أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم
ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh (synopsis of Islam). Please refer to the text:
"THum~ma" = Then, "Ta-wal-lai" = turn away, "Tum" = all of you, "Min" = from, "Baa-di" = after, "DZa~li-ka" = that.
"THum~ma Ta-wal-lai Tum~Mim~Baa-di DZa~lik."  = Then (after making that promise that all of you would obey Allah's Commandment as is in the Torah), you turned away/broke the promises.
صلى = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
فَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ اُللهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهَو = "Fa law La~ Fadh-lul-Lohi 'A-lai Kum Wa Roh-ma-tu-hu~",  "Fa" = Then, "Law" = if, "La~" = not, "Fadh-lu" = to be good/grace, "Al-Lohi" = Allah, " 'A-lai Kum" = upon all of you, "Wa" = and, "Roh-ma-tu" =  Rohmat/sympathy, clemency, "Hu~" = His,
لَكُنتُم مِّنَ اُلْخَسِرِينَ = "La Kunt~Tum~Mi-nal-KHo~si-ri~~n".  "La" = surely, "Kun" = to be, "Tum" = all of you, "Mi-na" = of, "al-KHo~si-ri~na" = the losers.
"Fa Law La~ Fadh-lul-Lohi 'A-lai Kum Wa Roh-ma-tu Hu~  La Kunt~Tum~Mi-nal-KHo~si-ri~~n".  If it was not for the Grace of Allah and His Rohmat/Sympathy, Clermency, all of you would have been among the losers. (In Islam, there is no compulsion to belief, as Allah says in this surah verse 256, "There is no compulsion in religion. In deed, truth of Faith is distinct from error".).
(65) (to be continued).
                                     oooo000oooo
Let us now continue to look into the Basic Islamic Rules:
  (2) Solat: (B) The Sunnah/optional In A solat:
(xiv) The Ritual Of Sitting Down In Between Two Sujud:
From Towus who said, "I saw all the Abdullah (Abdullah ibnu 'Abbas, Abdullah ibnu 'Umar, and Abdullah ibnu Zubeir sat kneeling/on their knees". (narrated by Baihaqi, and Hafizh who said the isnad is correct).
However, squating/sitting with both legs drawn up in front of the body is not Sunnah, it is Makruh/detestable.
It is Sunnah to place both hands/palms, the right on the right thigh near the knee and the left hand on the left thigh near its knee. All fingers are not closed together and are pointing towards the Qiblat and the tips are on top of the knees.
The Doa Made While Sitting Down: (to be continued).
Until we meet again in the next session, see you all Quran Lovers later.
والسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Abdul Hamid Mohd Yusof.
