Recitation 339

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
ألسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Dear Quran Lovers,
Let us continue to recite surah 2 Al-Baqoroh (synopsis of Islam). Please refer to the text:
أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم
(192) فَإِنِ اُنتَهَوْاْ فَإِنَّ اُللهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ = "Fa I-nint~ta-haw Fa In~nal-Loha GHo-fu~rur-Ro-hi~~m".   "Fa" = Then, "I-ni" = if, "int~ta-haw" = to end, stop, terminate, "Fa" = then, "In~na" = truly, "Al-Loha" = Allah, "Gho-fu~run" = much-Forgiving, "Ro-hi~mun" =  Merciful.
"Fa I-nit~ta-haw Fa In~nal-Loha GHo-fu~rur-Ro-hi~~m".  = Then if they/the infidels stop (from opposing/fighting you) then Allah is much-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
(This verse means that if they/the Pagan Meccans stop the fight in the Sacred Land of Mecca and turn to Islam and repent of their wrong, then Allah will surely forgive their sin even if they had murdered many Muslimin there. There is no sin too heavy on Allah to forgive, when one repents.).
(193)  وَقَتِلُوهُمْ حَتَّى لَا تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ وَيَكُونَ اُلدِّينُ لِلهِ صلى فَإِنِ اُنِتَهَوْاْ فَلَاعُدْوَنَ إِلَّا عَلَى اُلظَّلِمِينَ
وَقَتِلُوهُمْ حَتَّى لَا تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ وَيَكُونَ اُلدِّينُ لِلهِ = "Wa Qo~ti-lu~ Hum Hat-ta~ La~ Ta-ku~na Fit-na-tuw~Wa Ya-ku~nad-Di~nu Lil-La~~h".  "Wa" = And, But, "Qo~ti-lu~" = kill, fight, "Hum" = them, "Hat-ta~" = until, "La~" = no, "Ta-ku~nu" = to be, "Fit-na-tun" = wickedness/Polytheism, idolatries, "Wa" = and, "Ya-ku~na" = it becomes, "ad-Di~nu" = the religion, fidelity, "Li" = of, to, "Al-Lahi" = Allah.
"Wa Qo~ti-lu~ Hum Hat-ta~ La~ Ta-ku~na Fit-na-tuw~Wa Ya-ku~nad-Di~nu Lil-La~~h".  = But fight them until there is no more "Fitnah"/wickedness/Polytheism, Idolatry, and (until) the fidelity to Allah is absolute.
صلى = a Waqof Jaiz sign.
فَإِنِ اُنتَهَوْاْ فَلَاعُدْوَنَ إِلَّا عَلَى اُلظَّلِمِينَ = "Fa I-nint~ta-haw Fa La~ 'Udd-wa~na Il-la~ 'A-lazh-ZHo~li-mi~~n".  "Fa" = Then, "I-ni" = if, "int~ta-haw" = to end, stop, "Fa" = then, "La~" = no, " 'Udd-wa~na" = to commit a hostile act against, "Il-la~" = except, " 'A-la~" = upon, "azh-ZHo~li-mi~na" = the oppressors, evildoers.
"Fa I-nint~ta-haw Fa La~ 'Udd-wa~na Il-la~ 'A-lazh-ZHo~li-mi~~n".  = And if they cease (from being hostile to you) then there is no more hostility except of those who are evildoers.
(Allah commanded the Muslimin to attack the infidels until there is no more infidelaty/Polytheism and Idolatry exists, and until fidelity to Allah is absolute. But if the infidels cease from worshipping other gods than Allah, then there is no more hostility from them to you, Muslimin, except those who do evil deeds.).
