Nah-nu" = we, "La" = to, "Hu~" = Him, "Mukh-li-shu~na" = are sincere.
"Qul A Tu-ha~~~j-ju~na Na~ Fil-Lahi Wa Hu-wa Rob-bu Na~ Wa Rob-bu Kum Wa La Na~~ Aa-ma~lu Na~ Wa La Kum Aa-ma~lu Kum Wa Nah-nu La Hu~ Mukh-li-shu~~n".  = "Say! "Would you dispute with us about Allah while He is Our Lord and your Lord too? And we are (responsible) for our deeds, and you for your deeds. And to Him, we are sincere.
(Allah is teaching the Prophet s.a.w. and the Believers on how to avert argument/dispute with the Polytheists by saying that would they dispute about the Oneness of Allah, about our sincerity in our religious rites and in our submission to and in our obedience to Him and His commandments? It is He/Allah who regulates us, including your good selves. It is only of Him we worship. It is He and He alone is to be worshipped and nothing else. Who we worship has nothing to do with you and vice versa. And we are sincere in our deeds and in our worship of Him).
