Recitation 369.2

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم

ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

Dear Quran Lovers,
Tomorrow, 16th September, is our Malaysian Day. Two weeks ago, on the 30th August, I said that on 31st August was our Malayan Independence Day because I was not sure and was confused. Then our Malaysian Information and Culture Minister told us that the 31st August was/is our Malaysians, not only Malayans, Independence Day. Thank you YB for reminding and confirming it for us. (We have our Independence Day song, the "Tanggal 31hb 8, 57", but we have not had our Malaysian Day song yet. Is there not any  one who likes to compose one?).
To Malaysia and all Malaysians we wish all of You a very Happy and Blessed Malaysian Day. May Allah Bless us with Peace, Prosperity and Perpetuity! Amen!
                                       *********
Let us continue to look into the explanation of first phase of verse 222 of surah 2 Al-Baqoroh, synopsis of Islam:
(Because there were so many Ulama who were of the opinion that man can mix/be in the company of his wife during her menses periods except at her front private part, let us look into some of the Hadith:
Abu Daud narrated that 'Imaroh ibnu Ghurob's aunt had said to 'Aisyah r.a. that one of them was having menses. Her husband had no other place to sleep except her only bed. 'Aisyah r.a. replied, "Let me tell you what the Prophet s.a.w. had done. One day, he s.a.w. entered into our house and went straight to the mosque (which was next door to our house). When he s.a.w. returned, I was fast asleep. At that moment he s.a.w. had caught a chill, he s.a.w. said to me, "Come close to me". I replied, "I am having menses". He s.a.w. said, "Open your thighs". And I openned my thighs, then he s.a.w. put his cheek and his chest on my thighs. And I embraced him s.a.w. until his s.a.w. chill had gone, and he s.a.w.then fell asleep".
In another Hadith, narrated by Abu Daud also from 'Aisyah r.a. who said, "When I have menses, I descend from my bed to a mat. Then we do not go near the Prophet s.a.w. until we are clean of menses.".
Other Ulama were/are of the opinion that a man may flirt with his wife during menses periods except the part beneath the cloth, as told in the book, "Shohihain", from Maimunah ibnu Al-Harith Al-Hilaliyah who said, the Prophet s.a.w. when wanted to flirt with one of his s.a.w. wives who was having menses, would ask her to put on a cloth.
A Hadith narrated by Abu Daud from Mu'adz bin Jabal r.a. who said, "I had asked the Prophet s.a.w. about what I could do to my wife who was having menses. The Prophet s.a.w. replied, "You can do anything to her at the upper part of the cloth, but avoid doing it is much better.". This evidence is one of the two opinions used by the Syafieiah, (her part below the cloth is out of bounds).
The verse, "And do not ever approach them before they are clean" means Allah s.w.t. Forbid men to have sexual intercourse/ copulation with their wives during their menses. This means, it is permissible to have copulation when and after they are clean of menses.
Asy-Syafieiah and Hanbaliah disallow men to copulate with their wives who had ceased menses (and also the "Nifas"/post-natal bleeding) before taking "Ghusul"/major ablution.
The Hanafiyah said it is permissible for the men to copulate with their wives when the menses or the post-natal bleeding ceased,
(that is after 10 days of the menses periods for the menses, and after 40 days of the "nifas"/post-natal bleeding) before they take "Ghusul"/major ablution.
The Malikiyah has two difference opinions, one says it is permissible but the other says it is not permissible to copulate before the wives take "Ghusul"/major ablution when the menses or the post-natal bleeding ceased.
(to be continued).
This blog is taking one day off tomorrow to celebrate our Malaysian Day.
Until we meet again in the next session, see you all Quran Lovers soon.
والسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
