وَمَن تَطَوَّعَ خَيْرًا فَإِنَّ اُللهَ شَاكِرٌ عَلِيمٌ = "Wa Mant~Ta-tow-wa-'a KHoi-ronf~Fa In~nal-Loha SYa~ki-run 'A-li~~m".  "Wa" = And, "Man" = who, "Ta-tow-wa-'a" =  to comply, "KHoi-ron" =  well, good, "Fa" = then, "In~na" = truly, "Al-Loha" = Allah, "SYa~ki-un" = Thankful, " 'A-li~mun" = Knowing.

(The ash-SHofa and al-Marwah are two mountains siutated right in front of Mecca city. The valley in between them is the place where people perform Hajj and/or 'Umroh/minor Hajj are decreed to "Sa'i"/walk and at times run about to and fro from ash-Shofa and al-Marwah seven times, as a rite of the Hajj or the 'Umroh.
Before this verse was revealed, some of the Anshor/local Medinian Muslimin were reluctant to perform Sa'i because during pre Islamic time, the pagan Arabs did perform Sa'i in worshipping two idols, one male idol called "Asafa" which was situated on the Shofa mountain, and Nailah, a female idol situated on the Marwah mountain. These two idols were a pair of lovers who had committed adultery near the Cabaa. Allah had turned them to stone. And the Meccans placed them, each on the Shofa and Marwah mountains as an example to the people not to do sinful thing at the Caaba. But as times passed by, people began to worship these two statues. Thus, the Medinian Muslimin at first were reluctant to perform "Sa'i"/ walking and at times running between the Shofa and the Marwah mountains in performing the Hajj or the 'Umroh as it was similar rite performed by the pagan Arabs. So, Allah revealed this verse saying that there is no sin for them to perform the "Sa'i" between the Shofa and the Marwah mountains.
When the Prophet s.a.w. was asked by the Anshor about "Sa'i" between Shofa and Marwar, he s.a.w. said, "Perform Sa'i because Allah has decreed it upon all of you", this Hadith was reported by Aisyah r.a. and narrated by Bukhori and Muslim.
And Allah will bestow huge and handsome reward to those who perform one tiny goodness, for He/Allah s.w.t. is Most Thankful and is never ungrateful, and He is Most Knowing of what His bondservants do and He s.w.t. always reward them for whatever little good deed they do.).
(159) (to be continued).
