بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh (synopsis of Islam). Please refer to the text:
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
(155) وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُم بِشَىءٍ مِّنَ اُلْخَوْفِ وَاُلْجُوعِ وَنَقْصٍ مِّنَ اُلْأَمْوَلِ وَاُلْأَنفُسِ وَاُلثَّمَرَتِ قلى وَبَشِّرِ اُلصَّبِرِينَ
وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُم بِشَىءٍ مِّنَ اُلْخَوْفِ وَاُلْجُوعِ = "Wa La Nabb-lu-wan~na Kum~Bi SYai-im~Mi-nal-KHow-fi Wal-Ju~'i",  "Wa" = And, "La" = surely, "Nabb-lu-wan~na" = We are to test", "Kum" = you (pl.), "Bi" = with, "SYai-in" = something, "Mi-na" = of, "al-KHow-fi" = the fear, "Wa" = and, "al-Ju~'i" = the hunger,
"Wa" = and, "Naqq-shin" = shortage, "Mi-na" = of, "al-Am-wa~li" = the wealth, money, "Wa" = and, "al-Anf~fu-si" = the lives, "Wa" = and, "ath-THa-ma-ro~ti" = the fruits, profits, gains.
"Wa La Nabb-lu-wan~na Kum~Bi SYai-im~Mi-nal-KHow-fi Wal-Ju~'i Wa Naqq-shim~Mi-nal-Am-wa~li Wal-Anf~fu-si Wath-THa-ma-ro~~t".  = And surely, We/Allah will put all of you to test with something of fear, and of hunger, and of shortage/loss of wealth/money, and loss of lives, and of fruits/crops/business/profits.
قلى = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
وَبَشِّرِ اُلصَّبِرِينَ = "Wa Basy-syi-rish-SHo~bi-ri~~n".  "Wa" = And, "Basy-syi-ri" = give good tidings/news to, "ash-SHo~bi-ri~na" = those who are patience/tolerant.
(In this verse, Allah inform us, Muslimin, that He will put us to some test that He think fit to each and one of us in order to differentiate between the good and obedience, and the no good and disobedience. The test will be either with fear, such as fear of the enemy and so forth, or with hunger, such as shortage of food and so on, or with shortage  or loss of wealth or money, such as being poor, being stolen, robbed, being burnt in fire, being washed away by flood and so forth, or with loss of lives, such as death of loved ones, or with loss of fruits or crops or in business because of flood, drought, and so forth.
If any of the Muslimin will forebear and be patience under any one or more of these tests (depending on how strong one's Iman/ Faith is), then Allah will reward him/her handsomely. But if one is losing hope or becomes depressed, sulky, suicidal and all, then Allah will pound on him/her with painful torment. We must never lose hope and distrust Allah and His Niimat. For He is Most Compassionate and Most Merciful).
(156) (to be continued).
Until we meet again in the next session, see you all Quran Lovers later.
والسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
