Recitation No. 468

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
My Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us cotinue to recite verse No. 284. Please refer to the Text :
= "Lil-Lahi Ma~ Fis-Sa-ma~wa~ti Wa Ma~ Fil-Ardh.  (Qly).  Wa Int~Tub-du~ Ma~ Fi~~ Anf~fu-si Kum Aw Tukh-fu~ Hu Yu-ha~sib Kum~Bi Hil-La~~~h.  (Shly).  Fa Yagh-fi-ru Li Mai~Ya-sya~~u Wa Yu-'adz-dzi-bu Mai~Ya-sya~~'.  (Qly).   Wal-Lohu 'A-la~ Kul-li Syai-inq~Qo-di~~~r." (284)
= "Li" = to,  "(A)l-Lahi" = The God,  "Ma~" = what,  "Fi~" = in,  "(A)s-Sa-ma~wa~ti" = the Heavens,  "Wa" = and,  "Ma~" = what,  "Fi~" = in,  "(A)l-Ar-dhi"(when paused, "(A)l-Ardh") = the Earth.  (Qly) = a pause sign.   "Wa" = and,  "In" = if,  "Tub-du~" = (you) reveal,  "Ma~" = what,  "Fi~" = in,  "Anf~fu-si" = soul, self,   "Kum" = your (pl.),   "Aw" = or,  "Tukh-fu~" = (you) hide, conceal,  "Hu" = it,  "Yu-ha~sib" = (he) to call to account,  "Kum" = you (pl.),   "Bi" = for,  "Hi" = it,  "(A)l-Lahu" (When pasused, "(A)l-La~~~h". [The reason why the word Alloh or Allah is not written with a Mad Ashli, is because, so that we do not pronounce them as, "Allo~ Hu, or Alla~ Hu" which does not mean The God, but Alla means = is not or why, and Hu and Ha means = his and her. When we recite "Allo Hu or Alla Hu, is a very grave SIN. I have heard a "Holy" man pronounced the word Allah in his song as, "Alloh ! Oh ! Oh ! Oh!", and a "Qori/recitator recited "Ar-Rohman, man ! man ! man !Were they not making fun of the Lafdzul-Jalalah? I beg Allah's forgiveness.]. (Shly) = a pause sign.   "Fa" = then,  "Yagh-fi-ru" = (he) forgives,  "Li" = to,   Man" = whom,   "Ya-sya~~u" = (he) wishes,   "Wa" = and,  "Yu-'adz-dzi-bu" =(he) punishes,  "Man" = whom,  "Ya-sya~~u" = (he) wishes.  (Qly)  "Wa" = and,   (A)l-Lohu" = The God,   " 'A-la~" = on,   "Kul-li" = all,  "Syai-in" = thing,   "Qo-di~run". (when paused, is "Qo-di~~~r" and the Ro is Tarqiq, the tongue is flat) = powerful.  (284).
= "What are in the Heavens and what are in the Earth (are knowable) to Allah. And if you (pl.) revealed what are in yourselves or you (pl.) concealed it, Allah will call you to account for it. Then He will forgive whom He Wish and He will punish whom He Wish. For Allah is all-Powerful".
= (Allah Know what are in the Heavens and what are in the Earth. And what we reveal or show to the public and what we keep and hide in our hearts, all are knowable to Allah. Whether we showed our deeds to the public or keep them hidden in our own hearts which are not known to others, Allah will call us to be accounted for what we have done. When this verse was revealed, the impact of the burden was most felt by the Companions r.a. of  the Prophet s.a.w. because they felt that they were being burdened with the obligations such as to perform Sholah, Fasting, Jihad/Struggle in Allah Cause, give charity and alms which they could obseve/follow in practice, and now, this verse which is really a burden which they could not observe nor follow in practice. It was because Allah said that He would demand an explanation of all their good or evil thought which had crossed their minds or hearts. They went to the Prophet s.a.w. and appealed to him s.a.w. for sympathy. The Prophet s.a.w. replied, meaning, "Do you want to be like those People of the Book in the past who, whenever a Commandment was given to them, said, "We hear and we disobey". While all of you should reply to Allah's Commandment by saying, "We hear and we obey and we beg Your forgiveness O God, and to You we all will return." The Companions repeated that prayers that the Prophet s.a.w. had recited.
After that, Allah revealed Two more verses as the continuation of this verse No. 284, as follows in verse Nos. 285 and 286.).
Until we meet again in the next session, Insya Allah, see all of You Quran Lovers later.
 Wassalamu alaikum w. w.
 Abdul Hamid Mohd Yusof Ali.
