ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh (synopsis of Islam). Please refer to the text:
ثُمَّ أَنتُمْ هَؤُلَآءِ تَقْتُلُونَ أَنفُسَكُمْ = "THum~ma Ant~tum Ha~~u-la~~i (both Ha~~u and La~~i are Madd Wajib Muttashil/obligatory adjoining because, after the Madd there is a ء and are to the length of 4 or 5 harakah) Taqq-tu-lu~na Anf~fu-sa Kum",  "THum~ma" = Then, "Ant~tum" = all of you, "Ha~~u-la~~i" = these, "Taqq-tu-lu~na" = all of you kill, "Anf~fu-sa" = selves, "Kum" = all of your,
وَتُخْرِجُونَ فَرِيقًا مِّنكُم مِّن دِيَرِهِم = "Wa Tukh-ri-ju~na Fa-ri~qom~Mink~Kum~Mind~Di-ya~ri Him",  "Wa" = and, "Tukh-ri-ju~na" = all of you drive away, "Fa-ri~qon" = a group, "Min" = of, "Kum" = all of you, "Min" = from, "Di-ya~ri" = homes, "Him" = their,
تَظَهَرُونَ عَلَيْهِم بِاُلْإِثْمِ وَاُلْعُدْوَنِ = "Ta-zho~ha-ru~na 'A-lai Him~Bil-ith-mi Wal-'Udd-wa~ni",  "Ta-zho~ha-ru~na" = all of you help one another, " 'A-lai Him" = against them, "bi" = in, "Ith-mi" = sin, Wa" = and, "al-'Udd-wa~ni" = hostility,
وَإِن يَأْتُوكُمْ أُسَرَى تُفَدُوهُمْ = "Wa Iny~Yaa-tu~ Kum U-sa~ro~ Tu-fa~du~ Kum",  "Wa" = and, "In" = if, "Yaa-tu~" =  they come to, "Kum" = all of you, "U-sa~ro~" = to take/a captive, "Tu-fa~du~" = all of you redeem, "Hum" = them,
وَهُوَ مُحَرَّمٌ عَلَيْكُمْ إِخْرَاجُهُمْ = "Wa Hu-wa Mu-har-ro-mun 'A-lai Kum Ikh-ro~ju Hum",  "Wa Hu-wa" = and he/it, "Mu-har-ro-mun" = unlawful, " 'A-lai Kum" = on all of you, "Ikh-ro~ju" = drive away, "Hum" = them.
"THum~ma Ant~tum Ha~~u-la~~i Taqq-tu-lu~na Anf~fu-sa Kum Wa Tukh-ri-ju~na Fa-ri~qom~Mink~Kum~Mind~Di-ya~ri Him Ta-zho~ha-ru~na 'A-lai Him~Bil-Ith-mi Wal-'Udd-wa~ni Wa Iny~Yaa-tu~Kum U-sa~ro~ Tu-fa~du~ Hum Wa Hu-wa Mu-har-ro-mun 'A-lai Kum Ikh-ro~ju Hum".  = Then it was you people who killed one another and you drove a group of those people who were among you away from their homes. You helped one another to commit sin against them. And if they come to you to be taken as a captive, you redeem them (to freedom) while it is Haram/unlawful that you drive them away (and not redeem them from captivity/ slavery).
ج = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
(In the verse 84 Allah tells us that the Children of Israel had agreed not to shed blood/kill people and not to drive their people from their homes, but they broke the agreement as is mentioned in this verse 85. [This verse is also involved us Muslim now. In Malaysia, a few years ago, a state government of an opposition party had driven poor Muslimin and other poor Malaysians away from their homes and their lands, but their Muslim partners in their pact did nothing to defence those poor Muslimin and the poor Malaysians from being driven away and out of their homes and lands. That pact call themselves as Democrats, and Just, and Islam Upholders!].
(This verse 85, Allah forbids the Children of Israel, in accordance with the Torah, that they are not to kill one another and not to drive the people among them away from their homes. And when it is found that there are Jewish men or/and women are being made/kept as slaves, they must redeem them  at what ever cost they might be and then they are to be set free.
According to the history of Medina, before the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. migrated there, it was called Yathrib. The place was originally occupied by Jewish tribes who were being exiled from Syam/Syria and from Jerusalem when those countries were occupied by the Roman. Then came two small groups of Arabs from Yemen and settled down there. The Arabs had multiplied in two large tribes called the Aus and the Khazraj. But these two tribes could not live peacefully, they always fight and did battle with each other.
The Jews were also always fought with one another. The Scion/descendant of Qoinuqo was good with the Nadhir Scion but not with  Quraizhah Scion. Qoraizhah scion had made a pact with the Aus tribe to attack Nadhir scion which had made a pact with the Khazrij tribe. When the fight was over, the losing side was captured and its people were driven out of their homes. The losers who were not being captured would gather money to redeem the captives. Seen that, the Arabs asked the Jews, "Why did you go to war. Then you redeem those who are being captured?" The Jews answered, "It is a Rule that we must redeem the captives". The Arabs again asked, "Then why should you fight them?" The Jews replied, "It is a disgrace to us if we do not defend our pact. So, we fight wholeheartedly so that our associates are not humiliated."
But Allah does not want them to act as such, Allah wants them not to kill nor to drive people out of their homes nor helping others to commit sin against others, but they must redeem those who are being captured).

Let us now continue to look into the Basic Islamic Rules:
  (2) Solat: The Ritual of Solat, the Fardhu and the Sunnah:
(xxi) The Dzikir and the Doa after Making Salam:
(iv) From Mu'adz ibnu Jabal who said, "One day, the Prophet s.a.w. held my hands and said, "I really love you Muadz". I said, "By my parents, I love you very much too". The Prophet s.a.w. then said, "I am entrusting you with this Dzikr that you must without fail recite it after each Solat (Fardhu) : اللَّهُمَّ أَعِنِّى عَلَى ذِكْرِكَ وَشُكْرِكَ وَ حُسْنِ عِبَادَتِكَ = Al-Lohum~ma A-'in~Ni~ 'A-la~ Dzik-ri Ka Wa Syuk-ri Ka Wa Hus-ni 'I-ba~da-tik" = (O Allah, assist me in remembering You, in thanking and praising You and make good in worshipping You". (narrated by Ahmad, Abu Daud, Nasa-i, Ibnu Khuzaimah, Ibnu Hibban and Hakim).
  (v) From Mughirah ibnu Syuubah, "After Solat, the Prophet s.a.w. always recites: لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ. لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَئٍ قَدِيرٌ = "La~ I-la~ha Il-lal-Loh. Wah-da Hu~ La~ Sya-ri~ka Lah. La Hul-Mul-ku Wa La Hul-Ham-du Wa Hu-wa 'A-la~ Kul-li Syai-inq~Qodi~r". = (There is no other God but Allah. His Oneness is peerless. To Him belongs Sovereignty and to Him belongs Praise. And He has Power over all things). اللَّهُمَّ لَا مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ = "AlLohum~ma La~ Ma~ni-'a Li Ma~ Aa-toi Ta" = (O Allah, nothing can prevent whatever thing that You grant) وَلَا مُعْطِى لِمَا مَنَعْتَ = "Wa La~ Muu-ti~ Li Ma~ Ma-naa Ta" = (and there is nothing can give anything that You prevent) وَلَا يَنْفَعُ ذَالْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ = "Wa La~ Yanf~fa-'u Dzal-Jad-di Mink~Kal-Jadd" =  (And the greatness of the important persons is worthless compared to Your Greatness). (narrated by Ahmad. Bukhori and Muslim).
 (vi) (to be continued).
