أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
بسم الله الرحمان الرحيم
Assalamu alaikum w. w. Dear Quran lovers,
We shall now look into some other Rules of Tajwid.:
(5) Laf-dzul-Jalalah = Word of Loftiness or pronouncing the Sublimity to Allah i.e. the words اُلله = Allah and اُللَّهُمَّ = Allahumma. The second letter, لَّ = Lam double above in these 2 words are to be pronounced emphasised vigorously that it is pronounced "lo" as in "of" = "Alloh" and not as a soft and thinning out "a"= "Allah". The Lam in these 2 words are emphasised only when their preceding letter is marked with above sign e.g. اَللَّه or اَللَّهُمَّ or إِنَّ اُللَّهَ = in-nal-loha, the Nun is above sign, so the Lam is emphasised, or the preceding letter is front sign e.g. رَسُولُ اُللَّهِ = rosulul-lohi, the Lam before the word Allah is front sign. It is not right to pronounce them as innal-laha and rosulul-lahi. However, if the preceding letter is a below sign, then the second Lam is pronounced soft and thinning out e.g. بِسْمِ اُللَّهِ = Bismil-lahi, the letter مِ Mim is below sign.
(6) مد جاءز منفصل = Madd Jaiz Munfashil = Permissible Disjoin Madd = when the immediate letter of Madd is a standing Hamzah but the standing Hamzah is in the other word e.g. يَدَا~أَبِى = yada~ Abi~ = yada~ = hands, Abi = Abi`s, اُلَّذِى~أَطْعَمَهُم = al-ladzi~ at*-`a-mahum, قَالُواْ~إِنَّ = qo~lu~ inna. The Madd may be pronounced to the length of 5 or 4 harakah and it is permissible to pronounce to the length of 2 harakah.
(7) مد صلة = Madd SHilah = Connecting Madd = connecting Madd of the attached personal pronoun of a third person masculine (his/him), the final He "ـه ", is in the middle of 2 vowels when the recitation is "washol" = continual, the He is pronounced either (a) to the length of 2 harakah if there is no standing Hamzah immediately after the letter He e.g. ولم يكن لَهُ كُفوا أحد = wa lam yakul-la-hu~ kufu-wan ahadd. (b) To the length of 4 or 5 harakah if there is a standing Hamzah immediately after the He e.g. عذابَهُ~ أَحد `a-dza~ba-hu~~ ahad.
Until we meet again. See you all, Quran lovers, soon. Wassalamun alaikum w. w.
