أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم
ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh (synopsis of Islam). Please refer to the text:

Wa Ma~~ U~ti-ya Mu~sa~ Wa 'I~sa~",  "Wa" = and, "Ma~" = what, "U~ti-ya" = was given to, "Mu~sa" = Moses, "Wa 'I~sa~" = and Jesus,
وَمَآ أُوتِىَ اُلنَّبِيُّونَ مِن رَّبِّهِمْ = "Wa Ma~~ U~ti-yan~Na-biy-yu~na Mir-Rob-bi Him", "Wa Ma~" = and what, "U~ti-ya" = was given to, "an~Na-biy-yu~na" = the Prophets, "Min" = from, "Rob-bi" = Lord, "Him" = their,
لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِّنهُمْ = "La~ Nu-far-ri-qu Bai-na A-ha-dim~Min Hum",  "La~" = do not, "Nu-far-ri-qu" = we make distinction, "Bai-na" = between, "A-ha-din" = anyone, "Min" = of, "Hum" = them,

We do not make distinction/difference between each one of them/the Prophets. And we sunmit ourselves to and we obey only Him/Allah.".
(Bukhori narrated from Abu Huroiroh r.a. who said, "The People of the Scripture recited the Torah in Hebrew and then translated the verses into Arabic for those who had embraced Islam, then the Prophet s.a.w. said, "Do not acknowledge nor disaprove them/the People of the Scripture, just say that we believe in Allah and in what He sent down/revealed (to His Prophets, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, the Asbat/the tribes/children of Jacob, Moses, Jesus and others including Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.).
Allah commands Muslimin not to make distinction between the Prophets, and to believe in all of them. But they, the Prophets must be of those who were sent forth by Allah and not by mankind. The Prophets from Allah will call people to believe in and to worship One and Only God, and to believe in His Angels, in His Scriptures, in His Prophets and His Messengers, in the Hereafter/life after death including the Judgment Day where people who did good in this world will be rewarded and will stay in the Paradise permanently, and those who did evil deeds will be punished in the Fiery Hell; and to believe in the preordination that all good fortune and misfortune are preordained by Allah; and to do good deeds. If none of these were not taught by the Prophet, then he is not from Allah, the Creator of the Creation.).
(137) (to be continued).
                                    =====*****======
Let us now have a glance into the Al-As-bat.
Prophet Abraham a.s. and Siti Sarah/Sara had only one son, named Is-hak/Isaac a.s. Prophet Is-hak/Isaac a.s. had two sons, (i) Yaaqub/Jacob a.s. and (ii) Ish. His/Ish's son was a Prophet named Ay-yub/Job a.s. who was also a very wealthy man.
Prophet Yaaqub/Jacob a.s. had twelve sons. These 12 sons are called the As-bat/the tribes, Allah made them into 12 tribes. Prophet Jacob a.s. had a title, i.e. Israel/the love of Yahweh. His mother was Rafaqah daughter of Batuel. Prophet Jacob a.s. had a twin younger brother whose name is 'Aish. 'Aish later migrated to Rome. He was then called the Father of the Romans. His, 'Aish's descendants are the Romans.
Prophet Jacob a.s. married Lea/Lia, then he a.s. married Rahil, both these girls were his cousins, they were his uncle's (his mother's brother, named Laman) daughters. Then, the Law allowed marrying sisters at one time. Prophet Jacob a.s. loved his wives dearly, and they both loved him dearly too. His a.s. wives each had a slave girl, and they presented their slave girls to him a.s. Lea gave her slave girl, Balahah, and Rahil gave her girl, Zulfa, to Prophet Jacob a.s.
With Lea, Prophet Jacob a.s. had (i) Robil (ii) Syam'un (iii) Lawi (iv) Yahuza (v) Aisakhar and (vi) Zabulun.
With Rahil, he a.s. had (i) Prophet Yusuf/Joseph a.s. a very handsome/beautiful man. [One of my ustaz told us that the beauty of a virgin of Paradise was given half to Prophet Joseph a.s. and the other half to all girls/women in the whole world], and (ii) Benjamin. Rahil passed away after giving birth to Benjamin, and was barried outside Jerusalem.
With Balahah, he a.s. had (i) Dana and (ii) Nafatali.
With Zulfa, he a.s. had (i) Jad and (ii) Asyir.
These were the children of Prophet Jacob/Israel a.s., they are the Al-Asbat/the tribes.
Until we meet again in the next session, see you Quran Lovers later.
والسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Abdul Hamid Mohd Yusof.
