أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم
ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Dear Quran Lovers,
Today, Malaysia is celebrating Awal Muharrom, or we call it "Ma'al-Hijrah", our Muslim New Year, 1435 Hijriah to commemorate our beloved Prophet's s.a.w. migration from Mecca to Medina by Allah's order. May Allah forgive us all and bestow His blessing to all of us, our country and the whole world with peace, harmony and prosperity. Amin.
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh. Please refer to the text:

                                   oooo000oooo
Let us now look into the Basic Islamic Rules:
 (2) Solat: (iv) To Recite Surah Al-Fatihah:
    (a) Recite the Basmalah:
School No. Two: That the Basmalah is a verse of its own, revealed to us for us to obtain "Barakah"/blessing from Allah, and it acts as a separator between surah/chapters. And reciting it before Al-Fatihah is permissible and even a Sunnah, and it is not Sunnah to recite it aloud. This is based on the Hadith from Anas who said, " I solat behind the Prophet s.a.w., and also behind Abu Bakr, Umar, and Uthman r.a. and they did not recite loudly, Bismillahir-Rohmanir-Rohi~m". (narrated by Nasa'i, Ibnu Hibban and Tohawi with ascription on stipulation of Bukhari and Muslim).
School No. Three: That the Basmalah is not a verse of Al-Fatihah nor of any other surah, and that reciting it either loudly or softly in either solat fardhu or solat sunnah is Makruh/detestible. This school is not good nor strong.
Ibnu Qoiyim had gathered together the opinions of the School No. 1 and the School No. 2 and said, "The Prophet s.a.w., at times recited Bismillahir-Rohmanir-Rohim loudly and at times recited it softly, and he s.a.w. recited it softly, most of the time. And such thing happened without being noticed by most of his s.a.w. companions".
    (v) Rukuu/bowing: (to be continued).
Until we meet again in the next session, see you all Quran Lovers later.
