Recitation 156

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم
ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Dear Quran Lovers.
Let us recite surah 97 Al-Qoddrr. Please refer to the text:
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم
(1) إِنَّآأَنزَلْنَهُ فِى لَيْلَةِ اُلْقَدْرِ = "In~na~~ Anz~zal Na~ Hu Fi~ Lai-la-til-Qoddrr." "In~na~" = Truly We, "Anz~zal" = bring down, "Hu" = it, "Fi~" = on, "Lai-la-ti" = night, "al-Qodd-ri" = the decree.
"In~na~~ Anz~zal Na~ Hu Fi~ Lai-la-til-Qoddrr". = Indeed, We/ Allah, have (begun to) brought down/revealed It/the Quran on the Night of Qoddrr/Decree (in the month of Ramadan. Ibnu Abbas r.a. reported that Allah had brought down the whole volume of the Quran which contains 30 Juz/parts, 114 Surah/chapters from the Lauh Al-Mahfuz/Preserved Tablet/board in the 7th heaven to Bait Al-'Izzah in the lowest heaven (above the earth). Then the verses of the Quran were brought down to (the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.) bit by bit in accordance with each situation in the period of twenty three years.).
(2) وَمَآأَدْرَىكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ اُلْقَدْرِ  = "Wa Ma~~ Ad-ro~ Ka Ma~ Lai-la-tul-Qoddrr". "Wa Ma~" = And what, "Add-ro~" = see, "Ka" = you, "Ma~" = what, "Lai-la-tu" = night, "al-Qodd-ri" = the Decree.
"Wa Ma~~ Add-ro~ Ka Ma~ Lai-la-tul-Qoddrr". = And what do you see/understand by Lailatul-Qoddrr/Night of Decree?".
(3) لَيْلَةُ اُلْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ = "Lai-la-tul-Qodd-ri KHoi-rum~Min Al-fi SYahrr." "Lai-la-tul-Qodd-ri" = Night of Decree, "KHoi-run" = is better than, "Min" = of, "Al-fi" = a thousand, "SHah-rin" = month.
"Lai-la-tul-Qodd-ri KHoi-rum~Min Al-fi SYahrr" = Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.

Let us now look into the Basic Islamic Rules:
 (2) Solat: (iii) The Place of Solat Must Be Clean:
     This is based on the Hadith from Abu Hurairah r.a. who said, " A Bedouin stood up in the mosque and urinated in it. People were also standing up and wanted to catch hold of him. But the Prophet s.a.w. said, " Let him be! And pour a bucket of water on his urine. You are all sent to make things easy and not to make things difficult and comlicated." (narrated by AlJamaah except Muslim).
   The body, and the garment worn and the place of solat must be clean/free from these defilements:
 (i) Carcass/dead body of an animal except those bloodless animal, such ant, fly and so forth, or horn, fur, hair, nail, claw, or skin (ii) Blood whether it is flowing or trickling or spilled. But blood spilled by mosquito bite or blood from a boil or if it is a drop or two blood is excusable. (iii) Pork/meat of a pig (iv) Vomit, if it is a bit is excusable (v) Urine (vi) Excrement/stool (vii) Wadi/thick white liquid whick comes out after urination. (viii) Madzi/white sticky liquid which excretes with lust (ix) Mani/semen: Some Ulama are of the opinion that semen is dirty, there are strong opinion of some Ulama such as Ali ibni Abi Talib, Sa'id ibni Abi Waqosh, Ibnu Umar, Aisyah r.a. Asy-Syafiei, Ahmad and Abu Daud said Mani/semen is clean. (x) Liquor and (xi) Dog.
