Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh (synopsis of Islam). Please refer to the text:
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
(138) صِبْغَةَ اُللهِ صلى وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ مِنَ اُللهِ صِبْغَةً صلى وَنَحْنُ لَهُو عَبِدُونَ
صِبْغَةَ اُللهِ = SHibb-gho-tal-Loh".  "SHibb-gho-ta" = Dye, colour, religion, "Al-Lohi" = Allah.
"SHibb-gho-tal-Lohi".  = Dye/ Colour/Religion of Allah.
صلى = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
Wa Man Ah-sa-nu Mi-nal-Lohi SHibb-ghoh".  "Wa" = And, "Man" = whose, "Ah-sa-nu" = is better, "Mi-na" = than, "Al-Lohi" = Allah, "SHibb-gho-tan". = religion.
"Wa Man Ah-sa-nu Mi-nal-Lohi SHibb-ghoh".  = And whose is the better religion than the religion of Allah?

صلى = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
Wa Nah-nu La Hu~ 'A~bi-du~~n".  "Wa Nah-nu" = And we, "La Hu~" = of Him, " 'A~bi-du~na". = we worship.
"Wa Nah-nu La Hu~ 'A~bi-du~~n".  = And only of Him/Allah we worship.
(Ibnu 'Abbas defined the word "SHibb-gho-tu" as religion. Some interpreters defined it as dipping into a liquid/baptism. But we will say it is "religion". What better religion than the religion of Allah? And we do worship only of Allah and of no one and nothing else.).
قُلْ أَتُحَآجُّونَنَا فِى اُللهِ وَهُوَ رَبُّنَا وَرَبُّكُمْ = "Qul A Tu-ha~~~j(a Madd Lazim Kalimi Mu-thaq-qol/irrevocable Heavy Word, as there is a Shaddah ّ  sign after the Madd, to 6 harakah)-ju~na Na~ Fil-Lahi Wa Hu-wa Rob-bu Na~ Wa Rob-bu Kum",  "Qul" = Say, "A" = are?, "Tu-ha~~~j-ju~na" = to argue, to dispute, "Na~" = us, "Fi" = about, "Al-Lahi" = Allah, "Wa Hu-wa" = and He, "Rob-bu" = Lord, "Na~" = our, "Wa" = and, "Rob-bu" = Lord, "Kum" = your (pl.)
وَلَنَآ أَعْمَلُنَا وَلَكُمْ أَعْمَلُكُمْ = "Wa La Na~~ Aa-ma~li Na~ Wa La Kum Aa-ma~lu Kum",  "Wa" = and, "La" = for, "Na~" = us, "Aa-ma~lu" = deeds, "Na~" = our, "Wa" = and, "La" = for, "Kum" = you (pl.), "Aa-ma~lu" = deeds, "Kum" = your (pl.),
Wa Nah-nu La Hu~ Mukh-li-shu~~n". "Wa" = and, "Nah-nu" = we, "La" = to, "Hu~" = Him, "Mukh-li-shu~na" = are sincere.
"Qul A Tu-ha~~~j-ju~na Na~ Fil-Lahi Wa Hu-wa Rob-bu Na~ Wa Rob-bu Kum Wa La Na~~ Aa-ma~lu Na~ Wa La Kum Aa-ma~lu Kum Wa Nah-nu La Hu~ Mukh-li-shu~~n".  = "Say! "Would you dispute with us about Allah while He is Our Lord and your Lord too? And we are (responsible) for our deeds, and you for your deeds. And to Him, we are sincere.
(Allah is teaching the Prophet s.a.w. and the Believers on how to avert argument/dispute with the Polytheists by saying that would they dispute about the Oneness of Allah, about our sincerity in our religious rites and in our submission to and in our obedience to Him and His commandments? It is He/Allah who regulates us, including your good selves. It is only of Him we worship. It is He and He alone is to be worshipped and nothing else. Who we worship has nothing to do with you and vice versa. And we are sincere in our deeds and in our worship of Him).
(140) (to be continued).
Until we meet again in the next session, see you all Quran Lovers later.
Abdul Hamid Mohd Yusof.
