Recitation 231

Dear Quran Lovers,
There are many disasters happening in the world today. In my country, Malaysia, is no exception. So, please help me in dealing these disasters without me telling us to lend a hand to those places by reciting surah Yasin and Its Doa. But this is only a charity work. But we are the Caliph on this lovely earth, to make it a good place to live in, and in harmony. Or there are Quran Lovers who have done it voluntarily! Alhamdulil-Lah! Thank you all.
Let us now continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh (synopsis of Islam). Please refer tot the text:
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
(81) بَلَى مَن كَسَبَ سَيِّئَةً وَأَحَطَتْ بِهِى خَطِيئَتُهُو فَأُوْلَئِكَ أَصحِبُ اُلنَّارِ صلى هُمْ فِيهَا خَلِدُونَ
بَلَى مَن كَسَبَ سَيِّئَةً وَأَحَطَتْ بِهِى خَطِيئَتُهُو فَأُوْلَئِكَ أَصْحَبُ اُلنَّارِ = "Ba-la~ Mank~Ka-sa-ba Sai-yi-a-taw~Wa A-ha~-tot Bi Hi~ KHo-ti~~a-tu Hu~ Fa U-(the وْ is an extra letter, it is not pronounced nor it a Madd)la~~i-ka Ash-ha~bun~Naa~rr".  "Ba-la~" = Certainly not, "Man" = who, "Ka-sa-ba" = to gain, "Sai-yi-a-tan" = bad, evil, "Wa" = and, "A-ha~tot" = covered, "Bi Hi~" = with it, "KHo-ti~~a-tu" = error, sin, "Fa" = then, "U-la~~i-ka" = these are, "Ash-ha~bu" = dwellers of, "an~Na~ri" = the Fire (of Hell).
"Ba-la~ Mank~Ka-sa-ba Sai-yi-a-taw~Wa A-ha~tot Bi Hi~ KHo-ti~~a-tu Hu~ Fa U-la~~i-ka Ash-ha~bun~Na~~rr". = Certainly not! (Allah did not make any promise that those Children of Israel be punished in the Fiery Hell for only a few days), he who has gained/done evil and his sins cover/spread over him. These are the dwellers of the Fiery Hell.
صلى = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
Hum Fi Ha~ KHo~li-du~~n".  "Hum" = They
 are, "Fi Ha~" = in it, "KHo~li-du~na" = eternally.
"Hum Fi Ha~ KHol-li-du~~n". = They are in it eternally.
(According to Ibnu 'Abbas r.a., their errors/sins were that they denied Allah and the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. and they were/are "Syirk"/polytheists/believe in more than one God or ascribe partner/s to Allah, that they will be the dwellers of the Fiery Hell eternally).
(82) (to be continued).
                              oooo000oooo
Let us now continue to look into the Basic Islamic Rules:
  (2) Solat: The Ritual Of Solat, Both The Fardhu and The Sunnah:
Stand Facing The Qiblat to Perform Solat:
Let us perform a four Rokaat, say Solat Zhuhur:
  (i) Standing facing the Qiblat. If unable to stand, sit, or lie down, which ever is possible.
(ii) Niat/Intention: (Wajib/obligatory) To resolve on performing Solat Fardhu Zhuhr in one's heart.
= "U-shol-li~ = I am performing solat, "Far-dho" = duty, "azh-Zhuh-ri" = the Zhuhur/midday.
"U-shol-li~ Far-dhozh-Zhuhr" = I am performing duty to midday solat.).
For those who are having "was-was"/doubts, may recite it with words of mouth while the thought/Niat follows.
(It is the same with Solat عَصَر = 'Ashar/afternoon, and عِشَآءْ = 'I-sya~a/nightfall. These three Solat Fardhu are done in four Rokaat).
  The moment when to "Niat":
Imam Hanafi, Maliki dan Hambali say: just before uttering the Takbirotul-Ihrom.
Imam Syafiei says: it is to be resolved at the same time the Takbirotul-Ihrom is uttered.
As it is known that Solat Fardhu Zhuhur, 'Ashor and 'Isyaa are of four Rokaat, we need not resolve it/the 4 Rokaat. And it is understood that we perform Solat because of Allah, then we need not resolve this too. It is suffice to resolve: " To perform Solat Fardhu such and such.
(iii) Takbirotul-Ihrom (Fardhu): Immediately after the Niat, utter "Al-Lohu Akbar" = Allah is Great, while (Sunnah) to raise both hands to the shoulders until the tips of the thumbs touch the tips of the ear lobes with the palms towards the Qiblat.
Both eyes must  cast downward. In Solat or in Doa never cast the eyes upward. The followers of other religions cast their eyes upward because they are praying to idol or whatever. We, Muslim Solat to Allah, our God, our Lord and our Creator, and we are His bondservants, we must be humble and not be arrogant.
(iv) Hands down and place the left hand on the belly and the right hand on the left wrist (Sunnah): (to be continued).
Until we meet again in the next session, see you all Quran Lovers soon.
