Dear Quran Lovers,
If you have any problem with your Zakah, please contact your Local Islamic Authority.
Let us now continue to look into the Zakah for Crops and Fruits.
Allah have decreed the Zakah for crops and fruits as is mentioned in surah 2 Al-Baqoroh verse 267, and in surah 6 Al-'A~m, verse 141.
Kinds Of Fruit that are Zakah taxable are:
wheat, treated wheat seeds, dried date, raisin and maize, a report from Abu Musa and Mu'adz (narrated by Abu Burdah, and by Daruqutni, Hakim, Tibroni and Baihaqi), and the Hadith narrated by Ibnu Majah.
Those That Are Not Zakah Taxable:
Different kinds of vegetables and fruits other than those  mentioned above (narrated by Daruqutni, Hakim, and Athrom).
The Nishob/minimal amount of crops and fruits to be Zakah Taxable is 5 "Wasq"/(1 Wasq = 60 shoo = 3.1 litre x 5 =) 930 litre.
Rate of Zakat:
If the fruit trees were watered by river water or by rain water, the Zakah is 10%.
But if the fruit trees were watered by water-wheel or were watered by water-springklers which require cost, the Zakah is 5%.
The Zakah is paid when the fruits become ripe, and are in the process of transporting them to the receivers/buyers.
(viii) Zakah For Livestock: (to be continued).
Until we meet again in the next session, see you all Quran Lovers later.
والسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
