Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 al-Baqoroh (synopsis of Islam). Please refer to the text:
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
(156) اُلَّذِينَ إِذَآ أََصَبَتْهُم مُّصِيبَةٌ قَالُو~اْ إِنَّا لِلهِ وَإِنَّآ إِلَيْهِ رَجِعُونَ
أُلَّذِينَ إِذَآ أَصَبَتْهُم مُّصِيبَةٌ قَالُو~اْ إِنَّا لِلهِ = "Al-La-dzi~na I-dza~~ A-sho~bat Hum~Mu-shi~ba-tunq~Qo~lu~~ In~na~ Lil-Lahi",  "Al-La-dzi~na" = Those who, "I-dza~" = whenever, "A-sho~bat" = to befall, "Hum" = them, "Mu-shi~ba-tun" = misfortune, "Qo~lu~" = they say, "In~Na~" = truly we, "Li" = belong to, "Al-Lahi" = Allah,
Wa In~Na~ I-lai Hi Ro~ji-'u~~n".  "Wa" = and, "In~Na~" = truly we, "I-lai" = to, "Hi" = Him, "Ro~ji-'u~na" = we return.
"Al-La-dzi~na I-dza~~ A-sho~bat Hum~Mu-shi~ba-tunq~Qo~lu~~ In~Na~ Lil-Lahi Wa In~Na~~ I-lai Hi Ro~ji-'u~~n".  = (Bring good tidings to those who are tolerant that is) those who whenever a misfortune befalls them say, "In~Na~ Lil-Lahi Wa In~Na~ I-lai Hi Ro~ji-'u~n/we belong to Allah, truly to Him we shall return".
أُوْلَئِكَ عَلَيْهِمْ صَلَوَتٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَرَحْمَةٌ = "U-la~~i-ka 'A-lai Him SHo-la-wa~tum~Mir-Rob-bi Him Wa Roh-mah".  "U-la~~i-ka" = These are, " 'A-lai" = upon, "Him" = them, "SHo-la-wa~tun" = Blessings, "min" = from, "Rob-bi" = Lord, "Him" = their, "Wa" = and, "Roh-ma-tun" = Mercy.
"U-la~~i-ka 'A-lai Him SHo-la-wa~tum~Mir-Rob-bi Him Wa Roh-mah".  = These people are obtaining the Blessings and the Mercy from their Lord/Allah.
صلى = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
Wa U-la~~i-ka Hu-mul-Muh-ta-du~~n".  "Wa" = And "U-la~~i-ka" = these are, "Hu-mu" = they, "al-Muh-ta-du~na" = those who are rightly guided.
"Wa U-la~~i-ka Hu-mul-Muh-ta-du~~n".  = And these are of those who are being rightly guided.
(Allah tell us that if we are patience and tolerant when a misfortune befalls us, and we do nor swear nor curse nor blaming others but instead say, "In~Na~ Lil-Lahi Wa In~Na~ I-lai Hi Ro~ji-'u~n"/ we belong to Allah and truly to Him we shall return", then we shall gain the Blessings and the Mercy of Allah. Thus, we are rightly guided by Allah.
A Hadith reported by Abu Musa r.a. that the Prophet s.a.w. said, "When a child of a bondservant of Allah died, Allah ask His Angels, "Have you taken the life of My bondservant's child?" They reply, "Yes, we have". Allah again ask, "Have you taken the life of the apple of his eye?" The Angels answer, "Yes, we have". Allah then say, "What did he say then?". They reply, "He praised our Lord and recited, "In~Na~ Lil-Lahi Wa In~Na~ I-lai Hi Ro~ji-'u~n". Then Allah say, "Build him a house in the Paradise and name it "Baitul-Hamd"/house of Praise". (narrated by Tirmidzi).
(158) (to be continued).
Until we meet again in the next session, see you all Quran Lovers soon.
