بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم
ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh (synopsis of Islam). Please refer to the text:
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
(119) إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَكَ بِاُلْحَقِّ بَشِيرًا وَنَذِيرًا صلى وَلَا تُسْئَلُ عَنْ أَصْحَبِ اُلْجَحِيمِ
إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَكَ بِاُلْحَقِّ بَشِيرًا وَنَذِيرًا = "In~Na~~ Arr-sal Na~ Ka Bil-Haq-qi Ba-syi~row~Wa Na-dzi~ro~".  "In" = Truly, "Na~" = We, "Arr-sal" = sent, "Na~" = We, "Ka" = you, "Bi" = with, "al-Haq-qi" = the truth, "Ba-syi~ron" = bringer of good tidings, "Wa" = and, "Na-dzi~ron" = warner.
"In~Na~~ Arr-sal Na~ Ka Bil-Haq-qi Ba-syi~row~Wa Na-dzi~ro~".  = Truly, We/Allah sent you (O Muhammad!) with the Truth, as a bringer of good tidings and as a warner.
صلى = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
وَلَا تُسْئَلُ عَنْ أَصْحَبِ اُلْجَحِيمِ = "Wa La~ Tus-a-lu 'An Ash-ha~bil-Ja-hi~~m".  "Wa" = And, "La~" = not, "Tus-a-lu" = you are asked, questioned, " 'An" = about, "Ash-ha~bi" = people, inhabitants, "al-Ja-hi~mi" = the Hellfire.
"Wa La~ Tus-a-lu 'An Ash-ha~bil-Ja-hi~~m".  =  And you will not be quetioned about the people/inhabitants of the Hellfire.
( Ibnu Hatim narrated from Ibnu 'Abbas that the Prophet s.a.w. said, "I was revealed with a verse, " Truly, We sent you (O Muhammad) with the Truth, bringer of good tidings and warner". He s.a.w. said, "That is, good tidings means the Paradise, and warning means the Hellfire". And the Prophet s.a.w. will not be questioned about the people of the Hellfire means he s.a.w. will not be asked by Allah about the infidels who denied him. His s.a.w. duty is to convey the good tidings and the warning, and it is Allah who will judge them/the infidels.
Imam Ahmad narrated from 'Atha' ibnu Yasar who said, "I had met with Abdullah bin 'Amr bin 'Ash and I asked him, "Tell me what is said in the Torah about the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.". He said, "By Allah, he s.a.w. is like that which is told in the Quran: O Prophet! We are sending you to be a witness, bringer of good tidings  and warner, and protector of the uneducated. You are My bondservant and My Messenger. I call you Mutawakkil. You are not rude in your conversations nor you are stubborn,  you never shout out at the market place, nor you pay back evil with evil, you always forgive others and you are always forgiving. His/the Prophet's life will not be taken away from him s.a.w. before he s.a.w. has straightened the "Millah"/ religion which has been diverged (from the right path), by bidding Mankind to declare: "La~ I-la~ha Il-lal-Loh"/There is no other God but Allah. Thus, all eyes that are blind and all ears that are deaf and all hearts that are closed will be opened." (narrated by Al-Bukhori).).
(120) (to be continued).
                                =====*****=====
Let now continue to look into the Chronicle of Prophet Jesus son of Mary a.s.:
In surah 3 Al-'Imron, verses 35 till 37 and v.45 till 47, Allah relates how Mary d/o "Imron and Hannah was accepted by Him/Allah/Yahweh as a server in His House, then she grew up under the care of Prophet Zakariah a.s. And then she was bestowed with a son, Prophet Jesus a.s.:
Allah/Yahweh accepted Mary with full acceptence and made her grow into a good and pious, a beautiful and healthy girl. When Hannah brought Mary to the shrine in the Jerusalem and placed her in front of the Scholars and the Priests who were the descendants of Prophet Aaron a.s. telling them that she had made a vow to have her baby daughter to be a server in that shrine, all the Scholars and the Priests were very happy to accept the baby girl. All of them wanted to take care of her. Prophet Zakariah a.s. stepped forward and said that it should be him to take care of the baby because he was her uncle as her mother was his wife's sister. But no one agreed. One of them suggested that they drew lots. Then all of them went to the river and they threw their pens with their names written on them. The one which floated and was not drifted away by the current would be the one who would take care of the baby girl. The pen belonged to Prophet Zakariah a.s. floated and was not drifting. Thus he a.s. became the guardian of Mary and was elected as the head of all the Scholars and the Priests in the shrine.
Prophet Zakariah a.s. then prepared a special shrine for Mary which had a seven layers door. Only Prophet Zakariah a.s. kept the keys. Each time Prophet Zakariah a.s. entered the shrine, he a.s. was astonished to find various kinds of food and fruits of different seasons there. He a.s.asked, "Mary, from where is this  food come?". Mary replied, "It is from Allah/Yahweh. Yahweh give without stint to whom He will".
Then Prophet Zakariah a.s. prayed, "Lord, bestow me a good and upright offspring. You are the Hearer of prayer."
Then the Angels told Prophet Zakariah a.s. that he a.s. would have a son to be named "Yahya"/John who would confirm the Words of Yahweh (Jesus a.s.), and would be a chief, and would be disincline to females and would be a Prophet and would be pious.
During the years Mary was under the care of Prophet Zakariah a.s. she had grown into a very beautiful girl. There was a Jewish young man named Yusuf/Joseph An-Najjar who was a very pious man. He had offered marriage to Mary through Prophet Zakaria a.s.  After the proposal was made, he came to know that Mary was pregnant. The thought of leaving Mary, and would not have any thought about her any more had come across him. But that night he had a dream, a man forbade him from leaving Mary. Mary was innocent of any slander or any indecency. If he were to leave her, she would be lonely and blue and would have to face the difficulty alone. Thus, Joseph An-Najjar agreed to listen to the man in his dream, and he was there when Mary needed him.
One day, after Joseph An-Najjar proposed to her, while Mary was, as usual, praying in seclusion, there came a man standing in front of her. She was shocked and was wondering who was that man and what was he doing in there. (to be continued).
Until we meet again in the next session, see you all Quran Lovers later.
