Recitation No.935

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم


 بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
ألسلام عليكم ورحة الله وبركاته
My Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh verse 237. Please refer to the Text:
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
وَإِن طَلَّ\قْتُمُوهُنَّ مِن قَبْلِ أَن تَمَسُّوهُنَّ وَقَدْ فَرَضْتُمْ لَهُنَّ فَرِيضَةً فَنِصْفُ مَا فَرَضْتُمْ إِلَّا أَن يَعْفُونَ أَوْ يَعْفُوَاْ الَّذِى بِيَدِهِى عُقْدَةُ النِّكَاحِ ج
= " Wa Int~Tol-laq Tu~ Hun~na Minq~Qob-li Ant~Ta-mas-su~ Hun~na Wa Qod Fa-rodh Tum La Hun~na Fa-ri~dho-tanf~Fa Nish-fu Ma~ Fa-rodh Tum Il-la~~ Ai~Yaa-fu~na Aw Yaa-fu-wal-La-dzi~ Bi Ya-di Hi~ 'Uq-da-tun~Nika~~~h." 
"Wa" = and 
 "In" (after the silent Nun is a "To", an Ikhfaa Haqiqi / hiding the silent Nun under the letter "To", is "Int~" with a humming sound of the nasal to 2 harakah) = if
"Tol-laq-tu-mu~" (the silent Qof is a Qolqoloh Sugh-ro / minor rumbling, to be emphasised gently. A Mad Ashli, 2 harakah) = you (pl.) divorce
"Hun~na" (a Wajibul-Ghunnah / obligatory to nasalize the Syaddah Nun, 2 harakah) = them (fem. pl.)
"Min" (after the silent Nun is a "Qof" is an Ikhfaa, same as above, "Minq~") = on
"Qob-li" ( the silent Ba is a Qolqoloh Sugh-ro, same as above) = before
"An" (after the silent Nun is a Ta, is an Ikhfaa, same as above) = that
" Ta-mas-su~" (a Mad Ashli, 2 harakah) = you (pl.) touch
"Hun~na" (a Wajibul-Ghunnah, same as above) = them (fem. pl.)
"Wa Qod" (the silent Dal is a Qolqoloh Sughro, same as above) = but already
"Fa-rodh" (the silent DHod is an Is-titolah word, when pronounced, the tongue is placed either under the right or the left upper molars) = determine
"Tum" (after the silent Mim is a Lam, is an Izh-har Syafawi / Oral expressing clearly, the silent Mim is pronounced distinctively without any humming sound of the nasal) = you (pl.)
"La" = for  "Hun~na" (a Wajibul-Ghunnah, same as above) = them
"Fa-ri~dho-tan" (a Mad Ashli, and after the Tanwin Ta is a Fa, is an Ikhfaa, same as above, is " -tant~") = the obligation
"Fa" = then,  "Nish-fu" =  half
"Ma~" (a Mad Ashli, 2 harakah) = what, of what
"Fa-rodh" = determine,  "Tum" (after the silent Mim is a standing Hamzah, is an Izhhar Halqi, same as above) = you (pl.)
"Il-la~" (after the Mad Asli is a standing Hamzah, is a Mad Jaiz Mumfashil / Permissible Disjoining where the standing Hamzah is in another word, to 2 or 4 or 6 harakah. If we begin pronouncing a Ma Jaiz with 4 harakah, then all Mad Jaiz in that sitting, must be of 4 harakah) = except, unless
"An" (after the silent Nun is a Ya, is an Id-ghom Ma'al-Ghunnah / Assimilating with a humming sound of the nasal to 2 harakah, "Ay~") = that
"Ya'a-fu~na" (a Mad Ashli, 2 harakah) = they (fem. pl.) excuse
"Aw" (a Mad Lin / soft without emphasis) = or
"Ya'a-fu-wa" (the Alif with a tiny o above it denotes it is not a Mad. And after this word is an Alif Lam Syamsiah/sun Definite Article, "-wal-") = they (male) excuse
"Al-Ladzi~" ( a Mad ashli, 2 harakah) = who
"Bi" = in,  "Ya-di" = hand,  "Hi" (and a tiny Ya denotes it is a Mad Shilah Qoshirah, 2 harakah, "hi~") = his
"'Uq-da-tu" (the Qof is a Qolqoloh Sugh-ro. And after this word is an Alif Lam Syamsiyah, as above, "-tun~") = to tie
"An~Ni-ka~hi" (We are pausing at this Mad Ashli, thus, it becomes a Mad 'Aridh Lis-Sukun / transitory to cease, to 2 or 4 or 6 harakah. If we pronounced in the beginning with 6 then in all through this sitting should be 6 harakah, "-ka~~~h) = the marriage.
 ج  = a Waqof Jaiz sign denotes pause is permitted.
  =  "And if you (pl.) divorced them (fem. pl,) before you touched them (touch your sex organs with theirs) / having sexual intercourse, but you have already determined an obligation i.e. the Mahar / dowry for them, then for them / the divorcee is a half of the amount you have determined, except she / the divorcee herself excuses or permits, or (by) those who have the power in his hand in the wedding".    =   ( And if you men divorced them before having sex with them, but you have already determined the Mahar / dowry, then you are to give them a half of what you have determined provided that they permit you not to pay them any dowry, or by those men / their "Wali / who have the legal power in giving them away in marriage, i.e. their fathers, paternal grandfathers, uncles, brothers and so on permit you not to pay.).
