Recitation No. 400

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
My Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh verse 240. Please refer to the Text:
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
وَالَّذِينَ يُتَوَفَّوْنَ مِنكُمْ وَيَذَرُونَ أَزْوَاجًا وَصِيَّةً لِّأَزْوَاجِهِم مَّتَعًا إِلَى الْحَوْلِ غَيْرَ إِخْرَاجٍ ج
= Wal-La-dzi~na Yu-ta-waf-faw-na Mink~Kum Wa Ya-dza-ru~na Az-wa~jaw~Wa-shiy-ya-tal-Li Az-wa~ji Him~Ma-ta~'an I-lal-Haw-li Ghoi-ro Ikh-ro~~~j."
"Wa"(after it is an Alif Lam Syamsiah / Sun Definite Article, the Waw is assimilated to the second Lam, "-Wal-") = and
"(Al)-La-dzi~na" (a Mad Ashli, 2 harakah) = those who
"Yu-ta-waf-faw-na" (a Mad Lin / soft, half emphatic) = they die
"Min" (after the silent Nun is a "Kaf", is an Ikhfaa Haqiqi / hiding the silent Nun under the "Kaf", "-Mink~") = of
"Kum" (after the silent Mim is a Waw, is an Izh-har Syafawi / Oral expressing clearly the Mim) = you (pl.)
"Wa" = and,  "Ya-dza-ru~na" = they leave behind
"Az-wa~jan" (a Mad Ashli, 2 harakah. And after the Tanwin Jim is a "Waw" is an Id-ghom Ma'al-Ghunnah / Assimilating the Tanwin Jim into Waw with a humming sound of the nasal to 2 harakah, "-jaw~") = wives
"Wa-shiy-ya-tan" (after the Tanwin Ta Marbutah is a Lam is an Id-ghom Bi La~ Ghunnah / Assimilating the Tanwin Ta Marbutah into Lam without a humming sound of the nasal. "-tal-") = will, bequest,    "Li" = for, to
"Az-wa~ji" (a Mad Ashli, 2 harakah) = wives
"Him" (after the silent Mim is another Mim is an Id-ghom Syafawi / Oral assimilating the silent Mim into the other Mim with a humming sound of the nasal to 2 harakah, "Him~") = their
"Ma-ta~'an" (a Mad Ashli, 2 harakah. After the Tanwin 'Ain is a standing Hamzah, is an Izh-har Halqi / Expressing clearly the Tanwin, "-'an") = enjoyment
"I-la~" (after it, is an Alif Lam Qomariyah / Moon Definite Article, the silent Lam is pronounced, "-lal-") = up to
"Al-Haw-li" (a Mad Lin, same as above) = 12 months / a year
"Ghoi-ro" (a Mad Lin, same as above) = not
"Ikh-ro~jin" (we are pausing on this Mad Ashli, it becomes a Mad 'Aridh Lis-Sukun / Transitory to cease, to 2 or 4 or 6 Harakah, "-ro~~~j." The letter Jim when paused is a Qoqoloh Kub-ro, with a forceful sound, "je") = to go out
 ج  = a Waqof Jaiz sign denotes pause is permitted.
=  "And those who are (about to) die, and are leaving behind wives are (required) to bequest (their property) to their wives as an enjoyment (to them) up to Twelve months without (making them) leave (the house)."      =   (We are required by Allah to bequest a will before our demise, if we were married. And to our wives we are to give them money for her "enjoyment"/expenses for a year/ 12 months. They cannot be asked to leave our house by our legal heirs after our demise." (to be continued).
