ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh (synopsis of Islam). Please refer to the text:
وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَى اُلْكِتَبَ وَقَفَّيْنَا مِنم بَعْدِهِى بِاُلْرُسُلِ = "Wa La-qodd A~tai Na~ Mu~sal-Ki-ta~ba Wa Qof-fai Na~ Mim~Baa-di Hi~ Bir-Ru-sul:,  "Wa" = And, "La-qodd" = indeed, "A~tai" = to give, "Na~" = We, "Mu~sa~" = Moses, "al-Ki-ta~ba" = the Scripture, "Wa" = and, "Qof-fai" = to follow, to send, "Na~" = We, "Min" = from, "Baa-di Hi~" = after him, "Bi" = with, "al-Ru-su-li" = Messengers.
"Wa La-qodd A~tai Na~ Mu~sal-Ki=ta~ba Wa Qof-fai Na~ Mim~Baa-di Hi~ Bir-Ru-sul". = And indeed, We/Allah gave Moses the Scripture/Torah, and following after him, We/Allah sent many Messengers.
صلى = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
وَءَاتَيْنَا عِيسَى اُبْنَ مَرْيَمَ اُلْبَيِّنَتِ وَأَيَّدْنَهُ بِرُوحِ اُلْقُدُسِ = "Wa A~tai Na~ 'I~sab-na Marr-ya-mal-Bai-yi-na~ti Wa Ai-yadd Na~ Hu Bi Ru~hil-Qu-dus". "Wa" = And, "A~tai" = to give, "Na~" = We, " 'I~sa" = Jesus, "ibnu" = son of, "Marr-yam" = Mary, Miriam, Maria, "al-Bai-yi-na~ti" = the clear proof, "Wa" = and, "Ai-yad" = support, strengthen, "Na~" = We, "Hu" = him, "Bi" = with, "Ru~hi" = Spirit, "al-Qu-dus" = the Holy, (Ru~hil-Qu=dus, a term used for the Archangel, Gabrial a.s.).

صلى = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
أَفَكُلَّمَا جَآءَكُمْ رَسُولُم بِمَا لَا تَهْوَى~ أَنفُسُكُمُ اُسْتَكْبَرْتُمْ = "A Fa Kul-la-ma~ Ja~~a Kum Ro-su~lum~Bi Ma~ La~ Tah-wa~~ Anf~fu-su Ku-mus-tak-barr Tum",  "A Fa" = Is then, "Kul-la-ma~" = whenever, "Ja~~a" = come to, "Kum" = all of you, "Ro-su~lun" = Messenger, "Bi Ma~" = with not, "Tah-wa~" = your fancy, liking, "Anf~fu-su" = desires, "Kum" = all of your, "is-tak-barr" = be arrogant, "Tum" = all of you,

Some of them you deny and some of them you slay?
(Allah revealed the Scripture/Torah to Prophet Moses a.s. in one time that It was so heavy that he a.s. could not carry It. Then Allah commanded the Angels to carry It word by word, [as was narrated by Ibnu Abbas r.a. And the Angels were unable to carry them. Thus, Allah made It lighter so that Prophet Moses a.s. could carry It.].
After Prophet Moses a.s. had passed away, Allah sent forth several Messengers, including Prophets Yusyaa, Samuel, Sameon, David, Solomon, Asyiyaa, Armiyaa, Aziz, Hazqil, Elias, Yasaa, Jonah, Zachariah, John and others a.s. all these are the Children of Israel. They were to carry out the Mosaic Law on their people. Jesus a.s. was the last of the Children of Israel but he a.s. was given a New set of Law annulling Mosaic Law, in the new Scripture, Gospel. [Never once Allah mentioned Prophet Isa/Jesus as Christ. Christ was created by a Jew named Saul who later changed his name as Paulus]. Prophet Isa/Jesus son of Mary a.s. was strengthened by Allah with the support by Ruhul-Qudus/Holy Spirit/Gabrial a.s. Archangel Gabrial a.s. was always with Prophet Jesus a.s. during his a.s. time on earth. The Prophetic Power or the "Muujizat" of Prophet Jesus a.s. were, as mentioned in surah 5 Al-Maidah, verse 110, (i) He a.s. spoke to mankind in the cradle and in maturity. (ii) Was taught by Allah the Scripture and Wisdom, and in the Torah and in the Gospel. (iii) To shape a bird from clay, and breathed into it, and by Allah's permission, it became alive. (iv) Healed the blind man and the leper. (v) Raised the dead. (vi) Was protected from harm caused by the Israelites.
But the Jews, due to their arrogance, did not accept the Messengers named above, they denied some, such as Prophet Jesus a.s. and the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. and they had killed some, such as, Prophet Zachariah a. s. and Prophet John the Baptist a.s.).
