Recitation 2

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
لسم الله الرحمان الرحيم
Assalamu alaikum w. w. Dear Quran lovers,
Insya Allah, we shall from now look into the recitation of the 1st surah, Al-Fatihah:
أعوذ  بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
(1) بِسْمِ اُللهِ اُلرَّحْمَانِ اُلرَّحِيمِ
Ba below with silent Sin is "Bis", Mim below and double Lam is "Mil", Lam above is "La" (a Lam Tarqiq/soft and thinning because it is after the below sign. (b) The present Text, this Lam is with above sign, but in the earlier copy, it is marked with a tiny alif (a Madd ashli). They are the same, we may recite it with or without Madd), (c) this is Alif lam Syamsiah/sun), He below and double Ro is "Hir" (Alif lam Syamsiah, the اُل are ignored), Ro above with silent H*a is "Roh*", Mim above with a tiny Alif is "Ma~" (a Madd ashli = 2 harakah), Nun below and double Ro is "Nir" (Alif lam Syamsiah), Ro above is "Ro", H*a below with Ya is "H*i~" (a Madd ashli = 2 harakah), Mim below is "Mi" but is paused on it, the Madd `Aridh Lis-Sukun/transitory to cease = 4 harakah is applied, "H*i~~m". = In the Name of Allah the Most Compassionate the Most Merciful.
(Note: never recite the basmalah as Bismilla  Hirrohma  Nirrohiim. It is a sin and the Quran is cursing the person who recites this).
Let us look at some of the Rule of Tajwid:
(8) The vowelless/silent Mim: there 3 Rules that govern the silent Mim, مْ : (a) إدغام شفوى = Idghom SYafawi = Oral Assimilation = when the immediate letter after a مْ is another letter م with short vowel sign either above or below or front, the مْ must be assimilated/be absorbed into the marked Mim, with Id-ghom/a humming sound of the nasal to the length of 2 harakah, e.g. لَهُم مَغْفِرَةٌ = lahum~magh-firotun. (b) إخفاء شفوى = Ikhfaa SYafawi = Oral Hiding = when the immediate letter after a مْ is a marked Ba, بَ, بِ, بُ , the silent Mim must be hidden simply, without emphasis, and be pronounced between Izh-har/Expressing clearly and Idghom/assimilating the silent Mim to the letter Ba with a humming sound of the nasal to the length of 2 harakah, e.g. تَعْرِفُهُم بِسِيمَهُم taa-rifuhum~bisi~ma~him. (c) إظهار شفوى = Izh-har SYafawi = Oral expressing clearly = when the immediate letter after مْ is any of the 27 remaining letters, the silent Mim, مْ, must be pronounced distinctively and without humming the nasal sound, e. g. لَمْ يَلِدْ = lam yalidd, اُلْحَمْدُ = Al-ham-du.
                                     oooooooooo00000oooooooooo
Kita lihat pula makna Nama Allah ke 96: اُلْبَاقِى = Al-Ba~qi = Yang Maha Kekal = kekal hidupNya buat selama2nya.
(English) = The Everlasting = from everlasting to everlasting.
Until we meet again. See you all later. Wassalamu alaikum w.w.
