Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh (synopsis of Islam). Please refer to the text:
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
(195) وَأَنفِقُواْ فِى سَبِيلِ اُللهِ وَلَا تُلْقُواْ  بِأَيْدِيكُمْ إِلَى اُلتَّهْلُكَةِ :. وَأَحْسِنُواْ~ :. إِنَّ اُللهَ يُحِبُّ اُلْمُحْسِنِينَ
(We see that the word وَأَحْسِنُواْ is in between two tricolons, :.  :. which are called "Waqof Taanuq" signs. It denotes pause may be made at either one of the tricolons, that is, we may pause at the word اُلتَّهْلُكَة , or at the word وَأَحْسِنُواْ .).
Wa Anf~fi-qu~ Fi~ Sa-bi~lil-Lahi",  "Wa" = And, "Anf~fi-qu~" = to spend, "Fi~" = in, "Sa-bi~li" = way, cause, "Al-Lahi" = Allah,
"Wa" = and, "La~" = do not, "Tulqu~" = you (pl.) throw down, cast, "Bi" = by, "Ai-di~" =  disposal, selves, "Kum" = your (pl.), "I-la~" = to, "at-Tah-lu-ka-ti" = the destruction, ruin.
"Wa Anf~fi-qu~ Fi~ Sa-bi~lil-Lahi Wa La~ Tul-qu~ Bi Ai-di~ Kum I-lat-Tah-lu-kah".  = And spend (your wealth) in the cause of Allah but do not cast your disposals/selves to destruction.
:.  = a Waqof Taanuq sign.
وَأَحْسِنُواْ~ إٍنَّ اُللهَ يُحِبُّ اُلْمُحْسِنِينَ = "Wa Ah-si-nu~~ In~nal-Loha Yu-hib-bul-Muh-si-ni~~n".  "Wa" = And, "Ah-si-nu~" = be good, do good, "In~na" = truly, "Al-Loha" = Allah, "Yu-hib-bu" = He love, "al-Muh-si-ni~na" = the people who do good.
"Wa Ah-si-nu~~ In~nal-Loha Yu-hib-bul-Muh-si-ni~~n".  = But be good and do good deed. Truly, Allah love those who do good deeds.
(This verse is about "Infaq"/spending wealth in the cause of Allah such as performing the Hajj, 'Umrah, to fasten the "Shilatur-Rohim"/the bond of Uterine friendship, to give to charity, to fight the enemy who attacked the Muslimin, to equip one's own equipment, household equipment and so forth.
And we must not cast ourselves to destruction, Ibnu Wahab had narrated from Abdullah ibnu 'Iyasy from Zais ibnu Aslam that there were people who were sent by the Prophet s.a.w. as  delegates and they went without bringing any provisions/food and water. So Allah s.w.t. told them not to cast themselves to destruction by not bring any provision, and that they must search for food and water first before going on the mission, so that they would not die of hunger or of thirst..
"But be good and do good deed. Truly, Allah love those who do good deeds" means Allah s.w.t. commanded the Muslimin to be good and to do good deed, and to be prudent and to be thrifty and do not waste. For Allah love those who are prudent and thrifty.).
(196) (to be continued).
Until we meet again in the next session, see you all Quran Lovers later.
