Recitation 180

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
بسم الله الرحمان الر حيم
ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh. Please refer to the text:
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
(23) وَإِن كُنتُمْ فِى رَيْبٍ مِّمَّا نَزَّلْنَا عَلَى عَبْدِنَا فَأْتُواْ بِسُورَةٍ مِّن مِّثْلِهِى وَاُعُواْ شُهَدَآءَكُم مِّن دُونِ اُللهِ إِن كُنتُمْ صَدِقِينَ
وَإِن كُنتُمْ فِى رَيْبٍ مِّمَّا نَزَّلْنَا عَلَى عَبْدِنَا = "Wa Ink~Kunt~Tum Fi~ Roi-bim~( an Idghom Ma'al-Ghunnah/assimilation with a nasal sound to 2 harakah)Mim~(a Wajibul-ghunnah/obligatory to hum the nasal sound to 2 harakah)Ma~ Naz-zal Na~ 'A-la~ 'Abb-(a Qolqolah Shoghro/weak emphatic letter)di Na~", "Wa" = And, "In" = if, "Kun" = to be, "Tum" = all of you, "Fi~" = in, "Roi-bin" = doubt, "Mim~Ma~" = of what, "Naz-zal" = send down, reveal, "Na~" = We, " 'A-la~" = upon, to, " 'Abb-di" = bondservant, "Na~" = Our,
فَأْتُواْ بِسُورَةٍ مِّن مِثْلِهِى = "Faa-tu~ Bi Su~ro-tim~Mim~Mith-li Hi~", "Fa" = then, "u-tu~" = bring forth, "Bi" = with, "Su~ro-tin" = a chapter, "Min" = of, "Mith-li" = similar to, "Hi~" = it,
وَاُدْعُواْ شُهَدَآءَ كُم مِّن دُونِ اُللهِ = "Wadd-'u~ SYu-ha-da~~a Kum~Mind~Du~nil-Lahi", "Wa" = and, "udd-u~" = call upon, "SYu-ha-da~~a" = witnesses, assistants, "Kum" = your, "Min" = from, "Du~ni" = other than, " Al-Lahi" = Allah,
إِن كُنتُمْ صَدِقِينَ = "Ink~Kunt~Tum SHo~di-qi~~n". "In" = if, "Kun" = to be, "Tum" = all of you, "SHo~di-qi~na" = truthful.
"Wa Ink~Kunt~Tum Fi~ Roi-bim~Mim~Ma~ Naz-zal Na~ 'A-la~ 'Abb-di Na~ Faa-tu~ Bi Su~ro-tim~Mim~Mith-li Hi~ Wadd-'u~ SYu-ha-da~~a Kum~Mind~Du~nil-Lahi Ink~Kunt~Tum SHo~di-qi~~n". = And if all of you were doubtful about what/the Quran We have revealed to Our bondservant/Muhammad (that the Quran was written by Muhammad) then, (We challenge all of you) bring forth/write or create (just) one chapter like/similar to It/the Quran. And call all of your assistants or helpers other than Allah (to help all of you in writing and creating that one chapter) if you all are really truthful (that it was Muhammad who wrote the Quran and not from Allah).
(24) فَإِن لًّمْ تَفْعَلُواْ وَلَن تَفْعَلُواْ فَاُتَّقُواْ اُلنَّارَ اُلَّتِى وَقُودُهَا اُلنَّاسُ وَاُلْحِجَارَةُ صلى أُعِدَّتْ لِلْكَفِرِينَ
فَإِن لَمْ تَفْعَلُواْ وَلَن تَفْعَلُواْ = "Fa Il-Lam Taf-'a-lu~ Wa Lant~Taf-'a-lu~", "Fa" = Then, "In" = if, "Lam" = not, "Taf-'a-lu~" you all do, "Wa" = and, "Lan" = not, "Taf-'a-lu~" = you all do,
فَاُتَّقُواْ اُلنَّارَ اُلَّتِى وَقُودُهَا اُلنَّاسُ وَاُلْحِجَارَةُ "Fat-Ta-qun~Na~rol-La-ti~ Wa Qu~du-han~Na~su Wal-Hi-ja~roh".  = "Fa" = Then, "it-Ta-qu~" = fear, "an~Na~ro" = the Fiery Hell, "al-La-ti~" = which, "Wa-qu~du" = fuel, "Ha~" = it, "an-Na~su" = the Mankind, "Wa" = and, "al-Hi-ja~ro=tu" = the stones.
"Fa Il-Lam Taf-'a-lu~ Wa Lant~Taf-'a-lu~ Fat-Ta-qun~Na~rol-La-ti~ Wa-qu~du Han~Na~su Wal-Hi-ja~roh". = Then if you all could not do/write it/the one chapter similar to the Quran, and (you all ) would never be able to do/write it, thence, fear the Hell Fire whose fuel is the Mankind and the stones (which were used as idols),
صلى = a Waqof Jaiz/permissible pause sign.
أُعِدَّتْ لِلْكَفِرِينَ = "U-'id-dat Lil-Ka~fi-ri~~n". "U-'d-dat" = made ready, "Li" = for, "al-Ka~fi-ri~na" = the unbelievers.
"U-'id-dat Lil-Ka~fi-ri~~n" = (The Hell Fire is) Made ready for the unbelievers.

Let us now continue to look into the Basic Islamic Rules:
 (2) Solat: (iv) To Recite Surah Al-Fatihah: To recite Al-Fatihah in every "Roka'at"/bowing when standing up in solat Fardhu and in solat Sunnah is obligatory. It was reported in many authentic Hadith that surah Al-Fatihah is Wajib to be recited in every roka'at: From Ubadah ibnu Shamit r.a. who said that the Prophet s.a.w. said, "There is no solat/the solat is not accepted by Allah for those people who do not recite "Fatihatul-Kitab"/Al-Fatihah". (narrated by Jamaah). Hadith from Abu Hurairah, narrated by Ahmad and Bukhari and Muslim, and another Hadith from Abu Hurairah, narrated by Ibnu Khuzaimah, and Ibnu Hibban and Abu Hatim, and the one narrated by Daruquthni, and one from Abu Said, narrated by Abu Daud, all reported that the Prophet s.a.w. said that Al-Fatihah should be recited in every "Roka'ah" in each solat, failing to do so will spoil the solat.
    (a) Those who do not know how to or cannot  recite "Al-Fatihah" should learn to recite It. And in the mean time, while learning to recite It, they may recite "Dzikr" which is of the same standard/quality of the Al-Fatihah, is the "Tasbih"/glorification of Allah i.e. "Sub-ha-nal-Loh", the "Tahmid"/praising and thanking Allah i.e. "Al-Hamdu Lil-Lah", and "Tah-lil"/repeating the formula "La~ I-la~ha Il-Lal-Loh" = there is no other God but Allah, and "Tak-bir"/the exclaimation of "Al-Lohu Ak-bar" = Allah is Great, seven times. This based on the Hadith that the Prophet s.a.w. said, "The "Af-dholu"/preferable Dzikr, after the Words of Allah/the Quran is "Shubb-ha~nal-loh, Wal-Ham-du-lil-Lah, Wa La~ I-la~ha Il-lal-Loh, Wal-Lohu Ak-barr".
Rifa'ah ibnu Rofii was reported to have said that the prophet s.a.w. had taught a man to perform solat, the prophet s.a.w. said to the man, " If you have memorized verses of Quran , recite them. If you did not, then recite: the Tasbih and the Tahmid and the Tahlil and the Takbir, then Rukuu/bow/bend the body." (narrated by Abu Daud and Tirmidzi and Nasa'i and Baihaqi).
 How To Recite The Al-Fatihah:
  (a) Recite the Bas-ma-lah: (to be continued).

 It is really disheartened to hear that the Government might change a portion of the Article of the  National Constitution, from that the Official Religion of Malaysia is Islam to Islam of Ahli Sunnah Wal-Jamaah/Sunnites and following the Madz-bab/Doctrine Asy-Syafieiah. When following the Madzhab As-Syafieiah means that the other three Madzhab are being discarded while they are also of Ahli Sunnah Wal-Jamaah.
The differences of opinions in Islam of Ahli Sunnah Wal-Jamaah is a "Rohmat"/blessing to all Muslims. Imam Asy-Syafiei himself had shown respect to the opinions of Imam Abu Hanifah/Hanafi, and Imam Malik was Imam Syafiei's teacher while Imam Ahmad ibnu Hanbal/Hambali was his pupil. Presently, Malaysia does not  100% follow the Doctrine of Asy-Syafieiah, such as Zakat, we will have to pay with rice and not with money, but do we not pay Zakat with money and not with rice. It is hoped that the Government would not just follow Madzhab Asy-Syafiei alone but also all Mazhab in the Sunnah Wal-Jamaah so that Islam is not being practised rigidly but with ease as was/is required by Allah and His Messenger. May Allah gives guidance to and bestows blessing to all of us.
