Dear Quran Lovers,

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
(24) يَقُولُ يَلَيْتَنِى قَدَّمْتُ لِحَيَاتِى
يَقُولُ يَلَيْتَنِى = "Ya-qu~lu Ya~ Lai-ta Ni~", "Ya-qu~lu" = They say, "Ya~" = O, "Lai-ta" = would that, "Ni~" = I
قَدَّمْتُ لِحَيَاتِى = "Qod-dam Tu Li H*a-ya~ti~". "Qod-dam" = had in advance, "Tu" = I, "Li" = in, "H*a-ya~ti~" = my life
"Ya-qu~lu Ya Lai-ta Ni~ Qod-dam Tu Li H*a-ya~ti~" = (When the Hell is brought forth, they remember all the misdeeds they had done.) They say: "O! Would that I had in advance (on the earth did good deeds as an investment) for this life (in the Hereafter).
(25) فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يُعَذِّبُ عَذَابَهُو~أَحَدٌ = "Fa Yaw-ma-i-dzil-La~ Yu-'adz-dzi-bu 'A-dza~ba Hu~~ A-h*add". "Fa" = Then, "Yaw-ma-i-dzin" = on this day, "La~" = no, "Yu-'adz-dzi-bu" = punishment, " "A-dza~ba" = torment, "Hu~" = His, "A-h*a-dun" = One.
"Fa Yaw-ma-i-dzil- La~ Yu-'adz-dzi-bu 'A-dza~ba Hu~~ A-h*add" = For on this day/Judgement Day, no one punishes (as harsh as) He (Allah the) One and Only, punishes (the unbelievers and the sinners).
(26) وَلَا يُوثِقُ وَثَاقَهُو~أَحَدٌ = "Wa La~ Yu~thi-qu Wa-tha~qo Hu~~ A-h*add". "Wa La~" = And no, "Yu~thi-qu" = bind, fasten, "Wa-tha~qo" = binds, fastens, "Hu~" = His, "A-h*a-dun" = One.
"Wa La~ Yu~thi-qu Wa-tha~qo Hu~~ A-h*add" = And no one fastens, ties like He (Allah the) One and Only, fastens, ties (the unbelievers and the sinners).
(27) (to be continued).
                                oooo000oooo
Let us now look into the Basic Islamic Rules:
(2) Solat" Ghusul/major ablution:
Ghusul Sunnah/Bathing:
(i) Friday prayers is Fardhu/duty/obligatory to males only. Females are not. They need to be at home.
(ii) The Two 'Idd/Al-Fitrr and Al-Adh-h*a~ Feast Days. There is no good and strong Hadith requiring people to take bath before going to prayers on these 2 Feast Days.
(iii) He/She who had bathed a "maiyit"/deceased.: Most Ulama say it is Sunnah for the person who had bathed a maiyit to take Ghusul and it is based on the Hadith from Abu Hurairah r.a. that the Prophet s.a.w. requested those who bathe the maiyit, and those who carry it to take wudhuu, as narrated by Ahmad and the Group of people of Sunnah. (b) A report from Umar r.a. who said, " We bathed maiyits, some of us took Ghusul and some did not.". (narrated by Khatib). (c) When Asmaa binti 'Umeis had bathed her deceased husband, Abu Bakar Ash-Shiddiq r.a., she came out and enquired the Muhajirin/Meccan emigrants who were present, "Now, the day is cold and I am fasting. Need I to take Ghusul?" They replied, "No!". (narrated by Malik).
(iv) Ihram bathing. Multitude Ulama say, it is Sunnah for a person who wants to perform the Hajj or the 'Umrah to bathe before wearing Ihram cloths which is based on the Hadith from Zaid bin Thabit r.a. and narrated by Daruqut*ni, Baihaqi, and Tirmidzi).
(v) Ghusul when wanting to enter Mecca city which is based on the Hadith from Ibnu Umar r.a. (narrated by Bukhari and Muslim). (b) Ibnul Mundzir said, "According to all Ulama, Ghusul before entring Mecca is Sunnah and if failed to do so, there is no redemption". But most of the Ulama said, "As a redemption, one needs to take wudhuu."
(vi) Ghusul while Wukuf in Arafah: It is Sunnah to Ghusul for those who perform Wukuf when in Arafah. This is based on the report by Malik from Nafii: "That Abdullah ibnu Umar r.a. bathed when he wanted to perform Ihram, when he wanted to enter Mecca and when he wanted to Wukuf in Arafah, that is in the evening".
(D) Some matters about Ghusul to be settled: (to be continued).
Until the next session, see you all Quran Lovers soon.
والسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
