Recitation 342.1

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite verse 196 of surah 2 Al-Baqoroh (synopsis of Islam). Please refer to the text.
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
(196) فَمَن كَانَ مِنكُم مَّرِيضًا أَوْ بِهِى~ أَذًى مِّن رَّأْسِهِى فَفِدْيَةٌ مِن  
 صِيَامٍ أَوْ صَدَقَةٍ أَوْ نُسُكٍ  = "Fa Mank~Ka~na Mink~Kum~Ma-ri~dhon Aw Bi Hi~~ A-dzam~Mir-Roo-si Hi~ Fa Fidd-ya-tum~Minsh~SHi-ya~min Aw SHo-da-qo-tin Aw Nu-suk".   "Fa" = Then, "Man" = who, "Ka~na" = to be, "Min" = among, "Kum" = you (pl.), "Ma-ri~dhon" = sick, "Aw" = or, "Bi" = on, "Hi~" = him, "A-dzan" = injury, "Min" = in, "Roo-si" = head, "Hi~" = his, "Fa" = then, "Fidd-ya-tun" = redemption, "Min" = by, "SHi-ya~min" = fast, "Aw" = or, "SHo-da-qo-tin" = alms (by feeding food), "Aw" = or, "Nu-su-kin" = piety/sacrifice.
"Fa Mank~Ka~na Mink~Kum~Ma-ri~dhon Aw Bi Hi~~ A-dzasm~Mir-Roo-si Hi~ Fa Fidd-ya-tum~Minsh~SHi-ya~min Aw SHo-da-qo-tin Aw Nu-suk".  = And if any of you is sick or has a disease or injury on his head (and he shaves his head) then it is "Wajib"/obligatory on him to redeem himself either by fasting (three days) or by giving alms/feeding the poor, or perform piety/sacrifice.
(Bukhori narrated that Ka'ab ibnu 'Ujroh said about the "Fidyah"/redemption by fasting said, "Once, I was brought to the Prophet s.a.w. (while performing the Hajj), and fleas fell in numbers to my face. The Prophet s.a.w. said, "I have never thought that you are troubled like this. Do you have a goat (to be sacrificed)?" "No." I answered. The Prophet s.a.w. said, "Then fast for three days, or feed six poor people, each poor people is to be given half a "Shoo"/about 400 gm. of food, then shave your head.". This verse was revealed solely for me, but it is also for all of you (Muslimin) too".
Imam Ahmad narrated from Ka'ab ibnu 'Ujroh who said, "I was once visited by the Prophet s.a.w. while I was making a fire to my pot and fleas fell in numbers to my face, or he might have said, to my forehead. The Prohet s.a.w. said, "Are the fleas in your head hurting you?" I replied, "Yes". The Prophet s.a.w. said, "Shave your hair and fast three days, or feed six poor people, or slaughter a sacrifice (and distribute it to the poor people).
