Recitation 369.3

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to look into the explanation of verse 222 of surah 2 Al-Baqoroh, synopsis of Islam:
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
(222) This verse, Allah s.w.t. Inform us about Haidh/menses. He s.w.t. Forbid us to have sex while our wives are having menses. We have also seen that when women are having menses, they are forbidden to (i) perform Solat, (ii) Fasting, (iii) perform Towaf, and other than these, they are also forbidden to (iv) touch, to hold and to carry the Mash-haf/copy of the Quran (but not the copy of  Translation or Interpretation of Quran with the Quranic Text which is permissible, so is the Quranic Text in a gadget such as a smart-phone, if the text is not on its screen is permissible. This is based on the Hadith narrated by Bukhori and Muslim, the Prophet s.a.w. had written a letter containing verse 64 of surah 3 Ali-'Imron to Kaiser Heraklius), (v) recite verses of the Quran, from a report by Ali k.w./"Karromal-Lohu Wajhah"= his face was/is glorified by Allah because he k.w. had never worshipped idol, narrated by People of As-Sunnah.
 (A) The Hanafiyah say: People with major defilement are forbidden to recite the verses of the Quran, a few or many verses except for (1) to recite Basmalah/Bismillahir-Rohmanir-Rohi~m is permissible, and when starting to do something, (2) any short verse to bid people or to praise people, such as, "Rob-bigh-fir Li~ Wa Li Wa~lidai-ya".
 (B) The Malikiyah say: They are forbidden to recite the Quran however few It is, except for (1) to protect oneself from the enemy and so forth, (2) to give an evidence or a Syariat Law.
(C) The Syafieiyah say: It is forbidden to recite the Quran even a letter by those who are with major defilement. But if he/she recites It with the intention of "Dzikir"/remembering Allah or, unintentionally recited It or reciting It as a Doa, then it is permissible.
(D) The Hanbaliyah say: It is permissible to recite the Quran by those with major defilement either It a few or a short verse from a long versed. [It is the same as that of the three Imams' mentioned above]. It is forbidden to recite longer verse than that is required.
    It is also forbidden to (vi) stay in a mosque. But if it were just to pass through the mosque, is permissible, as reported by Aisyah r.a narrated by Abu Daud, and from Ummu Alamah r.a. narrated by Ibnu Majah and At-Tibroni, and from Jabir r.a. narrated by Ibnu Abi Syaibah and Sa'id bin Manshur, and from Maimunah r.a. narrated by Ahmad and Nasa'i. And from verse 43 of surah 4 An-Nisa~, Allah Say, "O Believers, do not approach your Solat when you are drunk, until you know what you are saying, nor when you are in a state of major defilement, unless you are travelling the road, until you have bathed".
