Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh. Please refer to the text:
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
(14)  وَإِذَالَقُواْ اُلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ قَالُواْ~ءَامَنَّا وَإِذَا خَلَوْاْ إِلَى شَيَطِينِهِمْ قَالُواْ~إِنَّا مَعَكُمْ إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ مُسْتَهْزِءُونَ
وَإِذَالَقُواْ اُلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ قَالُواْ~ءَامَنَّا = "Wa I-dza~ La-qul-La-dzi~na A~ma-nu~ Qo~lu~~ A~man~Na~", "Wa I-dza~" = And when, "La-qu~" = they come across, meet, "al-La-dzi~na" = who, "A~ma-nu~" = believe, "Qo~lu~" = they say, "A~man~Na" = we believe,
وَإِذَا خَلَوْاْ إِلَى شَيَطِينِهِمْ قَالُواْ~إِنَّا مَعَكُمْ = "Wa I-dza~ KHo-law I-la~ SYa-ya~ti~ni Him Qo~lu~~ In~Na~ Ma-'a Kum", "Wa I-dza~" = and when, "KHo-law" = be alone, "I-la~" = to, with, "SYa-ya~ti~ni" = evil ones, "Him" = their, "Qo~lu~" = they say, "In~Na~" = truly we, "Ma-'a" = with, "Kum" = all of you,
In~na-ma~ Nah-nu Mus-tah-zi-u~~n". "In~na-ma~" = truly what, "Nah-nu" = we, "Mus-tah-zi-u~na" = mock.
"Wa I-dza~ La-qul-La-dzi~na A~ma-nu~ Qo~lu~~ A~man~Na~ Wa I-dza~ Kho-law I-la~ SYa-ya~ti~ni Him Qo~lu~~ In~Na~ Ma-'a Kum In~na-ma~ Nah-nu Mus-tah-zi-u~~n". = And when they/the hypocrites meet with those who are believers, they say, "We are (like you) believers". But when they are alone with their evil ones/their clique, they will say, "Truly, we are with you. We were just mocking (the believers)."
اُللهُ يَسْتَهْزِئُ بِهِمْ وَيَمُدُّهُمْ فِى طُغْيَنِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ = "Al-lohu Yas-tah-zi-u Bi Him Wa Ya-mud-du Hum Fi~ Tugh-ya~ni Him Yaa-ma-hum~~n". "Al-Lohu" = Allah, "Yas-tah-zi-u" = mock, "Bi Him" = with them, "Wa" = and, "Ya-mud-du" = prolong, leave, "Hum" = them, "Fi~" = in, "Tugh-ya~ni" = tyranny, "Him" = their, "Yaa-ma-hu~na" = they stray, wander about.
"Al-lohu Yas-tah-zi-u Bi Him Wa Ya-mud-du Hum Fi~ Tugh-ya~ni Him Yaa-ma-hu~~n". = Allah will (return) their mockery, and will leave them to stray and to wander about aimlessly (without His guidance) in their tyranny/cruelty (to the believers).
أُوْلَئِكَ اُلَّذِينَ اُشْتَرَوُاْاُلضَّلَلَةَ بِاُلْهُدَى = "U-(the وْ is unpronounced and it is not a Madd) la~~ (a Madd Wajib Muttashil = 4 harakah) i-kal-La-dzi~nasy-ta-ro-wudh-DHo-la~la-ta Bil-Hu-da~", "U-la~~-i-ka" = These are, "al-La-dzi~na" = who, "isy-ta-ro-wu" = to buy, purchase, "adh-DHo-la~la-ta" = the falsehood, "Bi" = with, to, "al-Hu-da~" = the guidance,
"Fa" = then, "Ma~" = not, "Ro-bi-hat" = to gain, "Ti-ja~ro" = trade, "Hum" = their, "Wa Ma~" = and not, "Ka~nu~" = to be, "Muh-ta-di~na" = rightly guided.
"U-la~~i-kal-La-dzi~nasy-ta-ro-wudh-DHol-la~la-ta Bil-Hu-da~ Fa Ma~ Ro-bi-hat-Ti-ja~ro-tu Hum Wa Ma~ Ka~nu~ Muh-ta-di~~n". = These are those who buy falsehood/error at the prise of Guidance/Truth, thus, they gain nothing in their trade, and they are not of those who are rightly guided (by Allah).
(17) (to be continued).
                             oooo000oooo
Let us now continue to look into the Basic Islamic Rules:
 (2) Solat:
    (i) Niyat/to intend: means the intention of doing/performing a deed/action in the hope that Allah will be pleased, and that His Rule is being observed.
The Niyat is an act of the heart which has nothing to do with "Laf-zah"/words of mouth, and uttering it is not a Syariah/decree. The obligation to Niyat is based on the Hadith reported by Umar r.a. who said, " The Prophet s.a.w. said, "Truly, the will/intent for the deed = all actions require/are with the intention, and truly, each person will gain what he intended..." (narrated by the Group).
And Allah says in surah 98 Al-Baiyinah verse 5, "And they are commanded only to worship Allah , keeping the religion sincerely".
To utter the Niyat in words of mouth, Ibnu Qoiyim in his book, "Ighothatil Lahfan", says, "Niyat means to purposely and to strongly desire to do/perform something. It is in the heart/mind and it has nothing to do whatsoever with words of mouth. There is none from the Prophet s.a.w., nor from his companions r.a. reporting about "Laf-zah Niyat"/uttering the intent. Those man-made Niyat in words of mouth at the beginning of taking Wudhuu and at the beginning of performing solat has been made by the satan as a struggling arena where people filled with doubt are being held back and are being tortured there, and are pursuing for perfection in their Niyat. Thence, we can see them repeat over and over again in pains to utter the Niyat, while it is not required to do in solat".
(ii) Takbiratul-Ihrom/exclamation of prohibition, "Al-Lohu Ak-bar": (to be continued).
Until we meet again in the next session, see you all Quran Lovers soon'
