بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh, synopsis of Islam. Please refer to the text:
Ya~~ Ai-yu-hal-La-dzi~na A~ma-nudd-khu-lu~",  "Ya~~Ai-yu-ha~" = O, "al-La-dzi~na" = those who, "A~ma-nu~" = believe, "udd-khu-lu~" = you (pl.) enter,
  فِى اُلسِّلْمِ كَآفَّةً وَلَا تَتَّبِعُواْ خُطُوَتِ اُلشَّيْطَنِ =  "Fis-Sil-mi Ka~~~f-fa-(a Madda Lazim Kalimi Muthaq-qol/Irrevocable Heavy Word Madda, after a Madda, there is a Shaddah, to the length of 6 harakah)-taw~Wa La~ Tat-ta-bi-'u~ KHu-tu-wa~tisy-SYai-to~~n".  "Fi~" = in, "as-Sil-mi" = the Peace/Islam, "Ka~~~f-fa-tan" = all without exception, totally, "Wa" = and, "La~" = do not, "Tat-ta-bi-'u~" = you (pl.) follow, "KHu-tu-wa~ti" = step, stride, "asy-SYai-to~ni" = the Satan.
"Ya~~ Ai-yu-hal-La-dzi~na A~ma-nudd-khu-lu~ Fis-Sil-mi Ka~~~f-fa-taw~Wa La~ Tat-ta-bi-'u~ KHu-tu-wa~tisy-yai-to~~n".  = O those who believe (in Allah), do enter into the (religion of) Islam totally (without any exception), and do not follow the stride of the Satan.
ج = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
إِنَّهُو لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ = "In~na Hu~ La Kum 'A-duw-wum~Mu-bi~~n".    "In~na" = Truly, "Hu~" = he, "La" = to, "Kum" = you (pl.), " 'A-duw-wun" = enemy, "Mu-bi~nun" = clear, evident.
"In~na Hu~ La Kum 'A-duw-wum~Mu-bi~~n".  = Truly he/the Satan is your evident enemy.
(Allah s.w.t. commanded His bondservants to believe and have Faith in Him s.w.t. and to acknowledge His Messenger/the Prophet s.a.w., and to hold firmly the religion of Islam totally and without exception and its/the Islamic religious law, by performing all that He s.w.t. had commanded, and abstaining all that He s.w.t. had forbidden with all one's strength. And that they should not follow the commandments of the Satan. For Satan is the plain and clear enemy of the Believers).
(209) (to be continued).
                                       oooo000oooo
Let us now continue to look into the Rites For Umra:
(iv) Perform Two Rokaat Solat with a Niat performing the Ihrom. In the first Rokaat, recite Al-Fatihah and surah al-Kafirun, and in the second rokaat, recite al-Fatiha and surah Al-Ikhlas/Qul Huwal-lohu Ahad. (reported by Ibnu Umar, narrated by Muslim).
If, Solat Fardhu is perfoprmed, then, the 2 Rokaat Solat Sunnah need not be performed, because the Solat Fardhu covers the Solat Sunnah.
 The Categories of the Ihrom:
There are Three categories of Ihrom:
  (i) Ifrod : Ihrom/to be in the state of become holy for the Hajj only from its Miqot. And after performing the Hajj completely, one will then perform the Umra, and start in a new Ihrom for the Umra from its Miqot.
(ii) Qiron: To perform the Hajj together with the Umra, and a sacrifice of an animal must take place first.
(iii) Ta-mat-taa/to enjoy. This is the most practised Ihrom. We put on the Ihrom for Umra first, then after performing all the Arkan/Basic Elements of the Umra, and the all the Wajibat/ obligatory to be performed, we Tahallul/end the Ihrom for Umra, and we then live our usual daily life until the time to perform the Hajj. Then we shall put on the Ihrom for the Hajj and perform the rites for the Hajj until the end, of the rite by shaving or cutting of hair..
And now we shall look into the Hajj Tamattaa.
(v) Then we shall leave our hotel to go to Mecca. When we arrived at our Miqot, Zul-Hulaifah ( we come from Medina), our Sheikh/leader will tell us to resolve the Niat for performing Umra, by reciting, "I resolve to perform Umra". This is in accordance with what the Prophet s.a.w. did. (as reported by Kamal ibnu Hammam). Then we shall continue to travel to Mecca.
(vi) When Entering Mecca: (to be continued).
Until we meet again in the next session, see you all Quran Lovers later.
والسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Abdul Hamid Mohd Yusof.
