بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh (synopsis of Islam). Please refer to the text:
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
(172)   يَأَيُّهَا اُلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ كُلُواْ مِن طَيِّبَتِ مَا رَزَقْنَكُمْ وَاُشْكُرُواْ لِلهِ إِن كُنتُمْ إِيَّاهُ تَعْبُدُونَ
يَأَيُّهَا اُلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ = "Ya~~ai-yu-hal-La-dzi~na A~ma-nu~",  "Ya~~ai-yu-ha~" = O, "al-La-dzi~na" = who (m. pl.), "A~ma-nu~" = believe,
كُلُواْ مِن طَيِّبَتِ مَا رَزَقْنَكُمْ = "Ku-lu~ Mint~Toi-yi-ba~ti Ma~ Ro-zaqq Na~ Kum",   "Ku-lu~" eat, "Min" = of, "Toi-yi-ba~tin" = good, pleasant, in good health, "Ma~" = what, that, "Ro-zaqq" = provide, "Na~" = We, "Kum" = you (pl.),
وَاُشْكُرُواْ لِلهِ = "Wasy-ku-ru~ Lil-Lahi",  "Wa" = and, "usy-ku-ru~" = you (pl.) give thanks, "Li" = to, "Al-Lahi" = Allah,
إِن كُنتُمْ إِيَّاهُ تَعْبُدُونَ = "Ink~Kunt~Tum Iy-ya~ Hu Taa-bu-du~~n".  "In" = if, "Kun" = to be, "Tum" = you (pl.), "Iy-ya~" = to, "Hu" = Him, "Taa-bu-du~na" = you (pl.) worship.
"Ya~~ai-yu-hal-La-dzi~na A~ma-nu~ Ku-lu~ Mint~Toi-yi-ba~ti Ma~ Ro-zaqq Na~ Kum Wasy-ku-ru~ Lil-Lahi Ink~Kunt~Tum Iy-ya~ Hu Taa-bu-du~~n".  = O those who believe/Believers! Eat (only) the good (food) that We/Allah s.w.t. provide you, and give thanks to Allah if to Him s.w.t. you worship/if you really worship Him s.w.t..
(Allah s.w.t. command us, the Muuminin/Believers to eat good including wholesome food that He s.w.t. provide us, and that we should be thankful to Him s.w.t., if we really worship Him s.w.t.
Eating Halal/lawful food is one of the causes one's Doa/entreat is being approved, and one's 'Ibadah/religious observance is accepted by Allah s.w.t.. And if one eats Haram/unlawful food, one's Doa and one's 'Ibadah will not be accepted by Allah s.w.t.. This is explained by the Hadith reported by Abu Huroiroh r.a., narrated by Iman Ahmad that the Prophet s.a.w. siad, " O Mankind! Allah s.w.t. is Good and do not accept anything but of the Good things. Truly, Allah s.w.t. had commanded all Believers just as He s.w.t. had commanded all the Messengers of Allah r.a., He s.w.t. said, "O Messengers of Allah! Eat food that are good/wholesome, and do good deeds. Really, I/Allah am All-Knowing of what you all do.". And He s.w.t. also said in surah Al-Baqoroh verse 172, "O Believers! Eat (only) the good that We provide you". Then the Prophet s.a.w. told about a man on a far journey, his hair was disorderly and his clothing was dusty. He lifted his hands to the sky and said, "O my Lord! O my Lord!" while his food was Haram/ obtained unlawfully, his drink was Haram, his clothing was haram, and he grew by Haram food. How could his Doa be approved?"). (This Hadith is also being narrated by Muslim and At-Tirmidzi.).
(173) (to be continued).
Until we meet again in the next session, see you all Quran Lovers later.
