Let us now continue to look into the Basic Islamic Rules:
   (2) Solat: (B) A Sunnah/optional  In A Solat:
(xvi) The Ritual Of Sitting Down To Recite The Final Tasyahhud:
    (c) That the sitting down is to be in the manner of "Iftirosy"/to spread, in the first Tasyahhud, that is to bend the left foot to the right and sit on it while the right foot is erected with the toes pointing towards the Qiblat.
And in the final Tasyahhud, to sit in the manner of "Tawarruk"/ leaning, that is the right foot is erected with the toes pointing towards the Qiblat and the left foot is bent to the right and place it under the right leg and sit on the floor.  The Hadith from Abu Humeid who reported, "When the Prophet s.a.w. sat down in the second Rokaat (of a four Rokaat Solat), he s.a.w. sat on his left foot (bent towards the right) and he s.a.w. erected his right foot. Then when he s.a.w. sat down in the final Rokaat, he s.a.w. pushed his left foot (under his right leg) and placed/sat on his bottoms (to the floor).
[ A Sunnah is optional, if performed we gain reward. If not performed, we are neither sinned nor rewarded. But a Haram is forbidden. If we do the thing, we will be sinned, but if we abstain, we will gain reward. In a Solat, if we were to cause discomfort or we disturb and cause uneasiness to the person or persons who is/are beside us, it is a sin and our action is called "Zholim"/cruelty, unjust, taking pleasure in the suffering of others.
In a Solat, we see that the Prophet s.a.w. (i) when Sujud, he s.a.w. parted his elbows (from his sides) that the white of his arm-pits were seen/visible. And (ii) when he s.a.w. sat down in the final Rokaat for the final Tasyahhud, he s.a.w. sat the "Leaning" manner. These are Sunnah. And the Prophet s.a.w. was the Imam of the Solat, so, he s.a.w. performed Solat alone, by himself. While we, the Maamum/followers, Solat in a group. At times, the mosque was packed, and we are like the sardines. If we Sujud with elbows spread out, would our elbows not pressed at other people beside us and cause them discomfort? And when sitting final Tasyahhud, we sit the "Tawarruk"/leaning manner, do we not lean on others and cause them uneasiness? It is much better not to do a Haram thing than doing the Sunnah but in so doing we are being "Zholim"/cruel to others.].
(xvii) Tasyahhud - The First: (to be continued).
Until we meet again in the next session, see you all Quran Lovers soon.
