Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh (synopsis of Islam). Please refer to the text.
وَإِذْ قُلْتُمْ يَمُوسَى لَن نُّؤْمِنَ لَكَ = "Wa Idz Qul Tum Ya~ Mu~sa~ Lan~Nuu-mi-na La Ka",  "Wa Idz" = And when, "Qul" = say, "Tum" = they, "Ya~ Mu~sa~" = O Moses, "Lan" = shall not, "Nuu-mi-ma" = we believe, "La Ka" = in you,
Hat-ta~ Na-rol-Loha Jah-ro-tan",  "Hat-ta~" = until, "Na-ro~" = we see, "Al-Loha" = Allah, "Jah-ro-tan" = plainly,
فَأَخَذَتْكُمُ اُلصَّعِقَةُ وَأَنتُمْ تَنظُرُونَ = "Fa A-kho-dzat Ku-mush-SHo~'i-qo-tu Wa Ant~tum Tanzh~ZHu-ru~~n".  "Fa" = then, "A-kho-dzat" = to punish, "Ku-mu" = all of you, "ash-SHo~'i-qo-tu" = the thunderbolt, "Wa Ant~tun" = and all of you, "Tanzh~zhu-ru~na" = all of you saw.
"Wa Idz Qul Tum Ya~ Mu~sa~ Lan~Nuu-mi-na La Ka Hat-ta~ Na-rol-Loha Jah-ro-tanf~Fa A-kho-dzat Ku-mush-SHo~'i-qo-tu Wa Ant~tum Tanzh~ZHu-ru~~n". = And (remember) when you all said, "O Moses! We shall not believe in you before we see Allah plainly". Thence, the thunderbolt (was sent to) punish all of you. And all of you did see (the thunderbolt).
"THum~ma" = Then, "Ba-'ath" = resurrect, revive, "Na~" = We, "Kum" = all of you, "Min" = from, "Baa-di" = after,  "Maw-ti" = death, "Kum" = your, "La-'al-la-kum" = perhaps, so that all of you, "Tasy-ku-ru~na" = you all give thanks.
"THum~ma Ba-'ath Na~ Kum~Mim~Baa-di Maw-ti Kum La-'al-la-kum Tasy-ku~ru~~n". = Then, We/Allah revived all of you after you have all died, so that you all give thanks.
(Prophet Moses a.s. in obeying Allah's commandment, asked his 12,000 loyal followers to kill all others who had worshipped the calf. Those 12,000 were of good people and they were to kill people whom they know, whom they love, such as their fathers, or mothers or brothers or sisters or friends or neighbours. It was a very difficult task. So, Allah covered them all with thick cloud, and the killing began from morning till dusk. Many lives were lost, it was said, it amounted about 70,000 lives. When the cloud was cleared, Prophet Moses a.s. saw there were so many dead, he broke down and wept. Then Allah said, "Will you not be happy and be consent that all those who killed and all those who were killed will be put into the Paradise. The deads are martyrs, and those who are still alive, be pardoned." That had made Prophet Moses a.s. relieved and happy and he a.s. was thankful to Allah.
Then Allah commanded Prophet Moses a.s. to bring seventy selected good persons to Mount Sinai to beg Allah for forgiveness for worshipping the calf. (to be continued).

Let us now continue to look into the Basic Islamic Rules:
  (2) Solat: (B) The Sunnah/optional In A Solat:
(vi) To Recite Verses Of The Quran After The Fatihah:
Reciting Verses When Following The Imam:
In the beginning, solat was not valid without reciting surah Al-Fatihah in every Rokaat in a solat Fardhu or in a solat Sunnah, as was forwarded in "The Fardhu To Be Performed In The Solat".
But the obligation to recite It by the Maamum/follower/s is done away in a solat where verses of the Quran are recited loudly by the Imam, and the Maamum is/are Wajib/obligatory to keep quiet and listen to the Imam's recitals, as commanded by Allah s.w.t. in surah 7 Al-Aarof, verse 204, "When the (verses of) Quran are recited, listen to It and give ear/pay heed, so that all of you gain Rohmat/Clemency.". And the Hadith narrated by Muslim, that the Prophet s.a.w. said, " When the Imam utters Takbir/Allohu Akbar, all of you must also utter Takbir, and when he recites Quran, all of you must keep silent and give ear/pay heed".
When performing solat where the Imam recites the Quran softly, it is Wajib for the Maamum himself to recite Quran softly.
(vii) To Utter Takbir At Each Moment Of Change: (to be continued).
Until we meet in the next session, see you all Quran Lovers soon.
