Recitation 342

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh (synopsis of Islam). Please refer to the text:
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
(196) وَأَتِمُّواْ اُلْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ لِلهِ ج فَإِنْ أُحْصِرْتُمْ فَمَا اُسْتَيْسَرَ مِنَ اُلْهَدْىِ صلى وَلَا تَحْلِقُواْ رُءُوسَكُمْ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ اُلْهَدْىُ مَحِلَّهُو ج فَمَن كَانَ مِنكُم مَّرِيضًا أَوْ بِهِى~ أَذًى مِّن رَّأْسِهِى فَفِدْيَةٌ مِّن صِيَامٍ أَوْ صَدَقَةٍ أَوْ نُسُكٍ ج فَإِذَآ أَمِنتُمْ فَمَن تَمَتَّعَ بِاُلْعُمْرَةِ إِلَى اُلْحَجِّ فَمَا اُسْتَيْسَرَ مِنَ اُلْهَدْىِ ج فَمَن لَّمْ يَجِدْ فَصِيَامُ ثَلَثَةِ أَيَّامٍ فِى اُلْحَجِّ وَسَبْعَةٍ إِذَا رَجَعْتُمْ قلى تِلْكَ عَشَرَةٌ كَامِلَةٌ قلى ذَلِكَ لِمَن لَّمْ يَكُنْ أَهْلُهُو حَاضِرِى اُلْمَسْجِدِ اُلْحَرَامِ ج وَاُتَّقُواْ اُللهَ وَاُعْلَمُواْ~ أَنَّ اُللهَ شَدِيدُ اُلْعِقَابِ
وَأَتِمُّواْ اُلْحَجَّ وَاُلْعُمْرَةَ لِلهِ = "Wa A-tim~mul-Haj-ja Wal-'Um-ro-ta Lil-La~h".  "Wa" = And, "A-tim~mu~" = to be accomplished, "al-Haj-ja" = the Hajj/pilgrimage, "Wa" = and, "al-'Um-ro-ta" = the 'Umroh/minor pilgrimage performed at any time of the year, "Li" = for, "Al-Lahi" = Allah.
"Wa A-tim~mul-Haj-ja Wal-'Um-ro-ta Lil-La~h".  =  And accomplish the Hajj and the 'Umroh for Allah.
ج = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
فَإِنْ أُحْصِرْتُمْ فَمَا اُسْتَيْسَرَ مِنَ اُلْهَدْىِ = "Fa In Uh-shir Tum Fa Mas-tai-sa-ro Mi-nal-Haddy".  "Fa" = Then, "In" = if, "Uh-shir" = to besiege, "Tum" = you (pl.), "Fa" = then, "Ma~" = of what, "is-tai-sa-ro" = to become easy, "Mi-na" = in, "al-Hadd-yi" = the course.
"Fa In Uh-shir Tum Fa Mas-tai-sa-ro Mi-nal-Haddy".  = And if you are being besieged (by the enemies or of sickness), then (slaughter) of what (sacrifices) which are easy (to obtain) in the course.
صلى = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
وَلَا تَحْلِقُواْ رُءُوسَكُمْ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ اُلْهَدْىُ مَحِلَّهُو  = "Wa La~ Tah-li-qu~ Ru-u~sa Kum Hat-ta~ Yabb-lu-ghol-Hadd-yu Ma-hil-lah."  "Wa" = And, "La~" = do not, "Tah-li-qu~" = shave, "Ru-u~si" = heads, "Kum" = your (pl.), "Hat-ta~" = until, before, "Yabb-lu-gho" = reach, "al-Hadd-yu" = the course, "Ma-hil-la" = place, "Hu~" = its.
"Wa La~ Tah-li-qu~ Ru-u~sa Kum Hat-ta~ Yabb-lu-ghol-Hadd-yu Ma-hil-lah".  = But do not shave your heads before you have reached the place of the course for slaughtering the sacrifices.
(In this verse, Allah s.w.t. commanded the Muslimin to perform Hajj and 'Umroh/minor Hajj. Allah say, "and if you are being besieged" means if you are obstructed from reaching the Baitullah/the Sacred Mosque and are being prevented from performing the Hajj and the 'Umroh rites by either your enemies or because of sickness, then you should slaughter sacrifices which are easy to obtain, the least is a goat, or a sheep, or a cattle or a camel. And you must not shave clean your heads (for men. The women, they are only to cut three or more hair) before you reach the place for slaughtering the sacrefices.).
