Recitation 28

أعوذ بالله من السيطان الرجيم
بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم
Assalamu alaikum w. w.
Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us recite surah 102 At-Taka~thur. Please refer to the text:
One day, the Prophet s.a.w. said, "Isn't there any of you who is willing and able to recite a thousand verses everyday?" His companions replied, "Who is able to do so?" The Prophet s.a.w. said, "Can't any of you recite surah At-Taka~thur?" (narrated by Al-Hakim).
A report by Ibnu Abi Hatim from Abu Buraidah who said, "This surah At-Taka~thur was revealed when well-known Anshor clans, the Harithah and the Harthi, were always bragging about their men of figure. One clan would say to the other, "Do you have among you a man of figure like so and so?" Then they would take the other to the graveyard and said to the other, "Do you have among you a
man of figure like this man who is laying in this grave?" Thence, Allah revealed this surah to the Prophet s.a.w.:
