Recitation 57

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم
ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Dear Quran Lovers,
I was to attend the Aman Palestin seminar yesterday. But failed to do so due to some unforseen circumstances. After Subuh prayers, I felt so down and so very sleepy. I could not leave home.
Last week's Quran recitation competation was excellent. There were 2 things which touched my heart the most. (1) Each time after the contestant recited a beautiful recitation, there followed by a low murmuring of, "Alla~h!" And not clapping of hands. The sound made this heart felt appease and pacify. By clapping hands showed of disrespect to the Quran. (2) There were some contestants, before and after reciting the verses, gave salam to the audience. That should not had happened. They should show respect to the Quran before them than the audience.
Let us continue recite surah 36, Yasi~n. Please refer to the text:
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
(45) وَإِذَاقِيلَ لَهُمُ اُتَّقُواْمَابَيْنَ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَمَا خَلْفَكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ
وَإِذَاقِيلَ = "Wa I-dza~ Qi~la", "Wa" = And, "I-dza~" = when, "Qi~la" = was said
لَهُمُ اُتَّقُواْ = "La Hu-mut-Ta-qu~", "La" = to, "Hu-mu" = them, "it-Ta-qu~" = fear

لَعَلَّكُمْ = "La-'al-la Kum", "La-'al-la" = perhaps, "Kum" = you all
تُرْحَمُونَ = "Turr-h*a-mu~~n". "Turr-h*a-mu~na" = at the Mercy.
(Note: The Makhraj of the letter ر , is from the tip of the tongue placed to the upper gum. It is NOT an Istiilaa/middle of the tongue raised. We cannot follow the non English people when pronouncing the letter R by lifting their middle tongue. If it is a Ro Tafkhim, the tip of the tongue is lifted, but if it is a Ro Tarqiq, the tip of the tongue remains, not lifted up).
"Wa I-dza~ Qi~la La Hu-mut-Ta-qu~ Ma~ Bai-na Ai-di~ Kum Wa Ma~ KHol-fa Kum  La-'al-la Kum Turr-h*a-mu~~n" = And when it was said to them (the disbelievers), "Fear what had happened before you (the misfortune befell on the people before you) and what will happen after you (the punishment set aside for you in the Hereafter) so that you may be at the Mercy (of Allah)". (But they would turn their faces away, giving no heed to the warning).
Wa Ma~ Taa-ti~ Him~Min",  "Wa" = And, "Ma~" = not, "Taa-ti~" = came, "Him" = them
أَيَةٍ مِنْ = "A~ya-tim~Min", "A~ya-tin" = a sign, "Min" = from
ءَايَتِ = "A~ya~ti" = many signs
رَبِّهِمْ = "Rob-bi Him", "Rob-bi" = Lord, "Him" = their
إِلَّا = "Il-la~" = except
كَانُواْ = "Ka~nu~" = they become
عَنْهَا = " 'An Ha~", " 'An" = from, "Ha~" = it
مُعْرِضِينَ = "Muu-ri-dhi~~n".  "Muu-ri-dhi~na" = they turn away.
"Wa Ma~ Taa-ti~ Him~Min A~ya-tim~Min A~ya~ti Rob-bi Him Il-la~ Ka~nu~ 'An Ha~ Muu-ri-dhi~~n" = Because there was never a sign of many signs from their Lord (Allah) which they did not turn away from it.
(to be co tinued).
Until we meet again. See you all Quran Lovers soon.
