Devote yourselves and worship your Lord who created all of you and (who had created) those people before you, so that all of you are being protected (from evil and misfortune).

(23) (to be continued).
                           oooo000oooo
Let us now continue to look into the Basic Islamic Rules:
 (2) Solat: (iii) To Stand Upright In Solat
     (b) To Stand Upright in Solat Sunnah:
When performing solat sunnah, it is permissible to perform it sitting down even though we are able to stand upright, but the "Thawab"/ reward is less. A report from Abdullah bin Umar r.a. who said, "I was told of a report that the Prophet s.a.w. said, "The solat of a person while sitting down is half of the proper solat/perform in standing upright (if he/she is able to perform standing upright)".
When a person is unable to perform solat Fardhu in standing upright, he/she should perform in a position he/she is able to. Allah does not impose a burden to His bondservant more than he/she could bear, and he/she will be rewarded in full. A report from Abu Musa who said that the Prophet s.a.w. said, "When a bondservant is ill or is on the road/travelling, Allah will bestow reward to him as big/much as he performs it while he is not ill or is at home."
(iv) To Recite surah Al-Fatihah: (to be continued).
Until we meet again in the next session, see you all Quran Lovers soon.
Abdul Hamid Mohd Yusof.
