Recitation 336

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh (synopsis of Islam). Please refer to the text:
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
(189) وَلَيْسَ اُلْبِرَُّ بِأَن تَأْتُواْ اُلْبُيُوتَ مِن ظُهُورِهَا = "Wa Lai-sal-Bir-ru Bi Ant~Taa-tul-Bu-yu~ta Minzh~ZHu-hu~ri Ha~",  "Wa" = and, "Lai-sa" = not to be, "al-Bir-ru" = righteous, do good, devoted, "Bi" = by, "An" = that, "Taa-tu~" = to come, enter, "al-Bu-yu~ta" = the houses, "Min" = from, "ZHu-hu~ri" = behind, back, "Ha~" = her, it,
وَلَكِنَّ اُلْبِرَّ مَنِ اُتَّقَى = "Wa La~kin~nal-Bir-ro Ma-nit-Ta-qo~".  "Wa" = and, "La~kin~na" = but, "al-Bir-ro" = do good, devoted, "Ma-ni" = who is, "it-Ta-qo~" = devoted.
"Wa Lai-sal-Bir-ru Bi Ant~Taa-tul-Bu-yu~ta Minzh~ZHu-hu~ri Ha~ Wa La~kin~nal-Bir-ro Ma-nit-Ta-qo~".  =  And it is not doing good/devotion to enter the houses by the back, but doing good/devotion is he who is devoted.
قلى = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
وَأْتُواْ اُلْبُيُوتَ مٍنْ أَبْوَبِهَا = "Waa-tul-Bu-yu~ta Min Abb-wa~bi Ha~".  "Wa" = And, So,"u-tu~" = to enter, "al-Bu-yu~ta" = the houses,  "Min" = by, "Abb-wa~bi" = doors, "Ha~" = it.
"Waa-tul-Bu-yu~ta Min Abb-wa~bi Ha~"  = So, enter the houses by its doors.
ج  = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
وَاُتَّقُواْ اُللهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ = "Wat-Ta-qul-Loha La-'al-la Kum Tuf-li-hu~~n".  "Wa" = And, "it-Ta-qu~" = fear and be devoted to, "Al-Loha" = Allah, "La-'al-la" = so that, "Kum" = you (pl.), "Tuf-li-hu~na" = you (pl.) be successful, prosperous.
"Wat-Ta-qul-Loha La-'al-la Kum Tuf-li-hu~~n".  = And fear and be devoted to Allah so that you (pl.) will be prosperous.
(Bukhori narrated from al-Baraa who said, "During the preIslamic time, the Arabs performed "Ih-rom"/pilgrim be in a state of consecration, would enter the "Baitul-Loh"/House of Allah/Sacred Mosque by the back". And Muhammad ibnu Ka'ab said, " Before Islam, when a person wanted to perform "Ii-tikaf"/to pray in seclusion, they did not enter into their houses by the front doors but by the back, or by dismantling the wall. Thus, Allah s.w.t. revealed this verse, "It is not doing good/devotion to enter the houses by the back, but doing good/devotion is he who is devoted (to Allah). So, enter the houses by the proper doors. And fear and be devoted to Allah so that you will  be prosperous".).
