                                   oooo000oooo
Let us now continue to look into the Basic Islamic Rules:
  (2) Solat: (vii) Sujud/prostration:
The Length Of A Tomaaninah/pause: Thomaaninah is a pause or a rest for a while inorder to stablize the position of the part of the body moved, and its length of time is, as was ascertained by the Ulama, was estimated at least the time taken to recite a Tasbih, that is, "Sub-ha~nal-Loh".
Parts Of Body Used In Sujud: They are the face, the two palms, the two knees and the soles of the both feet/the toes. It was received from 'Abbas ibnu Abdul Muttolib who said that he heard the Prophet s.a.w. said, "When a bondservant Sujud, his seven parts of body also Sujud, that is his face, his two palms, his two knees, and his soles of his feet/toes." (narrated by Jamaah except Bukhari). (b) From Ibnu 'Abbas, "The Prophet s.a.w. commanded that when Sujud, seven parts of the body must be used. And must not hem/draw down the hair or cloth while Sujud (obstructing the forehead from touching the floor), that is, the eyebrows, the two (palms of ) the hands, the two knees and (the soles of) the two feet/toes." And in another report, he said, "I was commanded by the Prophet s.a.w. to Sujud on seven bones, that is, on the eyebrows, and pointed to his nose (the tip of the nose must also touch the floor), on two hands, two knees, and on the toe soles of the feet". (It was unanimously agreed by people of Hadith). And in another narration, he said, "I was commanded to Sujud on the seven parts of the body, and not to draw down/to line my hair or clothing (between the eyerbrows and the floor/ prayer mat), and nose, two hands, two knees and two soles of the feet. (narrated by Muslim and Nasa'i). (c) And from Abu Humeid: (to be continued).
Until we meet again in the next session, see you all Quran Lovers later.
والسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
