Let us now continue to look into the Basic Islamic Rules:
(2) Solat: Water/Tayammum"
(VI) (i) (c): When the water is freezing cold and there is nothing to make it warm/not cold nor there is any way to make it not cold, or one is unable to get into a bath room, then it is permissible to take Tayammum. This is based on the Hadith reported by 'Amru ibnu 'Ash r.a. that once, he was sent to do battle in the Battle of  Chains,
who said, "On a night which exremely cold, I had a wet dream. I feared that I would lose the battle if I take a Ghusul, thence, I took Tayammum, and then performed solat together with my men.
When we went home and went to the Prophet s.a.w., the Prophet s.a.w. asked me, "O 'Amar, is it true that you had performed solat with your men while you were in Janabah?". I replied, "I remembered a verse that Allah 'Azza wa Jal-la/the most Exalted, saying, "Do not kill yourselves, for, truly Allah is Most Merciful to all of you." (surah 4 An-Nisaa, v. 29). Thence, I took Tayammum and performed solat." The Prophet s.a.w. said nothing but he s.a.w. just laughed (soundlessly)." (narrated by Ahmad, Abu Daud, Al-Hakim, Darul-Qotni and Ibun Hibban, and Bukhari noted it down). (Note: When the Prophet s.a.w. did not oppose an action but, either, he kept quiet or laughed, shows that, that action taken was permissible).
(d) (to be continued).
Until we meet again, see you all Quran Lovers later.
