Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh, synopsis of Islam. Please refer to the text:
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
(229) اُلطَّلَقُ مَرَّتَانِ = "At-Tol-la~qu Mar-ro-ta~~n". =  "At-Tol-la~qu" = The divorce is, "Mar-ro-ta~ni" = twice.
"At-Tol-la~qu Mar-ro-ta~~n". = The (revocable) divorce is twice.
صلى = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
فَإِمْسَاكُم بِمَرُوفٍ أَوْ تَسْرِيحُم بِإِحْسَنٍ = "Fa Im-sa~kum~Bi Maa-ru~fin Aw Tas-ri~hum~ Bi Ih-sa~~n".  = "Fa" = then, "Im-sa~ku" = to retain/reconcile/make up, "Bi" = with, "Maa-ru~fin" = kindness, "Aw" = or, "Tas-ri~hun" = release, "Bi" = with, "Ih-sa~nin" = good deeds.
"Fas Im-sa~kum~Bi Maa-ru~fin Aw Tas-ri~hum~Bi Ih-sa~~n". = Then (after the second divorce was pronounced) they may reconcile/make up in a kind/good way, or may release/divorce with good deeds/nicely.
(In Islam, a man can pronounce, "I divorce you" to his wife twice, or pronouncing a word which has the meaning that he is divorcing the wife and he intends to divorce her, then he and his wife are divorced. They can reconcile/make up only after the first and the second pronouncing of the word "I divorce you", and no more after the second pronouncing the divorce. After the first or the second pronouncing, they may make up in kindness, or they may separated in good faith. When the third pronouncing is made, then, they cannot make up anymore unless and until the divorce'e marries another man, have sex with him, and when that husband divorces her, only then the first husband can marry the woman).
قلى = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
وَلَا يَحِلُّ لَكُمْ أَن تَأْخُذُواْ مِمَّآ ءَاتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ شَيْئًا = "Wa La~ Ya-hil-lu La Kum Ant~Taa-khu-dzu~ Mim~ma~~ A~tai-tu-mu~ Hun~na SYai-an",  = "Wa" = And, "La~" = not, "Ya-hil-lu" = be lawful, "La" = for, "Kum" = you (pl.), "An" = that, "Taa-khu-dzu~" = you take back, "Mi~ma~" = what, "A~tai-tu-mu~" = you have given, "Hun~na" = them (f.), "SYai-an" = anything,
=  "Il-la~" = except, "An" = that, "Ya-kho~fa~" = both are afraid, "Al-la~" = lest, "U-qi~ma~" = both perform, "Hu-du~da" = divine ordinance, "Al-Lohi" = Allah.
"Wa La~ Ya-hil-lu La Kum Ant~Taa-khu-dzu~ Mim~ma~~ A~tai-tu-mu~ Hun~na SYai-an Il-la~~ Ai~Ya-kho~fa~~ Al-la~ Yu-qi~ma~ Hu-du~dal-Lo~h".  = It is not lawful for you (pl.) to take back what/dowry you/men had given them/women (that is, the men ask the women they are divorcing to pay back the dowry given to the women when they first got married), except that both of you are afraid that both of you cannot perform the divine ordinance/ decree of Allah, (that is, the men and the women cannot live together in peace and harmony and live in accordance with the Rules and the Regulations set by Allah as husbands and wives any more).
صلى = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
فَإِن خِفْتُمْ أَلَّا يُقِيمَا حُدُودَ اُللهِ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِمَا فِيمَا اُفْتَدَتْ بِهِى  = "Fa In KHif Tum Al-la~ Yu-qi~ma~ Hu-du~dal-Lohi Fa La~ Ju-na~ha 'A-lai Hi-ma~ Fi~ Maf-ta-dat Bih".  = "Fa" = Then, "In" = if, "KHif" = afraid, "Tum" = you (pl.), Al-la~" = lest, "Yu-qi~ma~" = both perform, "Hu-du~da" = divine ordinance/decree, "Al-Lohi" = Allah, "Fa" = then, "La~" = no, "Ju-na~ha" = sin, " 'A-lai" = upon, "Hi-ma~" = them both, "Fi~" = in, Ma~" = that, "if-ta-dat" = you redeem her, "Bi" = with, "Hi~" = it.
"Fa In KHif Tum Al-la~ Yu-qi~ma~ Hu-du~dal-Lohi Fa La~ Ju-na~ha 'A-lai Hi-ma~ Fi~ Maf-ta-dat Bih". = Then if you (i.e. the Headman or the Judge) are afraid that both of them/the men and the women are unable to perform the divine decree of Allah (they both will not be able to continue to be husbands and wives in peace and harmony and live in accordance with the divine decree of Allah, and the wives have requested to be divorced from their husbands), then they/the men and the women are not sinful if the women pay back the dowry in order to redeem themselves (as a "Khola'a"/to be divorced by the husbands) by it/the dowry.
قلى = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
= "Til-ka" = That, Such is, "Hu-du~du" = divine ordinance/decree of, "Al-Lohi" = Allah, "Fa" = then, "La~" = do not, "Taa-ta-du~" = you (pl.) violate, "Ha~" = it.
"Til-ka Hu-du~dul-Lohi Fa La~ Taa-tsa-du~ Ha~". = Such  is the ordinance/decree of Allah, thus, do not violate it.
ج = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
= "Wa" = And, "Man" = those who, "Ya-ta-'ad-da" = violate, "Hu-du~da" = divine ordinance/decree of, "Al-Lohi" = Allah, "Fa" = then, "U-la~~i-ka" = those are, "Hu-mu" = they are, "azh-ZHo~li-mu~na" = the wrong-doers.
"Wa Mai~Ya-ta-'ad-da Hu-du~dal-Lohi Fa U-la~~i-ka Hu-muzh-ZHo~li-mu~~n".  = Those who so violated the divine ordinance/ decree of Allah are wrong-doers.
(230) (to be continued).
