ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to look into the Rites For Hajj:
 (19) The Stone-throwing:
I believe we all know that this Stone-throwing rites derived from the incident when Prophet Abraham a.s. was performing the Rites for the Hajj, (as told by Ibnu Abbas and narrated by Baihaqi, and  Ibnu Abbas heard from the Propohet s.a.w.), the Satan went to him a.s. at Jamrotu Al-'Aqobah, (which is situated on our left side when we enter Mina). Prophet Abraham a.s. threw at the Satan with Seven pebbles which caused the Satan to fall to the ground. Then when Prophet Abraham a.s. was at the second Jamroh/place for stone/pebbles throwing Al-Wusto, about 116.77 meters from the first Jamroh, the satan came to him a.s. again. Again, Prophet Abraham a.s. threw Seven pebbles at him till he fell to the ground. And when Prophet Abraham a.s. was at the third Jamroh Ash-Shugh-ro, the smallest Jamroh, some 156.40 meters away from the second Jamroh, the Satan appeared again. He was thrown by the Prophet a.s. with another Seven pebbles until he fell to the ground." Ibnu Abbas said, "You/Muslimin throw stones at Satan, and you all follow the religion of your forefathers".
It is Sunnah to perform Stone-throwing at Dhuha time/when the sun is at the height of a spear/half an hour at sunrise. But it is permissible to perform at any time before sunset. And it is also permissible to perform it after sunset. [I always went to perform it after performing Solat 'Isyaa as it was not hot and there were fewer people].
 (i) On the Nahar Day/10th of Dzul-Hijjah, we throw Seven pebbles (the pebbles are about  the size of a nut) at the Jamrotu Al-'Aqobah.
It is Sunnah to recite when we are about to throw a pebble, (as told by Ibnu Mas'ud and Ibnu Umar r.a.): "Al-Lohum~maj-'al Hu Haj-jan Mab-ru~ron Wa Dzam~bam~Magh-fu~ro~. Al-Lohu Akbar!" = (O Allah, make it/the throwing of stone a blessed/accepted Hajj, and all my sins are forgiven.. Allah is Most Great), then throw the pebble. Seven pebbles, Seven recitations and Takbir.
(ii) Then on every other Three Days, the 11th, 12th, and the 13th day, we throw Twenty One stones, making it in all Seventy pebbles.
(iii) As we have asked our Sheikh or the Committee of Hajj to perform the Sacrifice and the Dam for us, we need not worry about it. Leave it to the Authority.
(iv) On the Nahar Day, after we threw Seven pebbles at the Jamrotu al-'Akobah, we perform our Tahallul Awwal, shaving or cutting of hair. (to be continued).
Until we meet again in the next session, see you all Quran Lovers later.
والسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Abdul Hamid Mohd Yusof.
