أعوذبالله من الشيطان الرجيم
بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم
ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Dear Quran Lovers,
This month of Ramadhon is a month full of Barakah/blessing. All Sunnah/commendable Ibadah/good deeds will be rewarded at par with those of the Fardh/obligation. One of the Ibadah As-Sunnah is the solat. The obligatory solat are those to be perform 5 times a day and a night. A Hadith from Abi Hurairah r.a., that the Prophet s.a.w. was asked by some one, "Other than the 5 obligatory solat, what kind of solat is most preferred." The Prophet s.a.w. replied that the "Tahajjud/after mid night prayers/solat." (Please refer to surah 17 Al-Israa v. 79: " And some part of (after the mid of) the night, spend it in prayers/solat with It (the Quran) as an additional Ibadah/piety for you, so that your Lord may exalt you to an honourable rank." During this fasting month of Ramadhon, this Tahajjud prayers is made earlier and is called "Tarawih" prayers. The prayers may be done in a group or alone. It may be done after solat 'Isya or at any time before dawn/Shubuh prayers. The Prophet s.a.w. performed 8 raka'ah = 2 x 4 with his companions, Umar ibni Al-Khattab r.a. performed 20 rakaah = 2 x 10, while Umar bin Abdul Aziz r.a. performed 36 = 2 x 18.
There is no report concerning what surah to be recited at each rakaah. But for us, ordinary persons, if we perform alone or with our family members at home and if we do 20 rakaah, we may recite the first rakaah with surah Al-Fatihah and surah 102 At-Takathur and the second rakaah with Al-Fatihah and s.112 Al-Ikhlash (Qul Huwal-Lohu Ahad). And the next will be s. 1 + s.103 & 1 +s.112 and the others follow suit. After performing Tarawih, close them with 3 rakaah solat sunnah Witr, it may be performed 2 rakaah + 1 rakaah or 3 rakaah with one salam. In the Witr, we may recite s. 1 + s. 108 & s.1+s.109, then s.1+s.112+113+114, or just s.112.
Now, let us continue recite surah 32 As-Sajadah. Please refer to the text:
