Recitation 359.M

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to look into the Rites For Hajj:
   (c) Fasting On The Arafah Day:
From an authentic information, the Prophet s.a.w. did not fast on the Arafah Day, the Nahar/flow of blood/sacrifice Day, and the Tasyriq/three days after Nahar/IdulAdh-har Day because he s.a.w said that these days are our Feast Days, the days for eating and drinking. He s.a.w. forbid those who perform the Hajj from fasting on these days.
The Hadith asking people to fast on the Arafah Day is for those who do not not perform the Hajj.
 (d) To Jamaa/combine the Solat Zhuhur and Solat Ashor:
It is Sunnah to perform Solat Zhuhur and Ashor together. If the Imam does not Jamaa/combine the both Solat, we should do it ourselves (as told by Jabir, narrated by Sa'id bin Manshur).
 (14) Ifadhoh/to leave Arafah:
It is Sunnah to leave Arafah after sunset/the night of 10th Dzul-Hijjah calmly and peacefully. (as narrated by Bukhori and Muslim). [We should follow what our Sheikh Hajj tells us].
While doing so, it is Sunnah to recite the Talbiyah and dzikir until we reach Al-Masy'aril-Harom/Muz-dalifah. ( as narrated by Abu Daud).
 (15) To Jamaa Solat Maghrib with Solat 'Isyaa:
It is Sunnah to combine the Solat Maghrib with Solat 'Isyaa. (as narrated by Muslim). [The reason why the Imam does not perform Jamaa, may be because, not many people know how to Jamaa the Solat].
 (16) From Jabir r.a. that the Prophet s.a.w., after performing the Solat Maghrib combined with Solat 'Isyaa, he s.a.w. laid down waiting for the dawn, then performed Solat Shubuh. [The Prophet s.a.w. was a light sleeper. He s.a.w. slept, but he s.a.w. could know when it was dawning].
But we will not spend a night in Muzdalifah. We will stop for a while. Many people collect stones for the Rites for Stone-throwing.
If any of us do, collect only pebbles and not pieces of broken stones shattered from a big piece of stone. And do not go near the short trees as it is usually where the poisonous snakes and scorpions live, especially if there are holes near it.
[I picked and collected my pebbles under the mat in my tent in Mina. Just lift up the mat, and there are pebbles suitable and more than enough to be collected].
 (17) Then we will leave for Mina.
The next morning, 10th of Dzul-Hijjah, is the Nahar/sacrifice/Idul-Adh-ha Day.
It is Sunnah to perform on this Nahar Day the following in these order:
 (i) Stone-throwing at the Jumroh (Wajib), (ii) Sacrifice an animal (Sunnah), (iii) Shaving or Cutting of Hair (Rukun), (iv) Towaf the Caaba in the Baitulloh (Rukun).
 (18) "Tahallul"/dissolution of Ihrom Hajj "Awwal"/first and "Akhir"/second.
When we have performed the Rites of Stone-throwing and shave or cutting of hair on the Nahar/Idul-Adhha Day, we have ended our Ihrom Hajj, and are free from the prohibitions that imposed on us while in Ihrom except having sex with our spouse. This is called Tahallul Awwal/first dissolution of Ihrom Hajj.
And when we perform Towaf Ifadhoh, our Towaf Rukun Hajj, in Mecca, which is called Tahallul Akhir/the second dissolution, then. we can have sex, and we are totally free from all the prohibitions of the Ihrom Hajj. And we are called, by people, "Hajj or Hajjah"!
 (19) Stone-throwing: (to be continued).
Until we meet again in the next session, see you all Quran Lovers later.
والسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Abdul Hamid Mohd Yusof.
