Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh (synopsis of Islam). Please refer to the text:
قَالَ إِنَّهُو يَقُولُ إِنًَّهَا بَقَرَةٌ لَّا ذَلُولٌ تُثِيرُ اُلْأَرْضَ = "Qo~la In~na Hu~ Ya-qu~lu In~na Ha~ Ba-qo-ro-tul-La~ DZa-lu~lunt~Tu-thi~rul-Arr-dho",  "Qo~la' = He said, "In~na" = truly, "Hu~" = He, "Ya-qu~lu" = said, "In~na" = that, "Ha~" = she is, "Ba-qo-ro-tun" = a cow, "La~" = not, "DZa-lu~lun" = gentle, "Tu-thi~ru" = to plough, "al-Arr-dho" = the land, soil,
"Wa La~" = and not, "Tas-qo~" = to draw water, "al-Harr-tha" = the plowing, the tilth, "Mu-sal-la-ma-tun" = flawless, "La~" = not, "SYi-ya-ta" = ugly, blemish, "Fi~ Ha~" = at, in her.
"Qo~la In~na Hu~ Ya-qu~lu In~na Ha~ Ba-qo-ro-tul-La~ DZa-lu~lunt~Tu-thi~rul-Arr-dho Wa La~ Tas-qol-Harr-tha Mu-sal-la-ma-tul-La~ SYi-ya-ta Fi~ Ha~".  = (Moses) Said, "Truly, He/ Allah said that she is a cow, is not gentle (to obey) to plough the land/soil, nor to draw water to the tilth. And she is flawless nor ugly/blemish". They said, "Now you have brought the truth (about her to us). Then they slaughtered her/the cow. And they had almost could not succeed to do so (because she/that kind of cow was difficult to get).
(The verses 67 till 71 tells us about the Children of Israel and a cow, and this episode is used for this surah's title, "Al-Baqoroh"/the cow. As we said earlier, the poor Jew killed his rich cousin and accused the people in the other village. Prophet Moses a.s. could not know who did it, so he a.s. entreat Allah for help. And Allah s.w.t. told him to slaughter a cow. The Children of Israel did not follow Prophet Moses's bidding to slaughter a cow but had inquired many questions about the cow which caused them very difficult to get. In the end they could find that special kind of cow from a very pious young man who was obedient to his mother. In the morning the youn man would gather fire woods in the forest, then sold them in the market place. From that income, a third, he gave to charity, a third, he spent for his food and drink and the other one third, he gave to his mother. In the evening and at every night, he spent a third of his time for devotion and helping his mother, and a third, for prayers, worshipping Allah/Yahweh, and a third for sleep.
One morning, his mother told him to sell a cow which was left by his late father. The cow was kept in a woods nearby. He was to sell the cow at three dinars. But before selling it, he should first inform his mother. He then took the cow to the market place.
Allah sent an Angel in a human form to the young to test him. The Angel asked him how much was the cow. The young man said, "Three dinars as required by my mother".  The Angel said, "How if I were to buy for six dinars without first telling your mother". The young man said, "No.". He then returned home and to told what had happened to his mother. His mother said, "Go and sell it at six dinars. But do not sell if before telling me first". In the next morning , he went to the market with the cow. (to be continued).
                                oooo000oooo
Let us now continue to look into the Basic Islamic Rules:
    (2) Solat: (B) The Sunnah/optional In A Solat:
    (xvii) Tasyahhud - the First:
It is Sunnah to recite a short Tasyahhud in the first Tasyahhud: A Hadith from Ibnu Mas'ud who said, "When the Prophet s.a.w. sat down after the first two Rokaat, he was as if sitting on a glowing coal (meaning for a short while) (narrated by Ahmad and the People of Sunan. And according to Tirmidzi it is a good Hadith, while 'Ubaidah had never heard it from his father).
Tirmidzi said that it became the "'Amal"/doing of the "Ahli"/people, they liked to sit for a short while in reciting the Tasyahhud without adding any recitation to the Tasyahhud".
Ibnu Qoiyim said, "There is no narration about the Prophet s.a.w. recited Sholawat/blessing to himself s.a.w. and to his family in the first Tasyahhud. Nor did he s.a.w. seek refuge in Allah from the punishment in the grave, in the Hell Fire, from the temptation to evil in life, the disaster of death, and of the Messiah Ad-Dajjal/ Cyclops. Thus, the recitation of Tasyahhud is as was given in "The Fardhu To Be Performed In A Solat: (viii) Reciting The Tasyahhud", to be recited in the first Tasyahhud.
(xviii) Sholawat upon The Prophet s.a.w.: (to be continued).
Until we meet again in the next session, see you all Quran Lovers later.
والسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
