Recitation 342.4

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite verse 196 of surah 2 Al-Baqoroh (synopsis of Islam). Please refer to the text:
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
(196) ذَلِكَ لِمَن لَّمْ يَكُنْ أَهْلُهُو حَاضِرِى اُلْمَسْجِدِ اُلْحَرَامِ ج وَاُتَّقُواْ اُللهَ وَاُعْلَمُواْ~ أَنَّ اُللهَ شَدِيدُ اُلْعِقَابِ
ذَلِكَ لِمَن لَّمْ يَكُنْ أَهْلُهُو حَاضِرِى اُلْمَسْجِدِ اُلْحَرَامِ = "DZa~li-ka Li Mal-Lam Ya-kun Ah-lu Hu~ Ha~dhi-ril-Mas-ji-dil-Ha-ro~~m".  "DZa~li-ka" = That is, "Li" = for, "Man" = whom, "Lam" = do not, "Ya-kun" = he is, "Ah-lu" = family, "Hu~" = his, "Ha~dhi-ri~" = present, "al-Mas-ji-di" = the Mosque, "al-Ha-ro~mi" =  the Forbidden, Sacred.
"DZa-li-ka Li Mal-Lam Ya-kun Ah-lu Hu~ Ha~dhi-ril-Mas-ji-dil-Ha-ro~~m".  = That is (the obligation to) people who do not have their families present at the Sacred Mosque/(non-Meccans to redeem the Fid-yah).
ج = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
وَاُتَّقُواْ اُللهَ = "Wat-Ta-qul-Loha",  "Wa" = And, "it-Ta-qu~" = fear and be devoted to, "Al-Loha" = Allah,

وَاُعْلَمُواْ~ أَنَّ اُللهَ شَدِيدُ اُلْعِقَابِ = "Waa-la-mu~~ An~nal-Loha SYa-di~dul-'I-qo~~bb".  "Wa" = and, "ii-la-mu~" = you (pl.) know, "An~na" = that, "Al-Loha" = Allah, "SYa-di~du" = severe, "al-'I-qo~bi" = inflicting punishment.
"Wat-Ta-qul-Loha Waa-la-mu~~ An~nal-Lo-ha SYa-di~dul-'I-qo~bb".  = And fear Allah and be devoted to Him. And know that Allah is severe in inflicting punishment.
(The Rules and the Regulations in this 196 verse is for those who perform Hajj Tamattoo. They are either to sacrifice an animal, and if they cannot find one or cannot afford to buy one, then they must fast three days in the months of Hajj, that is it is Sunnah to fast on the sixth, seventh and the eighth of DZulhijjah after resolving the "Ni-yat"/intention of performing "Ih-rom"/ritual consecration of the Hajj. Then when return to the home country, fast another seven days making it ten days in all. This is on the non-Meccans who live ninety kilometers or more out side or away from the Masjidul-Harom/the Sacred Mosque. 
Allah s.w.t. then, commanded the Muslimin to fear Him s.w.t. and be devoted to Him s.w.t. and follow His s.w.t. commandments and to abstain from all that He have forbidden in the Hajj rites.  For those who disobey Him s.w.t., will receive severe punishment from Him s.w.t.).
